NYT/WSJ/USAT International bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of lots of lovely years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

Shifting Gears is book three in the Reynold’s Restorations series by Melanie Moreland. Don’t you love it when you meet two people in a book and get a little hint of them and then, it’s time for their book?! It’s finally time to see what their stories are! I’ve been so excited for Brett and Kelly’s story and now it’s here!!!

Kelly Ryerson is Charly’s best friend. She is a photographer, working as an assistant, and pops in and out of Charly’s life when she’s not on a job. During her times home, she and Brett connected, sort of a hook up situation. But each time she came home, their connection deepened. But she always left, leaving Brett broken hearted. This time, she has been gone a year but she needs Charly. She also knows that she badly hurt Brett the last time she left and is pretty sure she is the last person he wants to see again.

Brett Conner is the assistant manager at Reynold’s Restorations. He never expected to see Kelly again and has spent the last year trying to get over her. But all it took was one look and he knew he hadn’t done it. But, he is determined to keep his heart closed off this time. To keep his distance. Even though he can tell that something was wrong, that Kelly looked thinner, paler, sadder. Why did she come back?

Little by little, Brett’s resolve weakens and he finally listens to Kelly’s story. Both of her childhood years and the events leading up to her returning home this time. The connection between these two never weakened. It didn’t matter if they were apart a month or a year, they were still drawn to each other. And as time went on, once again, their connection deepend and Brett started to have hope. Hope that this time, Kelly would stick. That what they shared would be enough. That HE would be enough.

I adore these two and loved finally learning their stories. This comes with plenty of smiles as well with Theo of course. And, Mama Rosa keeps everyone on their toes. I also adored spending time with the characters I love so much, Maxx and Charly, and Stefano and Gabby. All of these characters together have created a family of their own. They love and support one another and have each other’s backs. That’s what you do for family, for the people you love.

The next book in this series, book four, is Under the Radar. It will be Chase’s book. I already know who his love interest will be but I’m not telling. You’ll have to read this book to find out!

"Life isn't perfect, and sometimes that is the beauty we have to show."
And isn’t that the truth? Most of the time, if not always, perfect is overrated and the most beautiful things are imperfect. Like Brett. Like Kelly. Like their relationship.
Until it becomes perfect, in their own very special way.

This is book 3 in the Reynolds Restoration series, and even though it can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the others for a more enjoyable experience (yes, I know, I still haven’t read the first but it’s on my Kindle, I promise!)

"Your touch erased it all, Brett."
Brett has risen to the top of my Melanie Moreland book boyfriends. I loved him. I love how open he is about his feelings and about what he wants. I love that he opens himself up to getting hurt, even though he’s the protector, and dominating in the bedroom (and the barn, and other places). Yep, he totally works for me.

"I've always seen you, Kelly. The moment I met you, my eyes were glued to you."
Kelly is a hard one. She seems so detached, doesn’t want to settle down, and keeps herself on the move. But she has a reason for that, even if you don’t see it at first. Since I loved Brett so much, I wanted to hate her sometimes, but it’s just not possible. Not when you get to know her.

"I feel you watching me. It's as if you're touching me."
Brett and Kelly had a no-strings attached thing, and it was all sorts of hot. Literally, from page 1 in the book. Until he caught feelings, and she left him behind. He knew it was probably coming, but he didn’t want to believe it until it happened. And now she’s back, and he wants no part in that anymore. He’s done with her. Until he takes one look at her, and realizes… he’s not.
And this time maybe there’s a chance something’s changed for her too.

"I loved you enough to hope that I was what you had been searching for."
When he sees her, she seems different. More fragile. Whatever happened, maybe she’s come back to stay, but believing that will get him hurt all over again. Once it’s clear they can’t keep their hands off each other, they’re both careful not to fall too deep.
But yeah, they fall anyway. I love to see their relationship moving forward, and I loved all the secondary characters steering them in the right direction.

"All I saw is you."
"All I ever see is you."

