As always, lovely and inspiring pictures of eccentric people looking absolutely relaxed and natural in whatever they choose to wear. Ari Seth Cohen has an abundance of muses of a "certain age" and knows how to present them from their very best angles. The pets all look great as well, I guess it is unavoidable with such stylish owners!

The four stars given are all for for the pictures. Sadly, I found the text weak, less inspiring than ususal, and in need of edition. Earlier books have had better balance between text and pictures.

This said I recommend this title highly, you can enjoy the great pictures! I'm placing it in my Ari Seth Cohen collection, hoping for more titles to come.

These are over the top photographs of well to do senior citizens and their companion with an occasional brief commentary describing the animal and/or the relationship between human and beast. Most of the photos are of women, but a few men are also featured. There are lots of dogs, a few kitties and some other companions, ie, birds, a pig, a cow and a donkey. The grab is eccentric and designed to attract the viewer’s attention.

What’s missing is photos of seniors who don’t fall within the upper classes. Their tales and relationships with animals are as important as those of the eccentric wealthy seniors depicted here with their companions, and should be told. In fact, it might be helpful to tell them since so many facilities for seniors bar companion animals. Such stories might provide the incentive for facilities to change their policies concerning the residence of humans and their companion animals.
