Lexi is back from the underworld, heartsore but determined to exact some sweet vengeance on the shadow shapers. To do that, she’ll need Zeus’s help, but Zeus is trapped in the wires, slowly disintegrating into nothingness. Without his lightning bolt, he’s toast.

So all she has to do is find the missing pieces of the lightning bolt and her troubles should be over, right?

Wrong. She may have found out who she is, but her memory is still full of holes—which will make tracking down the lightning bolt kind of tricky. And when the shadow shapers strike again, threatening the people she loves, it’s clear that Zeus isn’t the only one running out of time.

Lexi’s had tough gigs before, but unless she frees Zeus and defeats the shadow shapers, Olympus will fall. And that kind of pressure can really ruin a girl’s day.

Jake is still reeling from discovering that Lexi is Artemis, but honestly, Lexi still is too. He may have ended their relationship, but it's obvious that he still loves her. Lexi may have her identity and her powers back, but with her memories still locked away, she has no idea who she is, what sort of person she was.
Apollo is thrilled to have his sister back, but is disappointed that she can't remember him. He's determined to help Lexi get her memories back by bringing her to Artemis's home.
It's more important than ever that the group track down the missing pieces of Zeus's lightning bolt to bring him back out of the wires for he can only sustain himself in there for so long before he dissipates. It is believed that Poseidon has one of the forks, along with Hestia's, they're only missing one piece. Without Zeus, the shadow shapers can't be stopped, for there is a traitor amongst the pantheon, but nobody knows who.

This is a wild ride of an ending to the series. The action just doesn't stop! Between dodging shadow shapers, hunting down the missing parts of the lightning bolt and trying to recover her memories, Lexi is always on the move.
All I remembered going into this book was the very ending, and I mean the epilogue. I'd forgotten who the traitor was, where Zeus's bolt was, everything! Was fantastic watching it all unfold again.

This is definitely a great fantasy read. It seemed to steer away from the classics (specifically what you normally find on Kindle unlimited) in terms of the plot, especially the love element which is always welcome and so refreshing! Although I didn't form a deep connection with the characters like I do with some books (maybe because this is a short read), I loved them nonetheless. Syl's banter was amazing, and spot on for someone who's half cat.
Was a great ending to a great series, the characters got what they deserved. I'm glad I came back for a re-read.

A great ending

So I didn't see how the author was going to wrap everything up in this book but I was pleasantly surprised how it all turned out. I loved this finale and if you are a fan of the series, you'll love it too!

At last, the dramatic denouement and the final confrontation. The build-up to this was a bit slow, and there were long stretches of Lexi saying chirpily: ‘All we have to do is X and it will all be over…’. Well, you just know there’s trouble coming, don’t you? And so it was.

For anyone who’s made it through all four previous books, you’ll be rewarded by a dramatic climax, where Lexi’s wits are the deciding factor, although ably assisted by her friends and assorted gods. The outcome isn’t unexpected, but there’s a neat resolution to the thorny issue of mortals falling in love with immortals. And Lexi eventually decides her newly-found brother is all right really, which was touching.

A great series. Five stars and highly recommended.

This book was worth the wait honestly. It answered so many questions I had left and I don't always like a happy ending in books but these guys deserved it. Lexi was awesome and stuck true to her bad arse self. Syl has always been my favorite character though haha I'm a cat person and Marina Finlayson really made Syl's personality just like a cats. How ever.....I could only give 4 stars because I felt like it was really rushed, which is something I hate in final books, like the author is just trying to hurry up and print up something that answers all the questions so they can move on to another book or what not (not saying that is what this Author did just that it felt rushed). I would of really liked a small epilogue, I like to know what happens after that happy ending. Do Lucas and Syl get married or decide on having kids? Same for Jake and Lexi? Does Jake ever decide to change his name cause (God Jake of Metalshaping doesn't have a great ring to it haha...like Syl said). But still I was happy at the ending when Jake stopped being an idiot and well it was just a happy ending!!! It is worth reading and I'd recommend to everyone to read this series.

The perfect ending

This is the conclusion of the Shadows of the Immortals series and it answers all the questions we've wanted and waited so long to have answered. Lexi is on the hunt for not only her memories, but also Zeus's lightning bolt. Lexi will join forces with Apollo, Poseidon, Mac, and her love Jake. Jake still won't show his feelings for Lexi because he considers her out of his league since it was revealed she is really Artemis just with no memory. The ending is perfect and the story goes quickly. New characters are introduced and along the way Lexi finally realizes Apollo isn't such a douche. Just a really good story that leaves you feeling happy inside, and worth spending your time reading until the end. I'd definitely recommend reading this story especially if you like Greek Gods, mystery, action, friendship, and a little bit of love thrown all in together.

