Flowers and Jessup are sent to investigate two Department of Fish and Wildlife resource officers' disappearance. They discover something very deadly capable of moving on land and in the water. The town doesn't want any secrets reviled. Can the duo survive this mutant outbreak? Action-packed thriller.
The author tried to include all the previous books into this book. All it did was make this book convoluted and hard to read. If people reading this book wants to know what happens in the previous books then they need to read the previous books.
I was dragging my heels on finishing this book because I thought it was the last one in the series... But lo and behold, book number 8 was just released! This book picks up after the destruction on La Curacion and begins the tales of overcoming the mutants spread across all 50 states by Dr Frankenstein Randolph. The potential of stories about over coming All of those monsters is exciting! But come on...isnt it time for a little romance between Jessup and Flowers? And where is Sanchez? We know she isn't dead. I have a feeling she a working on a map ranch in Bolivia... The master plot thickens and the subplots continue to twist! Keep writing and I will keep reading. Oh one more note... I love the little political jabs to the real world. Couldn't agree more!
When we examine the covers of Russ Tilton's books, the first thing we notice is teeth. Lots and lots of teeth. All shapes and sizes. The trouble is that the beasts owning these teeth have, as their favorite meal, people. My favorites are Italian - chicken parm, lasagna, meatballs, sausage, etc. These beasts love to eat people - regardless of what the people like to eat. WARNING: The reader never knows who is next until it is too late. This is the latest mutant the GENIT team has to go after. This is the ninth story so far. Seven novels and two novelettes. Thanks, Russ!! I don't go out after dark anymore!!!!
I don't know how you'd do it but each book is very different from the rest yet the basic subject is the same. Although you think that might be boring But the use of the same main characters mixed with the similar yet different story lines leaves you anxious to get to the next page. Just when you think you know what's coming you're surprised. No matter you're age give them a try. They are a mixture of science and crime and rel- ationships. I guarantee you'll be hooked!
Oh the sci-fi awesome drama! Another enjoyable book. Wish this series was on Netflix or something, would be awesome! Each book could be like 2-3 episodes. The small town and eco corruption was awesome but I don’t think anyone could be so ridiculous as to think that nothing would happen after they opened the flood gates. That bad guy was unbelievably dumb, just wish it was a little bit more believable.
I cannot even tell you the amount of times I barked out a laugh and had my children asking me what was so funny. I like the characters more and more as the series goes on. I definitely recommend this whole series.
The list of places I won't go to gets ever longer with every book Tilton writes. The author is a master of mutant monsters and how they kill humans. Read this book to discover the newest threat to humanity.
No story set up, no real terror panic in confrontations, just follows formalistic series story line. Disappointing. Borrowed with Kindle Unlimited, read with Alexa audio assist.
Enjoyed reading this book but not as exciting or terrifying as rest of series for the first half. Action picked up for the last half & will be waiting impatiently for book 8.
In this 7th book in the series the team will face a new mutant menace. Along with the bad guys not playing nice with each, what more could you want in a story. So read and enjoy as I did.