One thing stood out to me in this book. He falls first, and hard, and we can see all his emotions and the way he thinks about Kelly and how much he wants her. How hurt he is by her leaving. It’s the balance between vulnerable and alpha protector that gets to me, and I love it. I feel like we don’t see enough of this in heroes, so it was definitely a nice change.
It helps that Brett is always willing to put her happiness first, regardless of what happens to him.

"I would follow you to the ends of the earth, if that's what it took."
He doesn’t feel like he’s enough, she doesn’t realize she already has what she’s been searching for all her life. Life doesn’t have to be an either/or situation, you don’t have to choose one thing and lose everything else. Shifting gears means just that – sometimes you speed up, other times you just enjoy the ride. And life is one ride they don’t have to take alone anymore.

Second chances are my jam and Melanie Moreland did not disappoint in delivering the trope and then some.

What is it about second chances that I love so much? It is the obstacle whatever it is that has the couple work through it. The second chance trope brings a bit of realism to the story. Not everything is roses in relationships, and I love to see the couple put in the work to overcome the thing that had moved them apart.

Brett is everyone's friend. He is that steadfast hero who will give the shirt off his back, the money in his wallet, and drive 12 hours to fix what needs fixing. I absolutely LOVED that Ms. Moreland chose him to be the unrequited love instead of the heroine. You see him struggle. He doesn't want to be hurt again, but he wants to fix things for Kelly that he knows have gone wrong. And oh my swoons, he gives her the space to do so. He is protective when it counts, and lifts her wings when he knows she needs it.

Kelly - so naturally, we should be side-eyeing the heroine because she hurt our all-Canadian boy. But we learn that Kelly has taken a few life knocks unexpectedly. The story unfolds and we can relate to Kelly's desire not to have her wings clipped. As readers, we loosen our wariness along with Brett to see the beautiful, caring heroine Kelly has always been and now flourishes.

Can they compromise to find a way? Ahhh friends, read to find out.

Once again, Melanie Moreland brings to the reader a story worth investing your time in. We get to visit with the gang at Reynolds Restoration. And Theo continues to be the scene-stealer with his wide-open curiosity. Surprises happen for the secondary characters that will have you howling along with this wonderful, warm and delightful found family. Melanie Moreland brings her brilliant storytelling through a full arc to a perfect HEA for Brett and Kelly. This series has found a permanent spot in my heart and definitely a re-read for those days when I seek out a comfort read.

This is a definite MUST READ recommendation from me.

PS: When are we getting Chase? I cannot WAIT for that story!

Melanie Moreland had me revving to go, breaking all sorts of speed limits and shifting gears to make the chase. They boys of Reynolds & Co. Restoration are mine. ALL MINE. Right from the get-go Melanie Moreland had Brett shifting gears from 1st to 6th in a matter of seconds. Brett and Kelly took me on a wild ride, it was fast, sexy and oh so addicting. And not once did the pace slow down. They took me on one amazing adventure. I was so giddy with excitement, I literally laughed out loud and my heart felt every emotion they felt. I love how the author sucks me in and feels like I’m living in Littleburn seeing all this play out. Shifting Gears is everything I love about the author’s writing. I devoured every page forgoing much needed sleep. Who needs sleep when you have Brett and Kelly keeping you company as well as the rest of the gang? All the characters and storyline was worth it and made this one an unputdownable, one-sitting read! I am looking forward to the next instalment in this MUST read series.

Audiobook: 5+⭐️
Another great performance by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell! I was floored as always by their narrating. Hands down one of my fave duos. They had taken Melanie Moreland’s words and sucked me in. I was there feeling and seeing Brett and Kelly’s journey in real-time. It was like a movie playing out in my mind and I enjoyed every second. If there is one series you need to get on, it’s definitely this one. The boys of Reynold’s & Co are so swoony.

Quiet Brett Conner has his chance for an HEA in Shifting Gears.

I loved this story. It is sweet, swoony, funny and packs an emotional punch.
Charly’s best friend Kelly Ryerson arrives back in Littleburn homeless, jobless, recovering from being sick and with a secret she doesn’t want to share.

“I was searching. But I had no idea what I was searching for until I almost lost it.”

Brett and Kelly have an off and on history of hot and heavy that always lasts until Kelly’s next big job pulls her away again. But Brett is tired of having his heart broken and doesn’t want to open himself up to that again.

