The Perfect Crime  - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

A serial killer who strikes at random at his victims' homes, is the antagonist in Blake Pierce's riveting 36th Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller series, The Perfect Crime.

Jessie deals with her jailed former nemesis Mark, while her half-sister Hannah, working with PI mentor Kay puts herself in danger in another way.
Will the truth emerge before death comes closer to Jessie than ever before?

Read the riveting truth in The Perfect Crime, but please... don't have nightmares!

In another gripping Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller, Jessie struggles with her inner demons and a dark urge to hurt someone, even if it means taking a life. Since returning home after a near-fatal concussion caused by Haddonfield—who had made a pact to stop those targeting his relatives and her loved ones—she hasn't been the same. This time, the killer is targeting couples, murdering one partner while forcing the other to watch. As the story unfolds, you discover what drove him over the edge. Once again, Blake Pierce delivers an intense and thrilling read.

I just want the story with Jessie and Ryan to be the focus. A few mentions of adoption but mostly solving crimes again. I wish the author would write more developed books instead of rushing out shorter less developed plots.
Hannah is awesome in all she has learned from Kat, even with the air tags and knowing about Kat’s worries and revenge needs against Ash.
As always, book ends with Jessie or Ryan being attacked. How do you recover from that 36x - 36 books.

I listen to audiobooks daily when I walk and at the gym. I’ve listened to a number of Blake Pierce’s novels and enjoyed them. Although this novel states at the beginning the name of a narrator, the “narrator” seems to have an AI voice. The inflections in words and at the end of sentences are very distracting. I don’t know if I can keep reading it because of this. The voice is so intrusive it takes my focus off the story line.

Jessie is fighting her demons as she feels the urge for violence more frequently. People are being poisoned and their partners are forced to watch them die and the killer is at large. All their leads get nowhere and danger is everywhere. The Perfect Crime is fast-paced, has a good plot, and kept me engaged, however the book needs better proofreading.
I thank the author for this ARC.

The author really needs to proof read books as also mentioned above. This is now becoming a common occurrence in the series and needs to stop. her husband Ryan in this book has also seemed to have swopped personalities with jessie. from wanting kids to being concerned about raising a child. it's like a new pen author has taken over and does not know who the characters are. very off putting.

"She didn't want anyone to see her face. She didn't want anyone to see her smile. "

Yay, BlaKe! Thank you for bringing Jessie, Ryan, Hannah, and Kat back. I have missed them!

This was great! I could not put it down. I will be so sad when this series ends.

Never stop writing! I'm your biggest fan!

woah!
The lengths one will go when they have experienced a great loss and has not sought out support to manage. What a ride! I’m happy to see Jessie & Ryan back like never before!
Listened via audiobook.

This series is running on empty, the plot lines are not as intriguing like in the beginning and Jesse seems to be loosing it, even the editing is getting lax. This is be the last for me!

I’m not liking this new Narrator. Jamel no longer has an accent. It feels….off…
