This is me screaming… The dedication had me intrigued, and by page 1.. I was hooked, giggling and sending the author voice memos on IG.

This novella is a phenomenal read. I finished it in one sitting and low key.. kind of want more!

The character work in this novella is A++. I don’t feel like I have seen this take on a story before, and I am clapping and screaming.. laughing and outraged ..and hopeful for the characters.. the spice in this book is beautifully done and let me just say I have a whole new outlook on shadows now.

In truth this quick read checks all the boxes and creates new ones

I read this in one sitting. I have several thoughts...

1. I love the content warning page. It is hilarious and very good indeed.

2. Anything paranormal and I'm sold.

3. I want to feed Brock into a woodchipper appendage first. You'll know what I mean.

4. The concept is wild and definitely unique!

Overall I loved this book and it will 100 percent have me staring at my own shadow and making sure it hasn't wandered off in search of happy fun times 😂😂😂

Well what can I say about Shadowed Desires!! It is weird, quirky and sexy!!! Author wrote quickly after an idea came to mind but it was written so well and as if it took a long time.

Evelyn is a beautiful woman and head of the IT department. She’s unfortunately caught the eye of her boss. He’s handsome and tempting but a player who doesn’t know how to take no for an answer.
Eric is a well off businessman who is there to make a deal and catches Evelyn’s eye. But something else has caught her eye too. There’s a shadow figure playing on her every desire.

Absolutely ate this Novella up. Definitely recommend reading this strange Spicey story.

Shadowed Desires concept was unique and fun! It’s a short spicy novella, which I read in one sitting because it kept me turning the page. Didi’s writing style was easy to follow and very enjoyable. I wasn’t drowning in detail or left with too little — a pleasant balance. There was a storyline along with the spicy which is a bonus. If someone is looking for a quick spicy read that will have them looking at the shadows a little more closely, then this is one to pick up.

A fun and quirky novella that was perfect for a quick read. Loved the inner dialogue points. Wish some of the later scenes were a little less glossy. Short and sweet though and can’t wait to see what comes next. So glad I got to read this one, but now I’m left wondering how I find my own Shadow Friend? 😅🤔

This book is not something I would typically read, however I think Didi did a great job of creating a story that was tantalizing and engaging. Her novella was a quick and entertaining read, and the twist...🤯 didn't see that coming!

Fantastically unique and sexy as well as being highly entertaining and of course it goes without saying...very hot!
The MC, Evelyn has two things going on in her life:
She starts a new job and her boss is an absolute dick. He over steps the mark on a regular basis and she's struggling to keep him off but thinks she must becauseshe really needs this job

Meanwhile at home, the shadows in the wall seem to know exactly how to help her blow off steam...first the shadow guy and her own shadow have their own show, but it's not long before she's involved and fan

Back at work, Brock's meetings with Eric a hotshot from another company don't go as planned. Eric overhears Brock all but sexually assaulting mc and intervenes....
He fancies her but he's more interested in getting her away from this disgusting man who seems to have a hold over her

The shadows seem to know when it's time to say goodbye. After their last night of hardcore passion and love the shadow makes it clear that she needs to pursue a relationship with Eric.

So to summarise, this is a clever story, tightly written, with some poignant stuff going on too. There's true romance in there and while Eric is saving his damsel in distress, Evelyn is a strong woman, she's professional, independent and sexually liberated.. This book has an absolutely hilarious Content Warning...it's a quick read and it's sizzling hot. Go, go get it. Preorder it for April 5th.

This silly little book is getting 5 stars for how many times I giggled while reading it, plus my husband's reaction when I told him what it was about. This novella is for fans of weird smut, and I'll never look at my shadow the same way again.

Evelyn’s professional life hangs in the balance when her pervy boss won't take no for an answer. The problem is, she hasn't had any action in a while and she is having to resist the temptation to give in just to get a little...interaction.

Unbeknownst to her, she inadvertently summons a sexy shadow person who turns out to be the perfect lover. The first night, she watches in horror as this shadow awakens her own and gives her shadow a very good time. Each night, things progress and they eventually invite Evelyn to join them.

This book is actually really well written and has a good storyline to go with all the silly shadow smut. If you like these kinds of funny, what-did-I-just-read, short smut books, definitely check this one out, you won't be disappointed.

I found this author through TikTok. My best friend know that I have started to love reading any unhinged books and if they're with monsters even better. What I didn't expect going into this was how weirdly wholesome the shadows ended up being and helped point her in the right direction. The dedication almost took me out and then there were so many little things throughout the book that just made me enjoy the book. I love a good bi-sexual representation where it doesn't feel like it's being so heavily pushed but just put into casual conversation.
I would LOVE me a shadow daddy and to be banged by whatever this shadow figure was. Ok....that may seem a bit much lol. But overall, this was a good little novella about shadows.

This was my first novella and it didn't disappoint!

I know Darling's intention was to write a fun story, which she accomplished with ease. However, this was so much more. Within the first few pages I felt so many emotions - anger at her boss and even the sadness/loneliness Evelyn felt. Later on, without giving any spoilers, I felt really strong emotions during the intimate scenes that were SPICY but emotionally intimate as well.

I loved this novella and I hope that Darling writes more!! Also... I love Eric.

And that cover?! Perfection.

Evelyn is head of IT and her boss Brock who’s slept with half the company always hits on her. Eric is a potential high profile client who meets Evelyn and they have chemistry. Brock threatens her job if she goes out on a date with Eric. With all this tension she goes home and sees shadow people and the things they do. How is she going to get away from her situation? Great characters and good storyline Highly recommended Awesome book. I love Evelyn and her shadow people and Eric. This book is short, spicy, and supernatural. This is my first book by this author definitely not my last

Tee hee! This is such a quick read but full of a story, it you know what I mean. It flows through at a fast pace and the storyline is a little thought provoking for me in a good way, who hasn’t thought about those dark movements in your peripheral before 🤭

o! Yes, I need me an Eric, though I wouldn’t say no to Evelyn either or both 🤪 Loved the epilogue brilliant 😆 I can’t say more, as it’s literally 88 pages long.

This was an amazing short read that left me with wanting more! The MFC was an IT manager at the office she worked for and her boss was extra with her. But when she would get home she had her shadows that helped her get through the next day. Everything change when Eric came in the picture and I need more of what is going to happen with Eric!!

This is a .. I’m just gonna call it an erotic novella cause WHAT THE FUCK LMAOOOO. There are triggers so check em people. Workplace, and smut galore like 3.5/5 on the spice scale. Surprisingly a HEA too.

This one was a friend’s rec and tbh.. it wasn’t half bad! Definitely not something I’ve ever read before, new concept to me, but it was a journey and I’ll be recommending this to my Booksta friends lmaooo.
