The Omega Accords #4

The Pack's Request

Rate this book
They walked away from me five years ago with one request- stay away

I’ve had five years to change my life, five years to discover who I am, and who I want to be. To grow strong in the agony of their rejection. Still, when I see them, I come alive and no matter how much we promise to stay away, fate’s not done with us yet. When I’m delivered into their arms after I become the target of a crazed serial killer, I am forced to face the truth.

They don’t want me here.
But now, my pack is all that stands between me and the killer who wants me dead.

Five years ago we made a decision and walked away from Hazel Waters. She is the one person none of us wanted to hurt. But now she’s here and we could lose her forever. We can’t let that happen.
We won’t lose her again. As the past and present collide, threatening everything we’ve built and everything we could have; we find there are only two truths that really matter...

We need her more than air and…
We don’t have an omega. We’ve always had two.

This book is a why choose novel, meaning our female main character will end up with three or more partners. There is also MM content. Please read the trigger warnings inside the book

FMC a token character to the male omega storyline

I struggled to finish this book. Soren, ruined the story for me. I don’t mind mm, or male omegas, but had a major issue with the FMC being a token in Soren’s arc. Her character was pretty one dimensional and cringy once she and Soren converged. Also, I’m really not into bratty, immature, fragile male romance characters and that’s what Soren is. Luke, she’s been attacked by a serial killer and somehow needs to pander to his drama? No. Just no.

There was all this angst and drama about the feelings of Soren, through the whole book, but very little acknowledgment of the suffering the fmc endured. The pack groveled, for Soren, but she kinda had to just get over and forgive their betrayal of her. It’s not often I finish a story and think the lead character can find a better partner/pack, but in this case I did.

This is suitable for someone who wants to feel rage while reading. Spoiler, the FMC is the token female convenience for the pack. A subplot to further the MMMM romance. I am surprised that the FMC is not pregnant at the end, you know, to complete the typical ‘this character is here for the pregnancy and heir plot’.

This was super cheesy angsty goodness.

It's roughly the same trope as 'Pack Darling', but in one book instead of a belaboured duet.

Hazel was an 18yr old Omega whose scent matched pack rejected her because they already had an Omega and they didn't think they could have 2 and still be one big happy family.

The Monford pack;
Demon (stupid name) is the hardass in charge who is the most to blame and honestly, I still didn't feel like forgiving him in the end. But the author made a decent effort to make him acceptable.
Angel the cop. Workaholic. Disagreed with Demon the most about rejecting Hazel.
Carson the comicbook shop owner with anxiety issues.
Sunny the laid back teacher who goes with the flow.
Soren the immature (even though 1yr older than Hazel) Omega who spends too much time feeling sorry for himself instead of calling his alphas out on their BS.

We do get to see the rejection on page and then fast forward to 5 years later.
Hazel has kept her promise to stay away... sort of. And they have stayed away... sort of.
The catalyst to bring them together is a serial killer targeting Omegas, who tries to kill Hazel.
But Hazel finds that her dream pack is really a dysfunctional mess because of guilt, pining for her and an inability to communicate with each other.

Was the grovel good? Well, it wasn't so much a grovel as an acknowledgement of idiocy and promises to never be cowardly dumbasses ever again. I guess you could say there were layers to the grovel, because there were mitigating circumstances to their betrayal. Ultimately though, they gave up on her without even trying to see if their mating could work. Was it stupidity, laziness or cowardliness? A bit of all 3 I think and just plain bad timing.

So I enjoyed this more than 'Pack Darling' but it has it's problems too.
There's some strange transitions like what happened to her 'busted' hand and ankle? Is there super healing in this world building?
And there's that part where she's sleeping unclothed and then talking to police etc. Is she still naked?
The author put more thought into their feelings, which I appreciated.

The serial killer was an ok mystery and of course there's a climactic scene with an evil monologue. But the reveal of the killer did kinda make the pack look stupid.
I confess that I skimmed that part and a lot of the sexy times.

Safety is good.

awful

I get that the author doesn’t want them to grovel but everything about this pack is awful and makes no sense. Couldn’t get through it.

Okay, but. . .

