Billionaire Carter Brooks has everything at his fingertips. As the eldest son running his family's hotels and casino chains, he has everything a man can want, except the fiancé he lost in a car accident before his wedding.
Losing her almost destroyed him, and he did not want to feel that type of pain again, but then a whirlwind named Zahara came into his life, and he tried keeping her at arm’s length until the day he gave into the attraction between them that one time, before walking away from her.
So why could he not forget about her and the time he made her his in a small cabin in Colorado? Zahara was all wrong for him and did not belong in his world or in his life. But life has a funny way of twisting your world upside down, and now he was forced to marry the woman he did not want to give his unborn child a home. He was determined to only give her his name and his body, not his heart.
18+, Steamy loves scene and strong language. HEA.

I love writing and bringing characters to life. I would get ideas for plots or themes for novels by watching TV or seeing an interaction on the street during one of my walks. I have so many ideas that I don't think I will ever be at a loss for a new book to write lol.
Reading romance is one of my favorite pastimes, next to horror books. Love me some Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
Maybe one day I will write in that genre too. Or combine the two......
**Do not diminish an authors hard work by trying to tank her by saying her book is AI. The amount of time I sit down to write everyday to the point I am now having issues with my kidney is not a joke. If you don’t like my work that is fine, if you want to point out things I can work on that is good too. But people messing with authors to get them to quit or lose revenue is appalling. I am not going anywhere..
I was surprised when reading this book. It was poorly researched, the timelines were screwed up and the character development was lacking. Zahara was a doormat and Carter was a bore still pining for his dead fiancee. The perfect non-melanated wife. Zahara lacked self esteem. There so many inconsistencies. Who puts a chem lab in an office? This book was so disappointing. I don't understand IR authors. The black FMCs are written as insecure and desperate, allowing the MCs to disrespect them. He even names one of his children after the dead fiancee! The blurb from the next book hints more of the same. The MC is so in love with his blond, blue eyed dream girl he is going to make his long time black female best friend suffer for interfering with his plans. In this book the best friend is describe kind of attractive and tomboyish. Ugh! This is apparently the blueprint for this author's books. Jasper and Gayle are the exception. I was very disappointed with this book.
For her it was love at first sight, but for it was a definite No No . The attraction was there for him, but he nipped it to the buds, aside from a traumatic circumstance that turned him off love, she was way to young for him … but Zahara knew that her and Carter Brooks were meant to be. And she was relentless… However, what meant to be will be … Great story and wonderful characters. Now, I need to meet with Michael and Ambra . Ciao!
The book is cheesy. The intimate scenes are bad. Bud the biggest problem was this book one didn’t feel like a book one. The author kept referencing time spent at the ranch and how they met but where is that story??? I was lost for the majority of the story cause a lot happened off page and I don’t know if it’s because there is a prequel that I didn’t read or I was just supposed to assume stuff. Whatever the case I didn’t like it.
The book had laughter and sadness with the groom losing his first love in a car accident. You will have to read a few more of books by this author to know others characters mentioned in the storyline. A great read. Rate it a 4 to 5. Can’t wait until book 2
This was a good story, I know billionaires can sometimes be eccentric, but I didn't like the way he approached the subject of marriage with no love. But all is well that ends well. I am glad that he removed the stick and realized that he was in love, he was just afraid of losing someone he cared about again.
Zahara knew from their first encounter that Carter was going to be the love of her life. She was destined to make her the love of his life. As hard as he fought it, she fought it just as hard to make it true. She did try to tell him that he was pregnant and if he had no intention of being in a loving relationship that she would co-parent with him. But she misread the meeting that she witnessed and ran home. Making him crazy. Wondering why she left without seeing him. He was still attracted to her, just not in love with her. He wanted her just as much. She was the only woman that he desired and had been with after his fiance had died. He went as far as moving down the hall to be near her, because he wanted her and needed to be near her and his baby. He went as far as blackmailing her into marrying him. It was for the right reason, but he went about it the wrong way. Making their marriage start off extremely rocky. but after he realized that she was the woman for him and he really did love her, he proved to her that he loved more than just the babies. Not requiring her to sign the prenup, proved it to her. And the touch and go with the babies, worked out. And the ending is the spin off to another romantic adventure. Love this whole series. Happy it worked out for their little family.
I really enjoyed this captivating story with amazing characters that are enjoyable with a relationship that is entertaining and drama filled. The couple has a sizzling chemistry that burn up the pages. The story is full of discovery and some saddest. I really enjoyed this story its a must read by this author. It makes me a fan. It has a strong and brave woman and a man who will fight for his family even if it's consider as wrong.Of course their relationship is one through time. There are interesting twists with so much excitement it will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is fast paced and exciting especially at the end of this story, but I'm happy that I enjoyed reading this author. It's intriguing with a enjoyable plot it will keep you turning pages until the end. I enjoy every moment of the couple's relationship they are the kind that I can't put my reader down until I finished the story if you are like myself you will enjoy it because this is definitely a excellent romance!!. This is the kind of story that has you cheering for everyone.
