OH. MY. GOD.

When I read the synopsis of this book, I was already hooked. The number of pages took me by surprise, but I took as a a challenge. Turns out it wasn't that much of a challenge after all: I just couldn't stop reading it.

The characters are so well described, I loved (and hated) them instantly. The action is so riveting, my heart was pounding in my chest. And the SPICE. MY GOD.

I wasn't that much into fated mates before, but I've read a couple of books with this trope and it's starting to become one of my favorites. Gotta love my HEAs. And lovers to enemies.... Enemies to lovers is another of my favorite tropes. Lovers to enemies is strangely satisfying too.

The different POVs were a little bit confusing to follow at first, but when I got the hang of it, it felt natural.

Don't let the thickness of the book fool you: you'll love this one, I'm pretty sure of it.

TW for blood, murder, gore, agressive, toxic and abusing partner, kidnapping, rape, cheating, car accident

If you say shifter romance, I'm there. I don't care how many I read, I'm addicted!

Emma is the only daughter of the pack alpha. Unfortunately because she's a woman, she cannot become the next alpha. No, that will fall to her partner. Yet her current partner isn't her fated mate. I absolutely devoured this book. This is my first book from this author, but it won't be my last. Can't wait to read more of the series.

Spice: 3 peppers

There is nothing like the feeling of reading “lovers to enemies” as one of the tropes. My knees shake and I brace myself for a potential heartbreak every time. Well, this is one of this book’s main tropes, alongside fated mates, which is a classic favorite of mine.

EMMA is a wolf shifter romance and a thick one at that! It took me a while to get through it, but I enjoyed getting to dive into the intricate pack dynamics and get to know the characters—Emma, her family and friends, and especially her boyfriend Christian. Emma is the Luna of the pack, meaning that she is the daughter of the alpha. Seeing as she’s not a man, and therefore can’t take her father’s place as the alpha, that role will fall to her partner. The problem? As much as she loves Christian, he’s not her true mate, so every time there’s the chance for him to mark her, she hesitates. And Christian, as much as he appears as a saint at the start, can’t help but fall into frustration seeing as he’s been training to become alpha for years. A very dangerous state of mind to be in, considering his own father has beef with the alpha and has plans to instate Christian as alpha without Emma.

As I said, the drama was drama-ing, and the premise was quite interesting and one I haven’t encountered often. This book is also very character driven, which is always something I enjoy.

I have to admit I enjoyed Christian’s character in the beginning, but the more he fell prey to his ambition, the more he turned too much into a villain. I’ll admit, the transition broke my heart, but I also strangely liked it? Somehow it made him become one of the most interesting characters in the book. The fun thing about Emma and Christian’s arguments is that I could really put myself in both of their shoes. I could understand Emma’s hesitance and wanting to find her true mate, at the same time I could see why Christian was frustrated that the woman who claimed to love him wasn’t taking a chance on him, especially seeing how much he’d been preparing beforehand. Does this justify the things Christian does? Not in the real world. In a fantasy world, however, I do appreciate a good villain arc. That being said, I also very much enjoyed seeing Emma’s journey—hers and that of her friends—and how she finds her true mate, Cole. He’s a character that is well within my chords. Although I do wish we’d seen some of that happening a little sooner in the book.

And this brings to another point. While I did appreciate the setup, there were some scenes I could have easily done without. I would have preferred keeping the POVs contained to Emma, Christian and Cole rather than branch out to other characters too. Without those extra chapters, I feel like the book would have been shorter and, consequently, the story would have moved forward faster.

Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.

Shifter romance is one of the genre I jump on every so often and I’ve been fortunate lately with the ones I’ve read!

This story is perfect for lovers of:

• shifter lovers
• romance
• dual pov
• enemies to lovers
• fated mates

This baby was thick but we got thru it with romance and twists. Emma is the daughter of the Alpha of the Luna pack. The next in line to be alpha is Emma but since she’s a female she can’t take that place, instead it has to be the one she mates with. She finds herself in a predicament when her current boyfriend isn’t her mate, she’s hesitant to accept Christian as her mate.