Two main issues: The author throws too many characters in without explaining who they are, and what their interconnection to THIS story is supposed to be; and there are too many pronouns being used in a single sentence or paragraph and we've lost track of who the "they" and "them," and "she" and "him" are. USE PROPER NOUNS instead of pronouns especially when you're saying something like, "she talked to her and he's missing them." Yeah there was literally several paragraphs like that, and the overuse of pronouns was only complicated by the fact that I didn't know who any of the "him" and "her" of Raptore Security or the other packs were, and since I didn't have a decent understanding of who the secondary characters were it was too easy to lose track of who was missing and how and who fit with whom.

The biggest and most frustrating issue with this book, which will probably keep me from reading anything else from this author is the complete lack of secondary character development. I get that the other characters are probably part of another series or another book, but a line or two explaining who they are and their relationship with the female or male leads is critical since readers may not have read other books in which these characters' backstories are explained-- a single line or even two that it's a security firm whose owner is the alpha of pack so-and-so, or that they are friends with her brother, or how they met and why they interact, or whatever the relationship is, would not be amiss. Basically STOP TALKING LIKE WE KNOW WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE, tell us who the "they" is, and add in details about how they fit in THIS story without talking about them as if their part in this book is self-explanatory because it is not. It drove me nuts that repeatedly "THEY" (the other packs and omegas) haven't been introduced yet or explained, the other characters were just thrown in like we actually were supposed to know who they are, WHEN WE DON'T. If the author can't figure out how to provide concise introductions of secondary characters, then one of the editors needs to be someone who hasn't read the other books and can point out when characters readers don't know have been thrown in without proper development or explanation. I didn't know how Seb, Sven, Darion, Lukas, Scarlett, Missy, fit in, how the security firm fit into her life, or why they were employed, or that they were anything to her or her brother and I STILL DON'T even after finishing the book. With the exception of Sunny's sister, Kandy/Candace I'm still lost as to why Raptore Security has anything to do with her. There is one line about somebody named Scarlett being her best friend, but I don't know how the Hazel met Scarlett, who Scarlett is, what pack she's a part of, who the father of her baby is (or was that Missy who had the baby) I don't know how any of these people fit into the story since they just appear in the narrative like loose threads hanging into the ether.

So, besides character development and improper use of proper nouns in favor of overuse of pronouns aside this plot seems like she made it up as she went along and had no idea where it was going (no overall outline) and just winged it as she wrote, and then had to try and explain or throw in excuses for why plot devices were dropped in out of nowhere and not developed from the beginning, or given a better lead in.

Lastly I also had issue with the use of derogatory terms for the female lead that are supposed to be spicy but are actually just degrading and don't fit. Words like "wh0re," "sl*t," "c*nt," and "sn@tch" have been used for decades as derogatory terms to humiliate, shame, and to degrade women and their use in the storyline's romantic/sexually explicit context didn't make the scene more erotic but instead made those scenes feel crass, cheap and degrading to Hazel ESPECIALLY AFTER THEIR INITIAL REJECTION OF HER it made it seem as if they were just using her for sex and had little to no respect for her. Calling her greedy or needy or a thousand other words would have been less offensive, and quite frankly if a lover had referred to me using any of these terms, I'd rip his balls off and feed them to him.

What I liked about the book was the mystery even if major turning points seemed sudden and undeveloped. I didn't initially like how the female lead Hazel fell all over the men who rejected her and treated her like trash and how easily she forgave them. The book was entertaining enough, the concept was enjoyable, just parts of the execution need improvement. Given the character development issues and how easily this female lead panted after the people who treated her like garbage, I might stumble on to another one of this author's books in the future and I may try it, but it's not something I'm going to look for.

Ya’ll I cannot take myself seriously. I gobble these books right up and I don’t care!! Are you going to get mind blowing writing? No. Will it make sense? No. Will you have fun suspending reality? YES!

Because why are two of the male leads named Angel and Demon?!? Lmaooooo and I was just like “yep, ok” .

But I honestly love this series because it makes no sense but it cures my itch for slutty romance. I support ALL women and their 5-6 boyfriends!

Go forth friends and enjoy!

