A riveting story of Dr Billionaire Ted and his best friend’s younger sister Winnie. Ted takes 20 year old Winnie out for her birthday as a favour for her brother who is overseas on duty, the night ended with fireworks! Over the next couple of years Winnie goes through pain, heartbreak, twists and turns before Ted comes back into her life and the storyline continues to be filled with intrigue, lies, heartache, unexpected twists. Well written, believable characters in a quick read that keeps the pages turning I read in one sitting.

She had a crush on him for such a long time and she thought she had got over it. He arrives at her party and it will end in a bang before he just leaves. Now he is back and she is his new nanny, but he needs to marry, so she agrees on several promises. Will she ever tell him she had his twins? How will he react? Will it all end in disaster? See how she gets on
This is a well written book with strong characters in Winnie and Ted. The author takes you into their lives with mystery, twists and steam. She moves the story fluidly with her descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
1) This novella needs editing. Most of the time, the beginning quotes were missing from sentences containing a dialogue although the ending quotes were in place at the end of the sentence.
2) I don’t know if English is the author’s first language or not but there are some glaring language missteps. For example, the saleswoman at a jewelry store was referred to as the “waitress”, “toaster machine” was used instead of “toaster”, “toasted bread” was requested at a restaurant instead of just “toast”, “cheque” was used instead of “check”, “reckon” was sprinkled throughout (just who uses that term in Las Vegas anyway), “matron” was used instead of something like “head administrator”, and I won’t go into the impossibility of what happens at the end of that scene with the matron, etc.
3) The MMC considers that the MFC is his soulmate but then when he thinks about her he thinks that he really likes her instead of being in love with her.
4) Also I really must have missed something in the story since in chapter 12 the MMC and MFC had their wedding reception. Later in the story, the MMC wants to get married for real and he even told his father that he and Winnie weren’t married. That made absolutely no sense since chapter 12 describes them saying their wedding vows and covered their wedding reception.
Needless to say, this novella needs more work to be done on it.
Expect some crazy twists and turns to this emotional story as Winnie and Ted find a way back to each other. Overall, this story was quick and the plot enjoyable. The characters were interesting and have readers wanting to see them get their happy ending.

This tale is Winnie, and Ted’s story, when you face difficult choices that will shape the fate of you both. An enduring love of hope and redemption, that was hard-won through soul-rending sacrifices, deceit, and pain. This short read is original, well-written, and enthralling
Enjoyed reading this book by Elsa Duke. Liked the twists in the story that you weren’t expecting, and Elsa knows how to write her spice in all the right places.
A different storyline to the norm and I was expecting great things but I think this was a mediocre book, not as good as some of this writers other books.
Ted is Winnie’s older brothers best friend. They have one night together when she is 20 and she gets pregnant. You’ll have to read this book to find all the twists and turns that go from there. Enjoy the read.
