This book...was absolutely atrocious. A true disappointment if I have ever read one. I cannot tell you one thing I liked about this book. There was no saving grace. The .5 star is the simple fact that I didn't DNF it. 😭

Starting this book, I knew it wasn't going to be great. Before reading the book, it tells you the tropes that draw you in and I was like BET sign me up!! However, it has the virgin trope and I am personally not a fan. I did want to give it a chance tho bc I have yet to dislike anything Catharina Maura writes!! I am a fool. A clown. A BUFFOON.

There was absolutely nothing positive I can say about the characters. The FMC is a walking human doormat with no backbone. The MMC started off SO promising, until the end of the book. I found his later behavior disgusting and I was physically screamed out loud because I could not STAND HIM. The chemistry between these two was nil and it was such a struggle to get through.

There was deadass zero plot to this book. It was 300 pages of sex and betrayal and terrible conversation. I would not recommend this book to anyone. How did we go from such a good series, The Windsors, to this??? I am so let down. The only positive thing I can say on this book was it was short and I didn't have to torture myself. 🙂

The absurdity of this book is astonishing. I was honestly done with Catharina Maura's books bcs they are corny AF but the mc is related to the Windsor series so I picked this up.

I find it insanely weird that the Archer's ex gf, Tyra was like a sister to Serenity yet she still got together with him. The whole build up was odd. 3 chapters in and Serenity couldn’t hold back her tears when Theo 'broke her heart' and she jumped right into Archer's arms. And did I mention that the guy refers to her as his best friend's little sister and carries her into her home like a literal child 5% into the book?😭😂

The fmc's entire personality is that she's a 22 year old virgin, has a list and likes to paint. That's literally it. And I'm not even joking.

The mmc is a cardboard cutout. Weird af. He seemed better in Celeste's book. And the list trope has got to be banned by now.

This wasn't even a love triangle. It was a love octagon.😭 The whole plot of this book was that all the characters are secretly in love with different ppl + smut. Archer is banging Serenity while still having a thing for Tyra. Serenity is banging him to forget her 'love' for Theo. Theo who got together with Kristina in the beginning of the book, ends up having a thing for Serenity in the end (WEIRD). And Ezra is apparently in love with Tyra. BITCH BE FR-

What the fuck even was this? I absolutely believe ppl have different tastes and don't get me wrong, I'm not judging anybody here. But I'm genuinely asking all the 5 star raters - WTF DID YOU SEE IN THIS BOOK THAT MADE IT 5 STARS? I gave this 1 star out of the goodness in my heart. I'm not even gonna lie here, I skimmed thru most of it bcs I just knew how it was gonna pan out. I've read the author's works early on in my reading journey and now that my tastes evolved, I realise how cringey they are. All her books have the same pattern.

then when everything seems going well where Archer and Serenity accept their love for each other....boom boom boom

Tyra comes back!

Then we find that Erza (fmc's brother) is also in love with Tyra.

At last we find that Theo is also fond of Serenity and wants to be with her

Después de que a Serenity se le rompiera el corazón por un amor no correspondido hacia su mejor amigo, quiere pasar página y hacer cosas que no pudo por estar esperando por ese amor y una de ellas es perder su virginidad y en su lista está Archer el mejor amigo de su hermano que accidentalmente ve la lista.
Al principio no está muy de acuerdo, pero poco a poco se convence, empiezan una relación de amigos con derechos que va escalando, pero la mantienen oculta, conforme avanza su acuerdo empiezan a enamorarse.

Fue una historia linda, los hombres que escribe Catharina Maura son para sacarlos del libro, su lenguaje del amor es hacer las cosas más dulces por sus mujeres, tienen unos gestos románticos que DUDE YO QUIERO.
Archer no es la excepción, la llevó a un campo de tulipanes porque era el sueño de Serenity, le montó una galería con todas sus obras y también es posesivo, compró todas las heladerías para cerrarlas cuando ella iba con su mejor amigo del cual él estaba celoso.

El drama nunca puede faltar con estas historias y a veces no es por falta de amor o por un malentendido sino por las circunstancias y es lo que más duele.

Ahora en la espera de los próximos libros que serán de los hermanos de Xavier.

Сереніті і Арчер починають таємно зустрічатися з наміром відволіктися від болю колишніх стосунків (Арчер) і нерозділеного кохання (Сереніті). Це не повинно було тривати вічно і мало терміни завершення. Але, коли в гру вступають почуття, попередні домовленості втрачають силу.

Це було дуже мило, комфортно і неймовірно гаряче. Цей чоловік🤌🤌🤌
З яким обожнюванням, любов'ю і турботою він ставився до Сереніті. Виконував її бажання, дбав про її комфорт, захоплювався її талантом і пишався її досягненнями. Це треба просто прочитати.

Стосунки героїв — дуже екологічні, здорові, з шаленою пристрастю і взаємним захопленням одне одним. Спостерігати за їхніми ревнощами було справжнім задоволенням — оці власницькі замашки з обох сторін🫠

Порадував адекватний брат Сереніті — за сумісництвом найкращий друг Арчера. Розуміючий, проникливий і розумний. Сподобалося, що не роздували драму навколо цього тропу.

Але власне сама драма була дуже болючою. Аж серце краялося спостерігати за їхньою взаємною тугою і стражданнями, добре що вкінці вони отримали своє довго і щасливо.

