One thing I have learned about Blye’s stories is they are unique and non-predictable. This was intriguing right from the beginning and didn’t let up. Adulting forced me to take breaks which was difficult to do. I’d catch myself thinking about this story during work, waiting to dive back in.

The author had me falling in love with the undercover cop, Mateo and his love for Imogen. These two have a love, a connection they can’t avoid.

What happens when Imogen’s brother goes missing and fate brings Mat and her back together? Danger, intense love, and an ending you will bite your nails on.

If you enjoy a romantic love story that keeps you at the edge of your seat with danger around the corner, you will want to pick this up.

What a beautiful and compelling read!! Blye Donovan has once again outdone herself, bringing us this emotional rollercoaster of a read that will wrap itself around your heart and blow you away.

Mateo is a total alpha male who is a protector down to his very soul. He has dedicated his life to helping those who aren’t able to help themselves. His strength of character is stunning. he’s everything a woman hopes for in the man of her dreams and more.

My heart went out for him when he thought himself unworthy. I wanted to reach through the pages and shake him and tell him just how special worthy he is.

Imogen is such a badass. Without thought for her own safety she goes above and beyond and does everything she can to save her sibling. Her strength and backbone is clear as she puts herself in danger, despite the fear of the consequences.

Watching them come together again was so heartbreakingly beautiful. I loved that despite what drove them apart, they have found each other again. Their love is as bright and clear as a lighthouse beacon on a dark and stormy night.

This story is addictive to read, compelling and a maelstrom of other emotions that will pull you in and take you on a wonderful journey with characters that instantly become friends.

An absolutely fantastic read!!! So many stars are needed to fully portray how wonderful this book and author are.

Wait For You is a quick, engrossing read that brings emotion and action in spades.

Mateo walked away from the woman he loved because he thought it was the right thing to do. Running into Imogen years later, however, made him realize that “right” was all wrong.

When he found out Imogen had voluntarily put herself into a dangerous position in order to find her missing brother, Mat knew he had to help her, despite the risk of potentially exposing the undercover case he was working on.

I appreciated that the characters acted like intelligent adults throughout the book. Mat knew it was going to take some time for Imogen to hopefully forgive and forget and he was willing to put in the effort. And I gave the author a mental high five when Imogen did what he asked in a situation I can’t disclose without dropping spoilers. Let’s just say she bucked the stereotypical “do it anyway” move that women in movies do and used her brain instead. (I know you’ll get what I mean when you read the book.)

The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the action continues to crescendo the deeper you get into the story. It’ll have you burning through pages to find out what happens next, so pull up a chair and get comfy because you just might be there until you finish.

We have Texas Ranger Mateo deep undercover and has been for over a year in the Lazcano Cartel he’s so close to the end of,he can taste the victory…but then his past or is it fate, stepped in , to bite him? Or give him a second chance? Imogen Sanchez has herself in the path of the Cartel Lazcano lieutenant posing as a maid. Why? Because her brother is missing and she just knows that this son of a gun had an hand in his disappearance. She won’t let nobody get in her way ,even if her past might have a disastrous effect upon her decisions.Mateo…her Mat was always a plus , a positive influence ,but now she needs a clear head to get ahead. Can Mat stay true and on course or be forced to lay down alms to have the one, the only girl he has ever lived in his arms once more. All the answers ,the dances and hot and steamy dreamy as heck raw love and more with an encore are waiting inside . When you decide to pick up and read this awesome , too short book. Worthy of another look. It’s so good but of course it is . Blye Donovan is such a tease with her writing so heavenly sweet too. Go on and read ,why don’t you.

Wow, I really enjoyed Mateo & Imogen's story. Society says they aren't on the same level & so does her family. He's a cop & she's a socialite. Where the hell did he go for five yrs, after he ghosted her? Why is he with the Luzcanos Cartel now?? Five yrs they lost, but can she forgive him for disappearing on her after a yr of dating? She knows that something horrible has happened to her brother & she also knows its the Luzcanos that have him. She may be willing to get herself killed to find him, but she can't do it without the help of the one person she doesn't trust anymore.
This story was exciting, anticipatory, intriguing & a bit heart pounding, especially once they are at the lake safe house! Yikes Can Gem learn to trust Mat again when he explains to her why he left, or will she continue to hold a grudge & risk losing him forever? This book was well written, engaging with a bit of steam but nothing too graphic. Enjoy!

