Aurora is just a lowly maid, she didn’t think she would be the destined mate of a handsome and powerful alpha. Her mate, Alpha Wolfgang thinks the same, Aurora will never be his Luna. He refuses to acknowledge their mate bond and sets out to make her life miserable. Unknown to Aurora, though, the Moon Goddess has a greater destiny in mind for her…
But like, why was I crying so hard? I never read WattPad stories, and I'm going to make an educated guess and say that this story is leaps and bounds above them, BUT it feels like I was reading a WattPad story, and I'm totally fine with that. It destroyed me emotionally, and I don't know if I'll look for another rejected mate's book anytime soon.
I couldn’t stop. I read some reviews, was wary. But dang, this was good. First and foremost, what an alphahole. And tallulah, I wish had more depth. She was so shallow and obnoxious. Typical antagonist trope for our FL.
The wolfsbane, whipping scars, and condom elements felt underwhelming. Like she was not healing, those elders better grovel. Like stripped of title and wealth. And max, what a true friend. I love how everyone gravitated towards Rory. And the jealous outlasting was cute but dang, Cronos, take over already. Wolfie needs to be put in his place.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! It is an emotional rollercoaster ride you never want to end. I laughed and I cried and at times the excitement and angst was so intense I felt jittery and my heart was pounding. Alpha Wolfgang's character is the type of character you Love to hate and hate to love but eventually he does try to redeem himself. Aurora is this shy, meek and mild wolf who gets knocked down at every turn but she never gives up no matter how bad she wants too. You can't help but love her character. Although at times she let herself be a doormat to Alpha Wolfgang. When she finally starts to come into her own she becomes a total bad*ss but she still doubts herself alot. She strong but also vulnerable. I had my suspicions as to what she was, her lineage I mean, but she is so much more. This book ends in a major cliffhanger and I can't find the next book on Galatea. I highly recommend this book to everyone but be warned you may not be able to find the sequel.
An easy read that makes you want to keep reading without having to think too much about worldbuilding. Some things are unresolved, like who poisoned FMC (though it is obvious who, but that person is never punished and just exit the story).
I read this on Galatea, so I was only able to read 3 chapters per day but it did make me look forward to something at least. I haven't found anything else on the app making it worth it to buy the whole book or a yearly subscription (I think if you find 6 books you really are interested in, the subscription would be worth it).
Trigger warning: 🍇 and questionable consent. And by 🍇, I mean 🍇 that lasted for several hours, but thankfully not detailed and only hinted at. Only good thing that did was make that horrible excuse of a MMC feel indescribable pain and give FMC the final push to leave him. But seriously, it was so unnecessary, she didn't have to be 🍇. The story would have worked just fine without it, actually she could have been beat up or something instead, 🍇 was a horrible choice.
As for the FMC, I like that she accepted him not wanting her and just trying to live her life instead of chasing him and try to change his mind. I liked that she wasn't pathetic in that way, like the FMCs usually are in similar books when the MMC doesn't want her.
As for the MMC, I didn't like him at all. He is irredeemable and doesn't deserve her. I hope he has to grovel like no tomorrow in the next book, because if she forgives him easily I will be so disappointed. The same goes for the elders, they all need to grovel so much and then some more.
Aspen and the gamma were nice to her and tried to stand up for her, but in the end it was just words as they didn't have any power to do anything. I understand that the authorative aura of the alpha makes them unable to talk back, but it was sad to see that FMC basically didn't have any allies because of that. The only good person in this book is beta Max.
I hope Max finds his mate ASAP, actually I wish FMC and he got together because he's the only one to stand up for her the whole time, and he told fought for her.
As for stepmother Montana, nothing would have changed if that thing didn't happen to her. FMC could just have been punished from leaving and the same plot would still play out. Montana's incident was unnecessary tragedy.

The first book of the series is all in all, an ok book. It is pretty well written, but some aspects of it reminded me of fanfictions rather than an actual novel.
For starters, there isn't much world building done buy the author. It felt like reading a fanfiction of a specific show or franchise in the way the author kind of assumed the reader would already know everything about the world the story takes place. There is some world-building done, but still a bit too many things about werewolf pack dynamics, werewolves in general, as well as other magical creatures of this world are left for the readers own imagination, or most likely, assumed the reader knows from other works in the same genre.
I would have also liked to get to know the characters of the story a bit deeper, that we did. For most of the book each character seem to only have one or two personality traits or ways of acting in general. The story as a whole was a bit predictable, but the characters were definitely predictable. I did read the whole book, but I did skip some paragraphs and pages, because the story kept going in a circle;
All that being said, I still found some enjoyment from reading the story so much so that I did read the sequel too. If you are familiar with werewolf genre and like enemies-to-lovers kind of stories, then give this one a try. Just fyi, the story does include kidnapping and r*pe elements.
Honestly, I have been wanting to read this book for the longest for I was drawn into the story of Aurora and Wolfgang when I initially read the snippet a while ago. Months later, I have finally read the first part of the story and part of me feels as if a lot is missing. Yes, it does end on a cliffhanger which now forces me (willingly) to read the second part. However, it does not fit the steamy side of things. Yes, it's a quick and tame read but it was really repetitive. Aurora while young was super emotional which is fine in the beginning but it becomes annoying and frustrating as the story continues. In almost every chapter, she cries at least twice due to her asshole mate, Wolfgang. It got to the point that I was waiting for her to pick herself up and just forget about him. Instead she continued to wallow in self-pity and not progress or develop as a character until closer to the end.
Wolfgang was no better. He continuously walked around as if he had a chip on his shoulder. Understandably, yes being the Alpha and caring for others is a tough job but there has to be more to him than just that.
In all, I did like the story and would rate it a 3-3.5 due to lack of character developement and repetiveness. Hopefully the second half has the character development that is needed in order to make the story a 5 star one.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book 1 and 2 | 3⭐️ potential is there Book 3 | 1 ⭐️ so bad who wrote this??
Ngl this had so much potential. Werewolves, witches, fates mates, found family, betrayals and war. The story in book 1 and 2 were interesting enough to finish but don’t expect a fully coherent story 🫠 (read via galatea)
Book 3 becomes severely inconsistent. It’s like two different people wrote and didn’t discuss the details of the previous books. NOTHING makes sense, not the settings, not the characters, just a whole lot of confusion. One second it’s nighttime, dark blue skies with bright stars then legit the next sentence they’re describing the sunset with oranges, purples and pinks. Spoilerish: if the FMC’s mother died at childbirth, she didn’t have TIME TO SPEND WITH HER MOTHER. Now you’re saying somehow the mother was alive and reading her fairytale books at some point in her childhood?? LOL When I tell you nothing makes sense, YEA. Who wrote this and thought it was okay???