Загалом, книга викликала багато позитивних емоцій і вражень. Мені дуже сподобалося 💖

I hated this book all along, from the first letter to the last, and usually, I do like Catharina Maura’s books.

First of all, Serenity is 22 and acting like this? Come on… its 2024.
A virgin with a list of people she’d like to lose her virginity to? 💀

I just couldn’t feel anything toward serenity. She had no personality (I’m a virgin, I like to paint, and I love my best friend—srsly?).

The male main character, Archer, was so weird. He sees the list, and two days later, he says to his best friend’s little sister, “You want to come on my finger?” Like, what?

I really don’t know what Catharina was thinking, but I know she can do much better. Also, the book was way too short!

I didn’t understand a lot of things, like where Tya went or what exactly her relationship with Archer was.

I wasted 8€. 😞😞😞

i absolutely loved it! catharine’s book lived up to my expectations again. i’ve been excited to read about archer and serenity since the windsor series ended, and their story took me on such an emotional ride. i truly connected with both sera and archer. their individual stories were so well-balanced, which made their love story even more compelling.

i was really impressed by serenity’s intelligence and artistic side. her deep connection with archer and the lasting impact she made on his life really stood out to me. i found her relentless pursuit of her passion so inspiring. she never let others’ opinions stop her from chasing her dreams, which is such a good reminder to follow your heart and focus on what truly matters, no matter what others think. ignoring your passions is an easy way to let your dreams slip away.

archer never held back his feelings for her and always treated her like a queen. his jealousy was there but never crossed the line. his decisions showed how carefully he navigated everything, knowing they had real consequences. reading his perspective was such an emotional rollercoaster, but i really admired how he humbled himself, his mind always in turmoil when it came to serenity.

their story really captivated me, especially with all the challenges and hidden identities involved. sera and archer’s journey to their happily ever after felt so genuine, even though their initial intentions weren’t perfect. everything unfolded so smoothly, with so much care. from archer helping sera complete her travel bucket list to just loving her fully, each gesture felt so heartfelt and genuine.

Книга справді була дуже дуже ідеальна, Арчер настільки чоловік чоловік що я вже навіть не знаю чи хтось зможе його перевершити
В мене є улюблені чоловіки з книг Катаріни але Арчер точно в топі
Особисто я читаючи цю книгу постіно чекала підвоху, знаючи Катаріну і її любов до драми
Тим більше особисто я не велика прихильниця тропу «найкращий друг брата» адже сюжет постійно однотипний тут вони якось наоборот почали швидко зустрічатись хоча і приховували свої стосунки трохи довго але їм і справді було важко тримати руки при собі

On paper this looks delicious, but it felt like the author had a checklist of tropes she was trying to check off rather than build a plot from the ground up. The storyline reads like a series of separate mini-tropey events that aren’t really tied together. For example-


The book starts with Serenity upset because she’s in LOVE with Theo, but her bestie pursued him behind her back. Her and Archer have this weird sister/bro bond. He’s hung up on his missing GF Tyra and so is his best friend, Ezra. She decides her best course of action is to lose her virginity to Archer. Why? Because she trusts him? Like a brother?

And then out of the blue Archer desires her after seeing her as a little sister for years because he sees he’s on her sex list. What? Then they’re having a no strings sexathon with tons of strings.


The plot felt disjointed and manipulated rather than flowing naturally. Things/people were important then they faded away, then they floated to the top, faded away, rinse and repeat. The dialogue was awkward. Parts were SUPER illogical, like Tyra not going to a hospital after spending YEARS in captivity. So, I started skimming hard when they started having sex all the time then jumped to the big twist at 70%.

Bottom Line- I’m not going to rate this because I really only read the last 30% which was alright. Not quite as dramatic as I thought it would be because we have both their POV’s and know exactly how each other feels. I do think it would’ve worked better/less messy had Archer and Tyra been separated from Serenity and Ezra because I think it added a level of ick for them to go from a bro/sis to a lovers relationship. And it felt disloyal for her to say she thought of Tyra as a sister while she was jumping Archer’s bones and Ezra lusting after his best bud's girlfriend wasn’t cool either.

This got so much potential.

The whole plot with sera/archer and Tyra could’ve been GOOOOD.

We could’ve had REAL angst, but we didn’t.

This was mid. The whole story was lacking. Disappointed.

Another gem from this author, I love her stories. There is always longing and heart wrenching moments. This story is a branch off of the Windsor Series. This story is about Serenity and Archer. Archer is Serenity’s brother’s best friend and co-founder of their company. Serenity, is fresh from heartbreak after years of unrequited love for her best friend leave her wanting to start over. What better way to move on than to create a list of things she wants to do and experience - including losing the pesky v card. Who better than to Archer, who himself is struggling from a past love that disappeared and left him haunted. Both engage on a deal to be together to help each other move forward, knowing it’s only temporary as a permanent relationship would decimate their worlds. But what happens when just a moment isn’t enough?

Зворушлива історія про особисту цінність, важливість вибору та безумовне кохання. Як завжди в книгах Катаріни - це було емоційно, дуже чуттєво та зцілююче.  

Мені сподобалось розкриття головних героїв. Особливо Арчера. Чоловік знову навчився посміхатися, бути відкритим та щасливим. Це було сильно. Єдиний мінус - це пропущені деякі моменти в сюжеті. Дуже хочеться прочитати книгу про Езру і Тай, тож буду молитися на Мауру 😅