I don’t know why everyone spent so much time being mad at Angel when he was right the whole time.

Also: Angel is the worst police detective of all time. Every time they figured something out, Angel would say some things and then one of his pack mates would be like “What if those two obviously connected facts are not a coincidence?” And Angel would be like “How did I not think of that? You’re a genius.” He should change professions, but Hazel is also an idiot so they can be happy dummies together.

I did not like prologue Hazel. I forgot about the two omega in a pack thing. I liked the whole time gap where Hazel mellowed out, becoming an artist and doing what she could for the omega refuge. It was funny how it was Soren and Hazel getting together that sorted the pack out. Up until they have sex and get an intervention, I wouldn't have minded the two of them abandoning the pack and going off on their own. The rest of the pack were a mess, unable to leave Hazel alone.

Hazel was the most outspoken character, knew what she wanted and went for it. I didn't like when she initiated the third act break up so she could save them from the killer. That was stupid. But I did like that Soren wasn't fooled. Kandi and Sunny were fun. Demon and Angel were annoying until they got their heads out of their butts. I did like that Hazel got called out for what she would've been if not for the time gap.

Suspenseful and emotional in the best ways!
This story was so difficult to put down. I love a good crime aspect, and this one kept me in the edge of my seat. The suspense of that, the suspense of the relationship drama, and then the steam of the romance, oh, it's such a whirlwind of a story. Absolutely loved it!

I think this one is better in terms of writing and of course the 2 omegas in 1 pack is turning into my favourite plot. Again, not enough grovelling but I still enjoyed it *\^~^/*

Engaging erotica-romance with a dash of crime mystery thrown in. As advertised a rejected mate trope with a HEA ending.

I jumped into this series at book 4. If your considering doing the same be warned the books are designed to be read in order and the author does not spend much time introducing the secondary characters (who are main characters from previous.) The books and world is very inter woven and you may get lost. I found I had to make a cheatsheet of names at one point.

This book was incredibly frustrating to read. This story is about Hazel, an omega, who gets rejected by her scent matches upon their first meeting because they already have a scent matched omega. The story takes place five years after the official meeting, when Hazel becomes the next target of a notorious serial killer.

First, the serial killer plot, which is the main reason I picked this up, was an afterthought. The main focus was the female omega trying to fix the relationship between the male omega and the alphas. She gets attacked by a serial killer and the next day jumps into doing damage control for them even after they continuously reject her for five years. All that action on her part is completely worthless because the alphas of the pack barely grovel to the male omega and to her for grossly mistreating them before they’re all jumping into bed together. Like, what happened to fleshing these characters out? Demon, one of the alphas, even tells the two omegas off for sleeping with each other while the pack relationships are very unstable.

And Hazel has her first heat with her pack halfway through the book, which is a big milestone because she mentions that her previous heats have been traumatic because she still wanted the pack that rejected her. After the heat she has doubts that the pack has truly changed and worries that they’re still using her.

As Hazel is contemplating this she has another horrific run in with this serial killer wherein he kills someone to taunt her and her art studio is trashed. While she’s getting rightfully angry at all this, the rest of the pack are literally coaxing each other into sex.

It’s so frustrating that the author is verbalizing the need for deeper connection and meaningful character development, but refusing to withhold the smut in favor of it.

And then just as we’re 3/4ths through with the book, the author decides to drop the bomb that the head alpha, Demon, who was the main driving force behind rejecting Hazel, her biggest hater, the person who decided that Soren was the packs first and only omega, confesses that he actually met Hazel first. He met her before the rest of the pack met Soren and knew that she was their scent match, but hid that from everybody else. He justifies this by stating that Soren needed the pack more, that Hazel had a family and money and she would have been okay without them. And then the rest of pack just agrees with him, they accept that being separated for years was for the greater good, and that it made Hazel a better person, that the taboo of not being able to have each other is what allowed Hazel and Soren to fall in love. I cannot explain how pissed off this made me. I literally do not have the words for the level of seething and fury I felt reading this. The audacity of these men to just decide this for Hazel, for them to change the trajectory of her entire life and not even have the decency to feel ashamed or sympathetic to her for being upset at this revelation. They’re literally like “Well she loves us now, the past is in the past, what’s she mad about.” Insane behavior. Fucking bonkers. AND SHE STILL FORGIVES THEM. SHE ACCEPTS THE EXPLANATION TOO WITH NO GROVEL. PLEASE HAZEL STAND UP FOR YOURSELF.

