Prepare to take flight with the Shirán in book two of Elven Worlds, a new epic fantasy series from R.K. Lander.
Fel'annár is now a Shirán warrior and must fly south for his final training as a war dragon, under the auspices of General Ortalan. Travelling with old friends he can't remember, he must learn the ways of war against the revenant demigod Arzen. But the road to his new life proves more gruelling than he could ever have anticipated.
As he struggles to regain his memories and reconcile them with his new identity, Fel'annár must recall how to harness his light to stop Arzen from colonising the last human city of Fort Arlys. But the race to remember becomes desperate as the demigod's power grows, and the threat to all Elvendom looms larger than ever.
"With non-stop action and breathtakingly beautiful world-building, R.K. Lander will leave you breathless and eager for more." Amazon reviewer.

I read Tolkien and Hobb. I read Robert Jordan and Will Wight. I read all those classic fantasy books and when there was nothing left to read, I wrote my own stories, the ones I wanted to read but couldn't find.
I love epic fantasy. The battles, the creatures, the riveting stories and sweeping worlds. But I love the characters just as much. I love the intrigue, the politics, the strategy and the philosophy behind the magic systems. I love imaginary worlds that make sense, and I love characters that think logically.
I love exploring the depths of the warrior mindset. I love the emotions that life-changing events bring about, and if I can make my readers feel all those things, then that is what I most love about writing.
I hope you will read my stories and enjoy them, and if you do, I would love to hear from you.
I love I can click spoilers on Goodreads! Hold on, this book is an emotional journey. It’s amazing how the nuances of interpersonal relationships can be the defining moments in this book. The moments an unexpected tear rolled down my cheek were so insignificant in the scheme of the chaos that is Feldar’s second life. But my goodness, they are what keep you going! Like when Tensari said “And those we have yet to live, my friend.”
There are moments where you feel the echoing of ‘The Company’ - Feldar’s brothers of blood & life - they must be close!
Whilst his new power is magnificent & a twist I never saw coming. I crave for Green Shadow to find his way back to Green Sun & the trees, almost as you feel he does.
And lastly…. is it Llyniel in the market? I have to know!!! Could it be…? Their love seemed like it could defy even death & find it’s way…!!! I will hold onto the hope!

Book 2 of the Elven Worlds series, Flight of the Shirán, follows Order of Shirán. The battles against the rapidly growing forces of Arzen turn into all out war, as the outnumbered elven alliance tries to prevent the enslavement of the human population. A new Shiran Warrior is struggling to regain his memories and has to uncover what his abilities are and how to use them before the world’s defenders are annihilated. The world building is detailed and the characters are well thought out and evolving.
The author’s first series, the Silvan, is also worth reading and a few characters make appearances in this series.
Flight of the Shiran tells of the Shirans trek to the desert in the south to face off with the demigod Arzen. Feldar’s struggles to remember his first life while trying to navigate this new world. The war in the south is escalating, and Ortalan and his Shirán must travel to the desert to protect Fort Arlys from take over by the revenants. There is sadness but also humor, romance, and loads of action. And you if youvlove dragons, well, this is where you should be. Amazing world building by the premiere female author of Epic Fantasy. Definitely a 5 star read.
Another read I could not put down. My only comment would be; I had to go back and read the last chapter of the previous book, as I could not remember who every one was (but that’s just me). A wonderful read and kept on guessing again right to the end. Now I cannot wait for the next book, pre ordered already 😊. Thank you for another excellent book.
I absolutely loved the 2nd book in this series. Flight of the Shiran tells of the Shirans trek to the desert in the south to face off with the demigod Arzen. There is sadness but also humor, romance, and loads of action. And you love dragons, well, this is where you should be. Amazing world building by the premiere female author of Epic Fantasy. Emotional roller-coaster throughout, engaging and fantastical
Another fantastic book by R.K. Lander! Wonderfully written to be engaging from beginning to end. Your heart will definitely be put to the test throughout this emotional roller-coaster. Felder will leave you wanting more with every turn of the pafe. Couldn't put it down.
Elven Worlds #2. This is also part of "The Sylvan" series which was 6 books, so it could be considered #8 if one is inclined. Book 3 is supposed to be published in 2024 (according to Amazon) and I've already pre-ordered it.
The war between the revenants and the elven/human alliance continues. Feldar, once Fel’annár, is in training to fight effectively in his dragon form. He has become increasingly mercurial in temperament. He's extremely frustrated with the training, and also with his inability to remember certain people, places and events. The horrendous memory that he does retain has destroyed any sense of peace that he might have found in this new life. Feldar and Fel’annár are opposite ends of the spectrum.
If you are considering this series it would be best to go back to Book 1 of the Sylvan series: Path of a Novice. The names, titles, positions, lands, magic system, and character histories are too complex to just start here. Thank goodness the author offers a free glossary to download from her website, because I had forgotten the meaning of some titles!
It skipped the part of his family. And the confusion about the different states of being. I felt Onera was not my favorite she precipated Ezra going into battle for her own choice not what was good for him. Feldar remembered but the light has changed. I wonder if Ezra will turn. I think the human king should have killed his daughter to prevent her being taken.
It's always difficult to read (and I presume, write) the middle book of a trilogy. The first book is the setting up, the final book is the concluding action, but the middle one often is just a slog. That was the case with this title. The self-loathing and anger of Feldar was horribly hard to read, and it didn't stop until 60% through the book. After that, though, the action began in earnest and it was a great read.
Now with his memories, our hero creates a new Company of friends.
From lost and defeated, now able to transform into dragon form for battle. New powers emerge and friends are captured. They must regroup and plan their next moves.
took me almost a month to get through this damn book. won’t be reading anymore. ruined felannars character. truly awful to have come this far and hate it