This was good. Carter Brooks was carrying guilt because his former fiancee got in a car accident after they parted from a heated argument. He hurt Zahara's feelings because he was fighting his feelings for her (he was falling in love with her, too) and was trying to avoid hurt. I am glad that his father pulled him aside to let him know that "death is part of living" and he needed to learn to love and live life to the fullest. Basically, he needed to "grow up" and let love in. Sorry for the rambling! LOL! Anyway, this was a good book and I am glad that Zahara and Carter got their HEA. I am now looking forward to the next book in the Brooks Brothers series.
I love a handsome, brooding alpha male and an optimistic but spunky beauty in love with him.
Carter and Zahara were like oil and water one minute and fire and gasoline in the next. She was determined to make him realize that they were meant to be. However, he wasn’t buying it even though he couldn’t keep his hands off of her. Several of the characters are from previous love stories before this one, so I will be going back to find them. But, this one can stand alone and is a good read. Highly recommend.
I loved and enjoyed reading every bit about Carter and Zahara's story. This was a story about two very strong characters who loved each other strongly. I would absolutely recommend reading this book I think you'll love it, it had heat, humor and a fun book to read. Great job Ms. Williams I can't wait to read. Michael's story that should be lots of fun. Thank you.
The road to infinity for Carter and Zahara was a bumpy ride for a long while however once Carter acknowledged that he really loved Zahara, life got sweeter .
What I also loved about this book was the extended family dynamics of both Carter and Zahara’s families.
I was immediately drawn in by the characters and their story. It was sweet to see how their relationship matured and Carter and Zahara each got what they were looking for. An enjoyable read.
Carter really wasn’t one of my favorite people but he did redeem himself towards the end when his mind and heart aligned and he realized that he was possessively madly in love with Zahara. Zahara fell in love with him at first sight and had to painfully wait for Carter to catch up. I’m glad that they got their own HEA with their twin daughters and son on the way.
Sweet storytelling…She could have gone a little easier on him as his kiss said it all at the wedding. Glad she stopped being immature! Overall a Wonderful HEA
This is great. He's intense, love how the tables turn. Engaging and steamy romance, new to me author, love this writing style. Definitely will be looking for more from this author.
With a rocky start and an end to her virginity, Carter ignored her then decided that he wanted her. Men can be so fickle. Women can too. Williams has outdone herself by engaging us in figuring out this mystery of love. Great beginning to this Brooks Brothers series. Loved it and finished it before bedtime.
I'm always saying, "Romance is in the Books." I'm thinking I really mean, "Love at First Sight is in the Books." It kind of seems fast since the old adage says you aren't meeting the true nature of that person until you get to know them. This story worked out well considering. She stayed confident, waited patiently and got her man. This author did a good job giving these two a love affair worth living. It may seem like spoiler alert but you still have to read the journey to see what it took to get there.
Such an amazing story. Zahara and Carter's story was hilarious, spicy, and exciting, it had me feeling all kinds of emotions. The final chapters about them had me tearing up. Highly recommended.
The book fell a bit short of my expectations. While there were moments where the story showed potential, I often found myself struggling to stay engaged. Some chapters felt uneven, with either an overwhelming amount of detail or not enough to fully develop the narrative. Additionally, the ending seemed rushed, leaving me wishing for a more satisfying conclusion. While it wasn’t the most compelling read for me, it might appeal to readers who prefer a quicker pace or less intricate storytelling.
Carter is Book 1 of the Brooks Brothers Series. This series is really enjoyable. Carter and Zahara met previously and parted ways. Zahara finds out that she's pregnant by Carter. She contacts him to let him know. He's excited and agree to meet. Nothing has changed, the attraction is explosive. Carter wants to get married so he can take care and provide for Zahara and the baby. Sarah needs 3 little words from Carter. Get the Brooks Brothers Series, you will love it. Chemistry is off the charts!!🔥🔥💕💕
I highly recommend. The book was good from beginning to end. The twists and turns keep you engaged. Zahara was a force to be reckoned with and how the A.R. Williams explored preeclampsia in pregnancy. Such a good book. Zahara and Carter are the testament of sometimes have to be patient with love.
Carter struggled with expressing his feelings. Love has not been kind to him. In comes Zahara a strong independent woman who knocks him off his feet. Not being able to control her has him feeling weak. She is his weakness. She pokes and prods hoping to get him to see they are meant to be. Their chemistry is undeniable!!! True love prevails
I love well written stories that connect family and characters from other stories. It is like receiving updates on how everyone is doing. Loved Zaharah and Carter's love story. Reminds the reader that life is meant to be enjoyed and lived.
Wow what an affair. Virgins are a rarity. Sahara was definitely her own woman. I think she took it to the extreme, but it turned out just the way she wanted it. Great romance story.
This book was well down and relatable. Carter’s fear and guilt kept him from living life to the fullest. Zahara wasn’t one to give up and knew exactly what she wanted. I loved their story even with the twists and turns that came about.
Book was good , characters great . Carter had met hiss match in Zahara . He had to learn how to take no for the answer and he was not always in control.