After all that mentioning the issue I have with the secondary characters seems minimal, but let’s talk about it anyways. There are a lot of secondary characters in this who have had their own books previously, but they’re just dropped into this book with no explanation of who they are or what their relationships with the main characters are

This one was not for me. The writing style was so disjointed and confusing. It’s like the author assumed we should know certain things about past events or that we should make certain connections. I don’t like info dumps or unnecessary inner monologue, but I’ve gotta have something to go on….. the characters were not likable either. Even the FMC’s mindset at the beginning was like “I know I’m a spoiled, rich bitch, but what’re ya gonna do? I also think my staff are beneath me.” And then she gets rejected and suddenly it’s “I’ve been IN THE TRENCHES and now I’m amazing (still).” The men were either douche canoes who did not grovel properly or I forgot they were even in the pack or part of the story. And for some reason, the fact that Angel was the dumbest fucking detective of all time annoyed me more than almost everything else. When he was talking to his pack member, the guy goes “hmmm maybe you should ask some experts to find out where the soil under their fingernails came from?” Detective genius over here is like 💡💡💡😃 “what a great idea! I should definitely follow up on critical evidence left on the victims bodies.” Maybe I listen to too much true crime, but it’s no wonder he was a hateful, emotionally obtuse bastard when he sucked that hard at his job.

Hazel (18) is a sad little rich girl socialite who is neglected by her wealthy parents but loved by her brother, Gray. When she turns 18, she goes to her first omega ball, hoping to find her pack. The ball is held in a hotel owned by her brother's pack.

At one point, she leaves the ballroom and walks into an atrium, thinking she's alone. But some Alphas are in the atrium, her scent matched pack, Pack Montford. The first Alpha she sees is Demon. When she smells him and tries to approach him, he gets right to the point, telling her to leave, they don't want her. They finally tell her that one of the guys (Soren) is their scent match whom they've already bonded. It shouldn't be possible to have two scent matched omegas, but Pack Montford doesn't waste any time trying to figure it out. They just tell her to leave them alone from now on, and this is their only request. Because they don't want to give up Soren. (They are Sunny, Carson, Angel, Demon, and the omega Soren.)

The story skips forward 5 years. Hazel has matured from a spoiled socialite full of fairytale dreams to an adult who runs an omega refuge. She also turned her hobby painting into being a professional (anonymous) artist.

Gray expects her to find another pack some day. But she can't. She has tried going on dates, but other alphas make her nauseous, so she's never expecting to find love.

She also stalks their social media and has fallen in love with all of them, including the omega Soren. And guess what? He's enchanted by her too. That makes things easy, doesn't it? But nobody talks about a poly-omega situation, so they just sit around being miserable all the time.

There's a serial killer killing omegas. And he shows up at her art gallery after hours. She calls a guy she knows who works for a security company (instead of calling 911). The guy sends Angel to save her, because Angel is the detective working on the serial killer case. She manages to escape the killer, but he gets away and isn't caught. She tells Angel she thinks the killer's voice was familiar, but she can't think of who it is.

Since she got the crap beat out of her by the serial killer, Angel takes her to his pack house. Demon is his usual asshole self and tries to get Angel to take her somewhere else. It leads to a bunch of arguments. The pack has gradually gone to shit since they rejected her 5 years ago. She gets disgusted by their behavior towards each other and leaves, and Soren agrees to go with her because he can't take it anymore.

So Hazel and Soren are in a hotel room together, waiting for Gray to get back from a business trip, since the hotel has security. Forced proximity!

So, honestly, stories where the pack already has an omega aren't really my favorite. DNF. But you might like it, if you're into that kind of thing.

An Emotional Pack Redemption

This story left my heart in tatters and my attention completely trapped within its pages. I am really loving this author more and more with each book.

