- Love love love that we get to come back to FengQing. I so needed more of them and I'm grateful this fic exists.
- I'm a sadistic POS and love seeing MQ traumatized. And seeing how kind FX is in return just makes my heart go weeeeeeeeeeeee
- Love me an aggressive caretaker. Best trope. Just full-on threatening the love of your life to get back in bed and get some DAMN rest.
- Ironically, I'm pretty sure XL mentions towards the end of NPAB that seeing FX & MQ so comfortable in their own relationship and evidently displaying signs of having grown decidedly more intimate made him feel like he can/should do more with HC.
- Weird but funny finding out that Fu Yao is a real deputy god and he was lowkey flattered to find out General Nan Yang kissed "him" and was baffled to learn of everything MQ did in his place. But mostly weird. I always figured that MQ just chose a random form.
- Hehehehehe let's go, crazy protective FX ftw!!
- Ok this got sad real quick :( Big leaps in time always make me sad, just watching all the years go by, so much bittersweetness... The whole of Chapter 5 is basically just devoted to children, too. I just wanna see FengQingggg. I'm sad now. Even though it's sweet. Mu Qing is such a good dad :( I'm just really sad and I thought this would be just romance, not family wholesomeness and some coming-of-age type nonsense T_T
- Pei Ming having a million kids just feels right lol. Shi Wudu is being kept BUSY.
Yeah, I loved the first part of this novel-- seeing MQ overcoming his trauma alongside FX and exploring intimacy. But the last chapter was so long and made me sad, and since I skipped most of the epilogue in NPAB, I didn't really understand everything. Still, I admire the author's creation of new characters. It's really well done, and I like the idea. It's just not what I was hoping for with this particular fic (or even just expecting, after the first few chapters).

OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! it's such a dive into the emotions and relationship between MQ and FX!!! It's perfect!!!! 😍😍😍
