What an absolutely adorable novella! It felt good being back in Grym Hollow and getting a little snippet of what's to come in The Wolf's Mate. Where the Dragon's Rose was all about dragons, we continue with another magical species in Tallie's Secret. This book sets the perfect setting for what is to come in the next book and I can't wait to dive into that one. This book was a quick and fun read. I can't wait to learn more about this wolfpack and Tallie and Thorne.

Before diving into this one, go and read The Dragon's Rose. It is the perfect way to start the series and you'll understands more of the things mentioned in this book. Must read if you enjoy fantasy, a bit of misunderstanding, wolf shifters, forbidden romance and 🔥spice.

This is a novella in tbr author’s Grym Hollow world, which includes a collection of interconnected standalones. The characters from this novella will be in the next book, The Wolf’s Mate, releasing later this year. Tropes include mates, wolf shifters, forbidden romance, and a misunderstanding. This is a steamy novel with adult content. I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved the story and how it fits in with the characters’ relationships. The FMC and the MMC are in love with each other but the FMC’s cousin is the King Alpha of the pack (and also happens to be the MMC’s best friend) and he would not approve of their relationship. The chaos, erupts between the MMC and FMC, leading to some angst filled moments. I love both of these characters so I hope we get to see more of their relationship in the next book.

This was such a quick good read.
Tallie has a secret she's been hiding from her cousin, the Alpha of the wolf pack.
When she stumbles upon something that rips her heart out, she takes off.
Unable to endure that pain again.
Until Thorne finds her and brings her home.
That's when secrets are revealed and things get intenese.
That freaking ending though!!

As far as novellas and short stories go, I have to say, this one was perfect, really!

Being a Romantasy reader, a good shifter romance is always a treat, which this book sure was!

Despite being a short read, it had everything a romance reader craves - a decent storyline, nice characters, world/community building, interesting back story and scope for future books!

Most important of all, the protagonists were really adorable and their bond, their chemistry, the romance and spice were just right for my taste!

Especially loved the last chapter/epilogue; the mating ceremony was really interesting!

Can't wait to read more about it and Rip's story in book 2 - The Wolf's Mate!😍

Sweet, heartfelt novella

This was such a sweet novella telling Tallie and Thorne’s story. I’d already read The Wolf’s Mate so I know how this novella ends but it was so nice to see the origin story of their relationship. I love how Rip and Tallie’s mom ralley around them to help them in them in their time of need. This is must read for any shifter romance loving reader how needs a HEA!

Being a novella this was a quick read. Does not help that it was so good! I don’t want to put it down. The characters were very personable, and paired well together. I sure hope we get more of them in The Wolf’s Mate.
This novella is 1.5 in the Gryms Hollow series. Book 1 being The Dragons Rose.

I adored this novella! I loved getting a quick peek into Tallies life and her relationship with Thorne. It was an easy and fast read that I binged in one sitting. I could have read a whole big book about these characters and their pack life. Definitely read this one if you're reading the Grym Hollow Series!

It was a quick, easy read that's setting us up for The Wolf's Mate. It's about the King Alpha's cousin and his second in command. Novellas don't do much for me so I usually avoid them, but I didn't want to miss any context necessary for the next book. I'll report back after I've read book 2 on whether I think it's a necessary read.

I really liked this one. Gives a smooth transition from book 1 into book 2 as we are introduced to Rip and get a little insight on his story. In this novella, we get to meet Rip's family which includes our main girl Tallie and she has a secret. She's in love with Rip's second, Thorne.
