everything happened so fast??? there was such a mix of events happening all at once. this author has to learn how to actually write a story oh my god also what the FUCK was up with those pictures at the beginning of the volume. disgustoso.
I read the other reviews of this book just to make sure I'm not going crazy on this one and you all seem to have liked it. Maybe my Ruwanda image was too fixed that made me decide that the whole mother-son relationship was rubbish and also made no sense as the mother was changing her mind about her son just 'cause she felt how it is to lose him. I don't know but I thought nothing gets Ruwanda soft and just like Ivan said, he is now like a mama's boy. Way too soft for how he usually was the previous volumes and except the plot twist that Midwinter was Ruwanda's father, I felt only disappointed on this volume. Even then Midwinter was killed off too fast and the mother therefore just felt like an OP character without having any weakness except getting paralised every once in a while. I really would have liked to see a bit more fight between the two of them.
Whole volume felt rushed and the dark themes changed to rather soft ones, which is rather disappointing. I hope the last volume will be better.

everything suddenly turned ambiguous ☹️, but the art is what keeping me read it anyway.
no bc the mothers feeling was WAY MORE ambiguous including Rwanda. why would u still need to find your son after you've abandoned him and not raising him well? I DON'T GET IT bc that like kinda contradicts or did being soft get to her ?? skxbskxjsk but still it was good and tragical at the same time.
also for Rwanda, I have no idea why your finding your mother while she didn't even raised you well? or did he not know yhat? most likely for that reasoning is bc his mother said that they're both SIMILIAR. in meaning, they both feel a deep bond as mother and son. and the only person that was on Rwanda's life was only his mother that gave up on him 😥😥 still again it was nice and a mix of rollercoaster and tragedy!
I don't get wgats happening but I'll STILL read it anyway 🥰🥰🥰
some parts were confusing so if will be overall 3/5.

I do enjoy this one , thought I am not sure why, it doesn't have the best art, nor the best consistent plot, yet I find myself intrigues, I always like this Victorian era based stories. in this volume though it felt rushed, like it just ended, every potential for the bad guy is simply gone, but I have to admit that last stunt was good. I think next one is the last volume, it is short and sweet, I would LOVE to see a an art by Yana Tobaso for the Ruwanda though..
This volume was simply incredible. There were so many twists and turns, so many questions answered that I don't know what will be left for the last volume. I can't wait to read it. Thank you to the team for their hard work.
THE WAY I KNEW MIDWINTER WAS RUWANDA'S FATHER FROM THE START UGH. AND THE MOM WASN'T AS BAD AS I THOUGHT??? I WANTED TO SEE MORE OF THEM, SUCH A SHORT REUNION!! I'M SAD BUT AT LEAST HE GOT TO HEAR FROM HER THAT SHE LOVED HIM FROM THE START BEFORE DYING 😭💔
