Defector: Part 2: Renegade

Rate this book
The year is 3284, six standard years since the Swarm broke through from their own reality and invaded the Sovereign Stars.

Their purpose?

To eradicate all human life from the galaxy. To them, the very concept of independent thought is an anathema.

Now, with the conflict raging on, neither side holds a decisive advantage. The Swarm's presence is entrenched, their outposts firmly secured across the sovereign systems.

Technological advancements by the United Sovereign Fleets are met with equal measures of innovation by the alien invaders, escalating the conflict into a deadly race for supremacy on all fronts.

Amidst the chaos of total war, political upheaval grips the Sovereign systems, breeding dissent and treachery at every turn. Prince Elio, once a figure of hope, languishes in prison, a captive of the state. Commodore Morian, captain of the Avenger, leading a small expeditionary force, is branded a renegade, hunted across the stars. Prince Tarak of the Odin system teeters on the brink of committing unspeakable acts in his relentless pursuit of power and the eradication of the extraterrestrial threat.

In a stunning turn of events, Scientist Eugma Zettel and Marshal Secerna Hyde defect, joining forces with a clandestine entity known only as, The One.

And so the saga continues. Pre-order your copy of The Sovereign Defector Part 2: Renegade, and be among the first to experience the epic tale of bravery and sacrifice.

After saving his world from extinction, Prince Elio is captured and imprisoned, Richard Morian and his fleet are on the run, the blues who rejected the One King are in danger, and the blues still want to wipe out humanity. Prince Elio'ssurvival rests on some important decisions he must make. Will Richard Morgan's fleet escape the blues traps and new weapons? Will they be caught by the new regime? Will the traitors in their midst succeed? What will happen to the Imperator? This is a well-fleshed-read. I hated to put it down when I had to do other things. This is a roller coaster of a ride. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Hope there is book 7!

The battle to save humanity continues. While the Council at Orso moves forward with their plans to usurp the throne and replace the rightful King with someone they can control and manipulate to satisfy their own greed, the principal characters we have come to know work to defeat the forces attempting to remove all humans from existence. Defector Part 2: Renegade provides the reader with an exciting and entertaining tale that I found hard to put down and left me looking forward to what comes next.

This sixth book in the series is a well-written continuation of the battles with the Storm, as well as an internal power struggle for the Sovereign States. The King has been assassinated; Prince Elio, the rightful successor, is imprisoned; Captain Morian and his expeditionary force are declared traitors, on the run. At every turn, it seems as if our friends take one step forward, one step backward; have they met their match? The action is non-stop, keeping me engrossed and enjoying every moment. I am eager to read the next book.

The battle with the Blues continues in Renegade. More surprises are thrown at our defenders as they continue
trying to get an edge on the invaders and save their system.

This series continues to enthrall me. Each book has been better than the last. I do not know how the author keeps topping himself but it has sure been some incredible storytelling. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

I received an ARC of this book. My opinion is voluntarily given.

Another very good addition to this series of books, story line and characters developing with the story which in itself is getting more involved with plots and counter plots forming all the time and the ever present enemy the swarm cropping up on a regular basis. Looking forward to the next chapter, and can highly recommend this episode.

The Blues keep adapting and humans keep playing politics against each other. I enjoy a good sci-fi story with lots of exciting battles and mystery spies. This book fits the bill superbly. Howard makes you feel for the characters and despise the villeins. I hated to put the book down till i was done and am looking forward to the next book. Exellent read!

Another enthralling read in the Sovereign Stars series. The war against the blues goes on but there are hidden enemies as well, apart from the blues. It's an ongoing war with deceit, betrayal and casualties. It's a battle for power and supremacy. Above all it's a battle for survival. A book which was riveting from start to finish.

As always Blair Howard brings us new story lines with lots of action and adventure. Keeping up with the new characters and keeping track of the old is challenging but worth it. This is a very interesting series and I’ve found it helps to reread to get everyone straightened out in my head. Good action and grabs your attention from the very beginning and all through the excitement to the end.

This series is getting better with every book. When you consider i didn’t like sci-fi at the beginning, I’ve grown to love these. I devoured every word right through to the end. What on earth is going to happen next, I wonder. Highly recommended.

Defector: Part 2: Renegade (Sovereign Stars Book 6), my sixty-first read from author Blair Howard, one of my favorite authors. Very different than his detective fiction but every bit as enjoyable. I'm not a big science fiction fan but I am a Blair Howard fan and he's writing science-fiction as well as he does detective fiction. Well-written, enjoyable, and thoroughly entertaining! I always look forward to the next work from Howard; a Blair Howard book is like a visit from an old friend. Compares favorably with Daniel Gibbs Echoes of War series. I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