“We all need a place, Kelly. Somewhere safe to call home. Someone to call our own.”

It was wonderful to revisit the families & found family of Reynold’s Restoration! Theo kept me laughing and Charly tried to steal the show of course.

I listened to this audiobook as a reread and loved the story even more with the addition of John Lane and Maxine Mitchell’s wonderful narration!

Shifting Gears is Brett and Kelly’s story in the Reynolds’s Restoration Series. Poor Brett is left heartbroken every time Kelly leaves for her job - and to avoid her feelings for Brett. It’s easier for her to run than to stay and deal with the connection between them.

She returns most recently and she is ill and run down. Brett swears he won’t get involved with her again… famous last words. The more time they spend together they both realize how much they mean to each other.

Shifting Gears is a great Melanie Moreland book. It is full of her typical warmth and humor and spice!! As well as one of her love languages being FOOD!! I really liked the side characters and of course Theo stealing the show!!

Shifting Gears
(Reynold’s Restorations #3)
Written by: Melanie Moreland

She had me crying by page six! Huge tears and all I wanted to do was hug Brett and tell him it will all work out.

But would it? Would he and Kelly (that is if she ever came back) be able to weather this storm of a friendship/relationship or would he always have that piece she held in his heart aching for her.

In Shifting Gears our emotions are challenged so many times and on top of that we know there is a secret being kept from everyone, Kelly won’t even tell Charly!
That girl has balls because I would tell Charly everything (I’m kinda scared of her some days).

But while Brett and Kelly are working through their problems there just might be another love story going on, time will tell. If you’re looking for a laugh now and then well the cutest little boy in Littleburn is back and he just as cute, especially when it come to bears and raccoons.

I devoured this book, I loved this book, I cried and I laughed and I love this book.
I’m pretty sure you will as well. Oh and before I forget….do you like Cinnamon?

Audio Review

Shifting Gears
(Reynolds Restoration Book 3)
by Melanie Moreland
Narrators: John Lane & Maxine Mitchell

Let’s start of with honesty; Melanie Moreland has been one of my go to authors for some time. What draws me to each book is her way of making the characters in seem like they are your next-door neighbors. You become a part of her story families, you become involved, and you worry, you laugh, you cry with her characters. They become a part of you. Her Reynolds Restoration series though, beyond perfect with the right amount of angst, the perfect blend of love and the wit and humor of this story, as I said ~ beyond perfect.

Add in the voices of John Lane (truth, I can listen to this man for days on end) and Maxine Mitchell and you have an audio book totally designed for eargazims…yes your read that right. If you didn’t love Moreland’s characters already, then John and Maxine make sure you love them all by the end. When it comes to humor though, it was like she got my sense of humor and hearing lines from Theo “I heard some weird noises but didn’t see any one.” ~ “Maybe it was a bear. ~ “Maybe a raccoon.” as well as these from Charlie “Did you get roughed up in the slammer? Become anyone’s bitch?” and “Don’t make me wish you were back in the big house, Brett.” had tears rolling down my cheeks as I laughed and laughed.

I know when I read/listen to a Melanie Moreland book I’m getting the best of everything, writing, story, characters, narrators and at the end of each book I know my time reading/listening has given me that chance to add some new friends, often visit with old friends and enjoy the experience.

Brett and Kelly's story really gave my heart a workout with their emotional and angsty romance. The Feels are thick as this duo struggles with their explosive chemistry, painful history, long simmering emotions, regrets and secrets. Bret was easy to love, and boy did I feel for him. Kelly was a bit more of a mixed bag for me. She inspired a range of emotions in me. Everything from a bit of frustration and anger to sympathy and understanding. I may have not always liked her actions, but I simply couldn't dislike her. Together these two make another heart melting, temperature rising, swoon worthy couple for this cute, fun and completely irresistible series that always has me eager to return to Reynold's Restorations to see beloved old friends and make new ones. I am posting an independent, impartial review.