I enjoyed the story! Although it was a bit on the slower side, it didn’t stop me from loving the characters since the story was heavily driven by them. I’m looking forward to reading more about this series!

Huge thanks to the author for gifting me a beautiful copy. All opinions are my own.

This thicc book is going to be your next shifter romance obsession!

The story follows Emma, the Alpha's daughter and future Luna of her pack. As an only child and a female at that, Emma will never inherit the role of Alpha from her father. The title will instead pass on to her parnter, Christian, who has been training for years for the role while waiting for Emma to be ready to Mark him. The only problem? Christian isn't Emma's true mate, and though she loves him, that fact holds Emma back and creates strains in the relationship that set off a chain reaction of drama, betrayal and surprises.

As I mentioned, this book is long and of the slower paced variety. The author really takes the time at the beginning to not only set up the story, but to dive deeply into the character relationships, the lore and the pack dynamics. This book is definitely perfect for lovers of multiple POV narration for that aspect given the amount of POV characters. Most of the characters are easily loveable, and I especially appreciated Emma's relationship with her parents and with her best friends. It was so refreshing to see a healthy family in a fantasy novel, and to have a group of women who love and support each other so fiercely!

The book also explores the concept of mating bonds in a very interesting way. I loved the distinction between Chosen mates and True mates in the lore, but I especially was interested in watching how this bond created such friction and conflict within the pack and the relationships. Perhaps this is why I found Christian to be one of the most interesting characters. He is the character where this dynamic has the most life-altering implications, and I could understand his frustration and why he would feel like he was being denied something he deserved with Emma's hesitation. Sure, some of his behaviors (which I admittedly found a little sudden and in some ways conveniently made him unlikable) were unforgivable, but hadn't he been training for the role of Alpha for years? Hadn't he been a perfect boyfriend to Emma in the years of their relationship?

As you may understand, I somewhat found myself rooting for the villain in this book. However, I did like the relationship between Emma and her true mate, Cole. This was a great first book in a series, and it sets up the plot for even more interesting adventures in the future books. However, I do think the story would have benefitted from reducing the POV chapters and focusing on Emma's story rather than giving the other characters equal weight. Especially since the Christian-Emma-Cole dynamic was the most interesting to explore!

Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy in exchange for a review. Opinions are my own.

What a ride!
Emma is the only daughter in her family and the fact that she is a female means that her mate chosen or fated will be the next Alpha of the pack. The story begins with Emma and Christian's relationship (he is the Beta's son) and how they think of marking each other. Christian seems fine and totally in love with Emma but as the story goes on he reveals his true colors. A failed attack leaves Emma unconscious in the hospital and it's then that her boyfriend decides that not only will he take the pack but will mark her, too. In an attempt to save Emma her two best friends kidnap her and take her out of the pack. In their run towards their destination, they are chasen by rogues and stumble upon the Cresent Pack. But what they don't know is that they stumbled upon their fate.
Things that I liked:
The plot was really good and had me hooked.
The characters' development struggle and different people's pov.
The different kinds of emotions that this book ignited.
I believe I had a lot of time to release such a gasp as I did at the first death in the book. I didn't see it coming that fast and effortlessly.
The steamy moments were really good. Although, I'd prefer more with Cole than Christian.
The bad guys took what they deserved in the end.
There were a lot of twists and turns, battle moments, and conflicts.
The end had me hanging on a cliff. I really hope this will be continued in book 2.
All in all it was a perfect book to read. I have to admit that I found only one disadvantage: Its length. This book is huge. It has the length of two books but the plot of one. There are a lot of different POVs and maybe irrelevant situations mentioned that didn't have anything to do with the plot. It helped me learn about the side characters though.

I highly recommend it!