I fell in love with Hazel so quickly, and I felt every ounce of her pain. I can’t even imagine the devastation of being excited to meet your forever pack, the people literally made for you, only to have them reject the bond immediately without even getting to know you. My heart shattered into a thousand pieces for her. Despite everything, Hazel is incredibly strong and grows into someone anyone would be proud of.

Pack Monford made a catastrophic choice: deny the omega they already loved or reject the omega they had just met. For some, the decision came easily. For others, it ate away at them for years.

The pack of men who broke Hazel’s heart is complex and deeply flawed. Demon, the pack lead, carries immense responsibility on his shoulders, giving him a cold personality and making him ruthless toward Hazel. Angel is an alpha ruled by emotion; a police detective who struggles to control his overwhelming feelings and often makes rash decisions. Sunny is the calm within the storm, a peaceful teacher and the kind of alpha who leads with his heart instead of pure instinct. Carson is the pack’s rock, rational, steady, and emotionally controlled. And last, but absolutely not least, is Soren, the male omega. Soren was honestly my favorite. He is kind, generous, deeply devoted to his pack, and put through so much emotional whiplash regarding Hazel that it was heartbreaking to witness.

I loved how, when it truly mattered, the pack came together to help Hazel escape a serial killer. I think Hazel was exactly what the pack needed to fix the bonds that had been fractured for a very long time.

Hazel’s journey is painful, powerful, and unforgettable, and by the final page it’s impossible to deny that some bonds are worth breaking before they can be reforged stronger than ever. Hazel didn’t just find her place; she became the missing piece a broken pack didn’t even realize it needed.

I was really expecting this book to be a groveling book based on what little we've learned about Hazel's past in previous book. So I was really surprised when Tea Ravine said it wasn't and also extremely worried that I wouldn't be able to forgive this pack, but still so excited to finally learn Hazel's story.

And Tea Ravine did not disappoint! This book is darker than the others in this omegaverse, but I really enjoyed the murder mystery aspect. It was a different take on the common omega in danger trope.

This pack. Man. I was surprised how dumb this group of smart men could be. They were sad in a way I was expecting. Soren, the male omega, is perfect and I love him. He deserves only the best. The alphas are always alpha-ing but I really liked all of them. Carson is so sad and fragile yet understanding and sweet. Angel is so angry but he feels with his whole heart. Sunny, sweet sweet Sunny. I'm always a sucker for sensitive, academic men. Then there's Demon who honestly I wasn't sure I could get on board with, but that man is beyond loyal to those he loves. And of course Hazel, an omega after my own heart. She is fiece and strong and understanding. I already loved her from Missy, Scarlet, and Onyx's books but to finally get more Hazel was amazing. Plus we get cameos from all the other amazing ladies!

TLDR: Hazel is amazing. Her men are seriously good men. The story is engaging and hard to put down. You don't have to read the other books in the Omega Accords but you definitely should! If you like complicated omegaverse relationships, scent matches, multiple omegas give this one a try!

Reading this book was like swimming in a sea of pain and grief. I'm not a swimmer, so the struggle was courageous. Even though the story wasn't too dark, the intensity of everything happening on page was palpable. It delves into some really heavy topics - rejection, unhealthy obsession, jealousy, stalking, selfishness. They are refracted through the author's point of view in a way that provokes the reader's thinking and all of their senses, leaving behind even more unanswered questions : "What does it mean ''I love you but I can't share''? Would Hazel have helped all the other people at risk if she hadn't been rejected? Is her change genuine, or is it just a crutch to help her cope with her own hopeless situation? What would have happened if Soren and Hazel's positions were reversed? The plot is very well built and intriguing- two Omegas, who needed time for personal growth, one broken dysfunctional pack, ravaged by regret, fears, doubts and trust issues. And the cherry of the cake - a serial killer that threatens to tear in shreds the little what's left. For the first time I can say I liked a book with so many unlikeable characters - controversial, yes, but unforgetable. I cherish the fact that the author dared to build a story, using the uglier side of pack life, because sometimes all the money and influence in the world can't buy love, happiness and a Pack to call your own.

Dnf, I couldn't finish it. Too many inconsistencies in the story, and story felt forced.