I don’t know…

I was loving it! The world building, the mythology, the mix between powers… it had so much potential!!

But the Artemis thingy… I don’t know man, I guess she took it somewhere I just didn’t follow and didn’t like it 🤷🏻‍♀️

The ending was good enough… jake was not surprisingly turned into a god so that they could be together, and when she became Artemis we definitely lost Alexis, not gonna lie.

And also, when she became Artemis I just didn’t feel like she managed to capture the soul of the goddess, you know?! I may be full of bull, but the Artemis is definitely not that vulnerable and like weak!!!

There was a part where she was like “oh no, I lost my love! I just want to lie here and accept my death - I mean gurl what?! You are a frigging goddess!!!! And have lived like a million years!! And you just wanted to die because of a mortal?!?!?! What the heck!!!

That was the part that I couldn’t really swallow I guess…

Meh.

But the first one was ótimo!!

Books 1 & 5 were decent, the rest i skim read, as i was interested to find out the ending

Romance was meh, didn’t think there was any connection between Jake and Lexi at all, would have actually preferred them not to of ended up together - especially with them all ending up immortal. (which i didn’t like either) the ‘ i love you’d’ were cringe! they barely even got along 🙄 artemis is supposed to be this immortal goddess who’s lived for centuries and but yet is weak at the knees over one mortal who she barely liked / had a connection with?!? nah! if the romance was done better, then maybe it would’ve been convincing

Felt like Syl got a back seat in this book

Liked Lexi being artemis, figured that from book 1 or 2? i’m not a fan of ‘no memories’ and i would’ve loved to of read more on lexi being artemis and her relationships with her family.

The final book in the series and all is well that ends well. At the end of the last one, Lexie found out she was Artemis, but she couldn't remember her life as the goddess. In light of this development, Jake left her because he couldn't be with a goddess. Overall I liked the book, but it was so focused on her memory loss and her broken heart, I got real soap opera vibes.

Aside from that, they have to find Zeus’ lightning bolt to bring him back and finally bring down the shadow shapers. The ending feels a little rushed, but at least everything is wrapped up.

Goodbye, friends

I loved this entire series from start to finish.
Mythology, mystery, comedy, tragedy, Love, companionship, deceit.
It is a full tale with lots of web weaving, making an epic story.
I am truly sad to be saying goodbye, Shadows of the Immortals was such a fun and fantastic journey to experience.
The final book tied together all the loose strings in a pretty package and I’m left feeling satisfied.

Hmmmm

This was a solid ending to the series overall.
My gripe is that it introduced the Celtic god of the sea, and yet we never learned the fates of the other Olympians. It seemed like a waste.
Other than that, this story was full of action and a few eye-roll worthy and totally predictable moments.
Again, it was a fitting conclusion but it’s a shame the story was wrapped up so quickly.

This series started off pretty interesting, but then it began to drag with a very predictable plot. That being said I never didn't like Lexi, but I def got irritated with her relationship with Jake. Sis went from "I hate fire ppl" to "I love him and will do anything for him" within the blink of an eye. And the author never explained what the difference was between a shaper and a human. How did the shapers come to be? Can a god make a human into a shaper??? So many unanswered Qs.

Final book of good series

A plot against the Greek gods— and in 21st Century Australia (kinda-sorta) at that.

Someone is killing off the gods in order to steal their powers. Lexi, a professional thief, is drawn into it, fighting to protect gods she’d barely believed in, along with Syl, her catshifter best friend.

The series is an enjoyable and well-written pleasure— recommended.

Clever and innovative world building. Sympathetic heroine with likable supporting characters. While I was not particularly interested in the prolonged storyline during the book where heroine and hero traversed Hades' hell, in general, the series kept the interest throughout and delivered a final satisfying ending.

A fantastic adventure, and beautifully written

I loved the story, but what a treat to read a well written book in this genre. The adventure had death, intrigue, romance, and very clever humour. I highly recommend this series. I was so engrossed that I read all 5 books in a week or so. I

This is the conclusion to this series. It tied things up well without being too simple. I really enjoyed it. I think it is the best of the series. The traitor to the gods, the missing gods, Lexi's missing memories and the romance, all come out to play.

Good ending.
Zeus's lightning bolts need to be found before he disappears. Lexi needs to get her memories back. The one taking the powers of the gods must be found. There is a lot happening in this last book. This has been a very enjoyable series.

Bleh

It wasn't a bad book, but was super aniclimatic. I mean she is a goddess and she was essentially useless. All the gods minus Zeus seemed pretty weak.