Wait For You is a novella and part of the multi author series, Texas Heat. It is a contemporary, standalone, mafia, m/f, second chance romance with action, intrigue, emotion provoking scenes, and so much more.

I loved Imogen and her kick-butt attitude and strength. I also loved that she was willing to do absolutely anything to find her brother.
Mateo was also fabulous. I loved that he finally realizes the huge mistake he made in the past and is eager to make things right. These two are truly terrific together and they had me rooting for them and their HEA.

This was a quick and entertaining read. The writing, flow, pace, plot, characters, characters development, relationship development, and world building are all awesome. I really do wish it was a full length novel. I would have loved to see more on page. That being said, I would definitely recommend this book.

Wait For You is a fast paced story filled with danger, a bit of mystery, and spice. I loved Imogen for being stubborn, resourceful, and headstrong. Mat is fearless and selfless and once their connection was made, I was rooting for their second chance romance. This story is quite the page turner that I devoured in one sitting, needing to know how it all turned out!

This is a brilliant novella.
Mateo is working undercover to bring down a cartel and is getting close to the end. What he wasn't expecting was to bump into his ex Imogen, who has gone undercover as a maid to find her brother.
Can Mateo keep them both safe so they can get their hea or is it too late?
A must read with a great ending.

Mateo and Imogen

Wow! Loved the story and the suspense. I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it! Mateo and Imogen were in a relationship years ago when he left her and broke her heart when he overheard Imogen and her family speaking about him. He becomes a Texas Ranger and has been undercover with the Cartel. Imogen inserts herself as a housekeeper for the Cartel in the hopes of finding her brother who has been missing. As Mateo offers to help Imogen as well as protect her, both realize that their hearts are in love. As danger becomes closer to them, they need to decide about their feelings.

This has it all. Danger. Spice. Angst. Maybe a second chance. Redemption. And love. Of course, Imogen and Mateo have to survive the web they’re both tangled up in before they can have that second chance and finally get their forever, but they’re both willing to risk it all for that opportunity.

Don’t get me wrong. Imogen should’ve stayed out of danger, but if she had, she wouldn’t have reunited with the one man she’s never forgotten. And Mateo wouldn’t have a chance to make things right. So this is definitely a quick foray into intrigue, trouble, and the shot at getting that forever love to stick this time around.

Wait For You is a quick, action-packed suspense, second chance romance. From the beginning, I was drawn into the story, and it was hard to put down!

Mateo walked away from Imogen five years ago because he thought it was best for her, but he never forgot her. He’s now an undercover Texas ranger who has infiltrated the Jaguar cartel to find the source of their drug business. Imogen is working as a maid in the leader’s home in order to find her brother who she’s convinced is being held by the cartel.

When they run into each other in a hallway both are shocked to see the other. The chemistry is still strong between them, but Mateo has a job to do and he wants to make sure Imogen is safe. Imogen doesn’t trust him and is determined to find her brother.

I love how Blye can build strong, believable characters and a story full of danger, suspense, and romance so quickly. There are twists you don’t expect, and the ending was a complete, but great surprise. Grab a blanket and curl up in your favorite chair because this is a perfect weekend read!

I love a cartel story and this one hits hard! It has all the anticipation, romantic tension and heat, you could want in a romantic suspense.

Imogen is a feisty heroine who infiltrates a cartel leader’s home, disguised as a maid, to find out what happened to her wayward brother. Mateo is a Texas Ranger working undercover to gather information on El Jaguar’s cartel. They have a history together and, when they reunite, things get explosive. I’m surprised I have any nails left.

These two sizzle on the page and their emotional connection is palpable. But there is so much more going on in this book, the twist gave me whiplash. And you honestly don’t know what’s going to happen next.

Blye Donovan is one of my favorite authors and with each book she brings something different. Though, one thing remains the same, Donovan’s beautiful wordsmithing weaving a compelling and delicious story. She’s my one click author and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Years later, Mateo is a Texas Ranger, deep undercover in a vicious cartel. The newest maid that he ran into is no maid at all, but Imogen on her own undercover mission to find her brother. Keeping Gen close and still doing his job, Mateo must find a way to bring down the cartel before being discovered.

This story is exciting, romantic, steamy and suspenseful. It grabs hold in the first chapter and keeps you under till the last chapter.