Hazel is an omega and she meets her scent matched pack. The issue is that they are already bonded to another male omega Soren, so they reject her. Fast forward 5 years later, Hazel is a target of a serial killer and needs extra protection.this is where the pack comes in and the story falls for me. The story is really about Soren and his feelings. Hazel's storey takes a back seat and much of her inner voice is guilt over how Soren is being treated. What I found weird is that Soren is an Omega but with Hazel he acts tougher and more "manly" - in other words the pack dynamics were off and completely interchangeable which was weird bc he is an omega!! Hazel turns into this psychiatrist that tells everyone how treat Soren and somehow her story/pain/alpha intercations take a backseat.

Lastly, I didn't think that Soren was the right omega for the pack - Demon was the only one that was protective of him and the others could care less. An omega ia a heart of the pack and they are supposed to balance the alphas, and this was definitely not the case. Soren being a scent match, made the bond very cruel actually because without the bond all the others would have left.

I would not classify this as HEA or why choose romance. We all know that the female omega is only there to be a breeder...

🔥 OmegaVerse
🔥 Female Omega
🔥 Male Omega and 4 Male Alpha’s
🔥 Murder Mystery

The Omega Accord’s is a series of currently 4 books that are all interconnected but each book follows a different pack. I devoured the whole set of 4 books in under a week. The series as a whole is so good!!

The Pack’s Request is the whole reason I started this series. I found this specific book on BookTok and wanted to see if it was worth it. When I realized it had 3 before it, I figured I’d read book one and see if I should read the rest based on that one. Wow. I loved every single book. I just couldn’t get enough. I loved how each book connected with the women from the others and they all became a family.

This book was so worth the read!

My Personal Ratings:

5 Stars: Loved it! Couldn’t put it down or obsessed about it while needing to get to the end of it. Had to share some bits with my hubby!! Usually read in less than 2 days cause a girl has got to sleep sometime. Will be reading everything this author has to offer and most likely reread the series as next books in the series are released.

4 Stars: Really Good. Whether the story drew me in or a specific character, will definitely continue the series and look into more books by this author.

3 Stars: Enjoyed something about the book, whether it be the storyline or a character but also may have not liked something. Sometimes the book is great but needs some TLC from an editor. May or may not continue the series.

Ok, where do I start...?!? Lemme see... 🤔
I found the female Omega (h) kinda pushy. The Hs clearly rejected the h and told her/ requested her to stay away from them and their favoured male Omega.
Over 5yrs, after rejecting the h, the Hs watched the h dating other alphas (not possessive at all 😐) and the h literally following them like a kicked puppy and did nothing till a stalker came into the picture 🙄. And all of a sudden the super rich, so-called independent h (who runs a charity for helpless Omegas) wants their security and they give it to her since they worry for her safety (oh! puhlease🙄). The Hs never wanted the h; they chose the other omega and they were firm about it. Add to the fact that one of the H actually knew the h was their scent match first even before they met the other Omega😐. So, in reality she got rejected twice😒.
I don't like it when heroines barge in where they're not needed. I felt the h quiet irritating and annoying.

I feel like this would have been perfect if the main character was Soren instead of Hazel. Instead, we're given an FMC in a reverse harem that feels more like a side character to the male omega. And I didn't necessarily dislike either of the omegas, they just didn't feel like they fit the roles of the story very well.

I did not care for the alphas in this book. Demon, Angel, Carson, and Sunny messed up bad. They screwed over Hazel by rejecting her (and I get that she needed to grow up and the rejection pushed her towards that) but they still rejected her and hurt her and still sniffed around her for five years. So why the fuck, when Hazel is threatened by a serial killer and brought to the house, is Soren the one that is wronged out of everything? The alphas were hurtful to Soren and grovel and beg his forgiveness, but Hazel is just expected to assimilate and forgive?

I don't know. I wanted to like it. The writing wasn't terrible. The pacing with the suspense plot was really good. I just thought that the relationship mending was lackluster at best. Also, the author was horrible about introducing side characters, of which there are a plethora, and then not explaining who the fuck these characters are to the mains. Like, we're just expected to know what their story is and understand the dynamics added there. It was so irritating.