Well that was so much more than I was expecting!
What a book!
This is one hell of a shifter romance story. Told from multiple first person POV it’s extremely immersive and funny! Oh my the spice is on point and throughout but there is one hell of a story to go with it and so many lovable characters. I could read all the back stories

I don’t do spoilers but I’ve got to say Grandad you old dog, you are a LEGEND!

Here’s a few extracts to make you smile…
‘There’s no one else who can cum on my dick quite like you Kitten.’ How beautiful. He could give Wordsworth a run for his money with his romantic talent.

“I know, I’ve got my big girl pants on.” “Well, I suppose something’s got to stop him from getting in there.”

“So you're allowed to have wet, dry-humping, make-out sessions by the lake with the tall tattooed horny Alpha, and Leah, you’re getting fingered… over breakfast. Why can’t I jump the hot sexy warrior? Don’t you both remember I’m the one who is supposed to have the least self-control? Do you know how badly I want that man to eat strawberries out of my vagina!”

If in doubt buy it! It’s worth it

Anyone who knows me knows that i was always gonna jump at this book.. A shifter romance, fated mates, lovers to enemies, found family... all fav tropes of mine!!

I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that this book was about to take me on. The characters are so well written that they each envoked massively intense feelings, from friendships rivaling sisterhood to overwhelming urges to throat punch certain villians ( not mentioning any names to avoid any spoilers)
The excellent writing style and great storyline had me crying happy tears, screaming at my kindle, ugly crying heartbroken sobs and throwing my kindle across the bed.
I can just tell this author and this series are going to tear my heart apart and put the pieces back together over and over again... I cannot wait!!

This book had me in a chokehold. Emma (Sisters of the Moon, Book 1) is everything I want in a shifter romance.

Emma is that girl. She’s strong, feisty, and refuses to sit quietly as Luna. Every time she pushes back, Christian unravels even more. He’s the kind of possessive Alpha who is meant to follow fate but can’t stay away from the one woman destiny never chose for him.

The story is packed with drama and spice that does not disappoint. It is addictive and impossible to put down. I’m sad it’s over because now I’m left hungry for more.

I will 100% be stalking the author for updates on Book 2 because I’m not ready to leave this world behind.

Emma By GLH
Five Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I don't even know where to start. This has been the longest book I've ever read and it was 100% worth every single page! I loved absolutely everything about Emma and her journey. I don't want to say much about what happens in this thick beauty of a book, except for it is amazingly written and worth the read! Multiple POVs which helps the story move along in a wonderful way! Every character is just perfectly written for the way the way they turn out throughout reading! Honestly I'm never getting over this book! One of my top favorites!

This book was incredible. Intimidating at 800 pages...and worth every one of them.
I was completely sucked in by the cover. When I saw it was about wolves and Fated mates part of me was a bit put off. Confession - I'm not keen on Fated mates because it almost takes the fun and spontaneity away, for me. And one of my all time favourite books is Bitten and I've never read a werewolf book that even comes close...until now.

I love, adore and treasure this book. I am so glad that I won it and got over my fear of big books and Fated mates. The way they are done in this book is amazing.

Blurb -
They say there’s a fine line between love and hate, but what about the fine line between love and fate?
The Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways. Christian Korbin has always been destined to be the Alpha of the Rosawood Pack, but the question What is he willing to overcome to secure the role?

I loved all the characters. I want to be besties with Emma, Leah and Grace. The amount I chuckled away with them I felt like I was. I could picture everything so well. I gasped in shock several times. Panicked about what else was going to happen and could not put the book down.

I'm beyond excited to read the 2nd book when it comes out. Highly recommend this book. And if you do read it please discuss with me! Other than the poor author who got my running commentary 😅I need someone to discuss this with. y

I also loved the refreshing change of reading Lovers to enemies

grab this if you like:
• Fated mates
• Wolves/shifters/alphas
• Lovers to enemies
• Fun female friendships
• Magic
• Lore