This book was a second chance romantic suspense novella. Imogen is searching for her younger brother who disappeared a few months ago and gets a job as a maid for a local cartel leader to look for clues. While there, she discovers her ex-boyfriend, Mateo, working undercover as the second in command.

There was great chemistry and the story moved at the right pace. There were some parts that I wish could have been stretched out a bit, but it’s a novella, so there isn’t time to have as many scenes that would expand the story rather than just recapping what happened. The characters feel realistic and were relatable.

This is a standalone story that is part of a larger series (Texas Heat) by different authors.

Okay, I don't want to be unfair because this is a novella so I'll start by saying that I liked it. The premise is interesting and the characters are equally interesting and their story is very beautiful (although cliché!), but I feel like it would have worked better if it was a longer book so we wouldn't miss some scenes. Because a lot of the things I wanted to see were just told to me, especially the ending! I so wanted to see how it all happened....

There were also some inconsistencies and some bad decisions, especially from the fmc, that made me roll my eyes!

The action scenes were impeccable and the scenes between them were also good!

I still recommend it because it's a quick read that will stick with you!

This is my first time reading a book by blye Donovan and it won't be my last, let me tell you I loved every single minute of it. It's such a crazy rollercoaster ride with twists and turns you don't see coming at all. It's packed with spice, second chances, danger, action, drama, angst, love and so much more. The characters, storyline and plot where wonderfully written. I really liked Imogen and Marek, Their story truly captived me. There chemistry is undeniable and they have to work together to save her brother. It's a quick read that I steam rolled through.

I can't wait to see what else this author has wrote. Highly recommend.

Mat and Imogen's story pulled me right into the pages. Blye set up a compelling novella with some twists and turns that kept me reading and wondering how it was going to all turn out. This second chance romance had spice, reveals and miscommunication the hero and heroine had to work out. I also really enjoyed the action scenes and how the characters were working undercover and constantly walking a dangerous line of deception with dire consequences. A few times, I found myself holding my breath as I waited to see what would happen. Great job, Blye! I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Undercover Danger

The suspenseful buildup of this story was truly captivating as Imogen goes undercover as a maid to find out what happened to her brother. Not to mention that her she runs into Mateo, the man that broken her heart which definitely adds to the heat and complication of the plot. It was a heart pounding and heartbreaking story to read but the outcome was worth it in the end. Enjoyable and entertaining, this book was a great read.

Reconnected Love

This was a wonderfully quick read without losing any of its momentum. When Imogen realizes her old flame, Mateo, is working with the same Cartel she suspects her missing brother is being held by, she wastes no time in recruiting him to her cause.

There is plenty of spice and smexual tension without it dominating and taking over the storyline. I love me a good smut filled book, but it’s refreshing sometimes when it only adds to the story and doesn’t become the only plot line lol

If you enjoy romantic suspense, I highly recommend checking this one out! Something about this authors' writing style is so compelling, it just draws you right into the action and keeps you *right there* on the edge. Which is exactly what I want in any good story, and Blye does it very well. I truly enjoyed Mat and Imogen's story and the only thing I could have wanted is more of them. I think that itself speaks to this authors' talent. Keep this gem of an author on your radar!

Emotional and action packed.

When Imogen is trying to find her brother, she gets help from undercover operative in the Cartel, Mateo.

Fast paced and loaded with danger and romantic.
Mateo is finishing it hard to come to terms with all that Imogen is dealing with as well as being undercover and saving his cover. But their attraction for each other takes over.

Well done a great story and a wonderland plot!

Imogen and Mateo reconnected after 5 years apart and were pretty instantly pulled back together. There was a lot going on with the storyline of the cartel, but it didn't feel rushed, it just felt like a good amount of action and suspense trying to figure out how it would all work out in the end. It was wrapped up nicely.

The characters had a great connection and if you enjoy second chance romances, this was a good one!

Blye really brought out the frustration in me as I wanted to smack some sense into Gen. I found myself yelling at her character as i read. You admire her strength & tenacity. Mat absolutely had me on his side from the get go. His venerability on his self worth hurt my heart. Danger to dodge & lots of steam definitely has made me enjoy this fabulous read.

Wait for You is part of the Texas Heat series. This is the first book I’m reading by this author. I absolutely loved this book. Imogen comes from a wealthy family and is trying to find her brother. Mateo is an undercover Texas Ranger. They haven’t seen each other in 5 years. This book is packed full of everything a romance reader loves. I cannot wait to read more books by this author.