Woof

Nobody is more disappointed in this rating than me. Besides some of the typical line level issues for this series (characters appearing on page out of nowhere, incorrect names, typos etc) the plot issues of this book were too hard to ignore for me and I ended up skimming the last 20%

It felt like the story began with a different ending in mind but a stroke of inspiration changed things at the last minute. The ending could have been really great if there had been any lead up (or at least any that made sense)

Other cardinal sins: Angel is actually a terrible detective and the entire structure of the department was so unrealistic it was laughable… you’re telling me the captain of this force is totally cool with untrained civilians shooting to kill a kidnapper who was only identified 20 mins ago?

Mid rescue mission, when his mates lives are literally on the line, Demon has a chat with another alpha about how to best court Hazel? I mean- maybe save her first yeah?

Things I did like: the experimentation with names in this book. Angel/Demon/solstice- it almost worked and I like it. Also the smut is as incredible as every other book in the series. 5/5 there.

This book was a really hard one to read. I couldn’t finish it.

The author randomly introduces characters. I was so lost trying to understand everyone’s relationship to each other. It makes absolutely no sense.

The authors writing style feels incomplete. They describe scenes and situations that just don’t make since. They lack descriptive language so the book is challenging to get through.

I could be wrong but I read this because it was meant be a good grovel/rejected mates book. Typically, the character who’s rejected receives the grovel. Just makes since. But in this book the female omega is rejected but the male omega receives the grovel. It doesn’t make since because the male omega isn’t going through anything. Yes, he’s emotional and spoiled but what does he need grovel for. He was accepted by the pack. Whereas the female omega is rejected and she never receives the grovel. She spends her time coddling the weak male omega. There were even times I was reading I thought she was maybe a secret female alpha.

Very out of place dynamics going on.

I’ll never wait to read a Tea Ravine book again

For some reason, in the OV genre, I have managed to read all but just two of these from this series. My only assumption is because I was saving these for the right moment. And because of that, I’ll never wait again to read her books. Omgoodness was I in for an end of year treat.

In an attempt to make more of my reading goal, I thought I’d be safe to start this toward bedtime. WRONG. It’s 2:15am and I’m writing the review after binging reading it in less than four hours.

This story has me GRIPPING my ereader. The ANGST and turmoil our FMC went through. She’s Hazel F’ing Waters. She’s a baddie in all the important ways that count and still she didn’t let anything stop her from being a good human being to others.

This had a plot twist I didn’t expect. I’ve been reading OV exclusively for three years now. I did NOT and have not read this kind of twist before. That’s only one of many things I love about this author. There is ALWAYS going to be a plot line that keeps you on your toes.

Hazel meets her scent matched pack but they already had an omega. They reject her and she agrees not to seek them out. Over the next 5 years she watches from afar and a couple of them reach out to her as well and she lives for those moments. Meanwhile she puts all her efforts into helping other omegas while she suffers inside. The pack is also fractured but they don't want to admit they need her.

Once again, Tea has created a gripping story! I love that she brings in characters from the previous 3 books. It's not a fluffy story but full of tears, some laughter and had me glued to the pages ALL. DAY. LONG. Yes, there's some amazing spice but there's also suspense (a killer on the loose!!), heartbreak, groveling, devotion and everything in between.

Unfortunately, I won't be moving on to book 5 as I'm not a fan of FF but I will be looking forward to any other books Tea has out!!

I’m really enjoying myself!

This book was everything and MORE! I love that their lead Alpha is called demon lmaooo! Also the plot of this packs story had such a deep meaning! 5 years can make such a difference in peoples lives. People can grow and be better for themselves. Although i honestly didn’t like how they went about it at first but i understood! For them all to be happy Hazel had to do some growing! Soren needed time to recover and heal and that’s what his pack gave him. Everyone suffered for their decisions 5 years ago and we see that throughout the book! The character development was CHEFS KISS! Angel was really a pained jerk but he got himself together QUICKLY! Carson my sweet baby Carson! I hated that he was in so much pain! Sunny! I love how loving he is! It was a full circle moment and I’m glad i got to read this! It was great!
