Aycrishi Sodality Full Series Omnibus: A Monster Girl Fantasy Adventure

Rate this book
This is the full series “boxed set” for the Aycrishi Sodality series, including all 6 books (Priestess, Warrior, Vagabond, Princess, Rebel, and Paragon), nearly 3000 pages of exciting, enticing, harem portal fantasy action. Below is the description for book 1 in the series.

Sometimes, dungeon cells aren’t so badI was hanging out with some buddies, doing a little caving, when everything went south. When I woke up, I was in some kind of medieval dungeon. Totally naked and in the dark.

Luckily, I had a neighbor in a cell near me. One with a decidedly sexy feminine voice. When she explained to me that she was due to be executed and I was in line to be brainwashed, there was only one thing to do.

We had to escape.

Now, I’ve never been a Houdini type or any kind of super warrior, but once I got a look at my fellow prisoner, I knew I had to help her get free. Now I’m fleeing through a monster infested hellhole called the Dreadlands with the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever met. Oh, and did I mention she has furry ears and a tail? Yeah. H-O-T!

This was just the start. I was hit rapid-fire with a bunch of other surprises. Starting with my magnificent fox girl being a priestess of a sex goddess. Uh-huh. Followed closely by the news that her fellow priestesses were being hunted to extinction. She needed my help.

Maybe, just maybe, I’d give this world a try before figuring out how to get back home.

This is the complete non-LitRPG isekai harem fantasy series about the main character, Adam, falling while spelunking and waking up naked in a dungeon in a different world. The world itself is ruled by a sort of violently feminist sisterhood that enslaved all of the male population decades before, with the only the male survivors being slaves to the sisterhood and unable to think or act on their own.

Given the setting and the genre, it's no surprise that there are a number of intimate scenes, which are pretty well written and feel genuine, albeit rather repetitive. There is a particular focus on how each love interest tastes. There is also a veritable smorgasbord of different monster girl races -- catgirls, fox girls, dragon girls, harpies, orcs, goblins, gnolls, lamia, and more -- as well as humans, elves, dwarves, and gnomes. This series has the broadest range of any I've read so far.

In the beginning there is a bit too much hesitation and repeated seeking of consent that is obviously given, but after the dam breaks about halfway through the first book it does get better in that regard. Towards the end of the series it's almost the opposite, with characters falling into bed when they hardly know each other. There are still sections throughout, though, where the main character feels a bit too much like a "progressive" poster boy, which is sort of ironic given the setting.

Writing quality is very good for self-published KU. I still heard occasional errors, but they're relatively sparse. The author has particular problems early in with certain pronoun use and a tendency to use the reflective pronoun "myself" incorrectly, when it should be "me", which I found distracting and reminiscent of self-important mid-level managers. It seems to improve as the series progresses.

The series does suffer a little from the typical isekai inconsistency where the main character seems to innately know things he shouldn't, such as the best battlefield tactics and how to organise combatants, but for the most part these inconsistencies are not too hard to let go. It also suffers somehat from the ever-growing harem common to the genre, and characters that are supposed to be in the "inner circle" are sadly not as prominent later on, especially around books 4-6. Given that the main character is the only male in the world who can think for himself and lives with hundreds of pleasure priestesses, though, it's not really that surprising.

Audiobook narration is very good, even after 70-odd hours of intensive listening. The male primary narrator can be a little slow in the prose, and he fails the "mischievous" pronunciation test, but those are only very minor complaints. The female secondary narrator only does female character dialogue, and she is excellent. Her narration in the intimate scenes is amazing and some of her accents are hilarious -- particularly the bandit and the dwarf. There are some minor audio production variances in volume and tone between takes, but nothing too distracting.

I enjoyed this a lot. It's not perfect and parts of it can feel a bit too stretched out around the middle, but it's an entertaining story with relatively consistent world building and genuinely nice characters, whom it's difficult to not care about. This omnibus version is excellent value, too.

Great fantasy.

I enjoyed reading this story and really appreciate them all in an omnibus. I just love not having to wait for the next book to come out. The world building and the characters make this series stand out. The heat between characters will excite you and have you wishing for more. Give this series a read, you won't be disappointed.

Great story

I enjoyed the series. There were many many great little details to keep you reading. The only negative thing was the great number of
sexual scenes. After a while they became boring.

Great Fantasy

This is an awesome adult fantasy series that a guy can really get into. It made me wish I was there! But I'm just a dirty old man anyway.
