It’s hard to rate an entire collection of short stories. Some stories are interesting and fun to read but others are long and boring. He anthropomorphizes nature and inatimate objects very well, but the people he writes about aren’t as interesting. Reading the well known stories, like The Little Mermaid and Thumbalina were the best.

This was good. But a lot of the stories seemed extremely stagnant. This could have been a product of its time, but it made the stories as a whole very awkward.