Settling into a series you already love is such a wonderful feeling. And diving into that next book is always met with a sense of excitement. But when the heat hits you from page one? WOW! I always knew Brett and Kelly’s story would have a hair-trigger ignition switch, but Shifting Gears still blew me away!
Melanie Moreland has created a wonderful sense of found family with her Reynolds Restorations crew, and she really brought it home in this story. Not only do we get a deeply emotional look into Kelly and Brett’s relationship, but this tale brings together even more loose ends. All of the characters I loved in books 1 and 2 are back, and are given a bit more of a spotlight, as Moreland weaves together the pieces of Kelly and Brett’s life.
Moreland makes wonderful use of the sexual tension between Kelly and Brett to amp up the heat between them and build a solid, beautiful love story around both of their needs, fears, and histories. Readers also get even more insight into the friendships, relationships, and camaraderie of the Reynolds Restorations men’s families, bringing that found family connection even closer and more relevant to all of them. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series. I have a feeling Chase’s story is going to blow us all away.

Like a moth to a flame, Brett has felt a connection and a pull to Kelly from the very first time they met. With a relationship built on mutual physical attraction, they both feel as long as there are no feelings involved than no one will get hurt. But when Kelly comes back to town out of sorts, Brett instantly knows something is wrong. Can the two open up and be honest with their feelings in order to move forward? Or will Kelly once again have her foot out the door and no strings attached to anyone? Melanie Moreland knows the exact way to hook her readers in, make them fall in love, squash their hopes and desires and then piece by piece put them and her characters back together again. Epic storyteller with another masterpiece on her hands. Once again Melanie Moreland DOES NOT disappoint.

Y’all!!!! What did I just read?? It was freaking amazing!! I laughed(so much), I cried, I was intrigued and then I was in awe. This series is one of my favorites of Melanie’s. But this book? It spoke to my heart. It’s about losing hope and losing trust. It’s about wanting something that you have never had so much that you have to learn to break down those walls built by the past and pray you can have that future you dreamed about. Brett and Kelly’s story is so, so good! I loved it!!!

This is a lovely reading. It’s super funny, sweet, romantic, and is in there a little bit of heartbreak too, but the love is huge! Reynolds Restoration is a big happy family and to my eternal happiness they keep growing. Brett is really the most perfect person for Kelly, he gives her a purpose ever when neither of them knows it. Their chemistry is definitely hot and beyond description. We meet them from previous books, in this serie and I knew their story will be perfect. Melanie don’t disappointed me here. Brett, Stefano, Maxx and Chase are definitely family to each other. The banter between Stefano and Brett because of Theo questions are amazingly funny! I laugh so hard while reading some chapters, specially the 14th. You’ll gonna love them more. And you’ll love Theo more in this book, is inevitable; with all the questions and comments hahaha he’s the best. Charly, Gabby and Kelly are the perfect group of friends. The HEA here is awesome!!! Can wait for Chase and Occifer Cinnamon’s (lol) story!!!

Did I lose sleep reading a Melanie book? Of course I did that’s how good she is. This one will have you laughing as well as crying. Brett and Kelly were written in the stars.. She just needed to figure her life out when she came back to Littleburn. Brett loved her so much that he was willing to let her go when she got the urge to leave like she always did and deal with the pain of that happening. However Kelly did find the one thing that she was always searching for, however she didn’t realize it until she had a talk with Charly. They got their happy ending together with Brett going along with most of her adventures. I cannot wait to see what else Melanie has in store for the crew of Reynold’s Restoration.

Ms. Moreland certainly knows how to get us all wrapped up in a group of friends and found family, doesn’t she?! I’ve always held the Vested Interest series in high regard and believe me, I still do, but I never thought another series could come close to the love I have for the Vested Interest boys and their families. Well, I was wrong and she’s doing just that with the Reynold’s Restoration Series. She just has a way of pulling me into their lives and the more I read, the more I want and she absolutely delivers. Shifting Gears is Book #3 in the Reynold’s Restoration series and it’s Brett and Kelly’s story, which story we got a glimpse of in Maxx and Stefano’s books, but just a glimpse. Their relationship is kind of an opposites attract in that Kelly is a free spirit photographer and Brett is a homebody who loves with his whole heart and soul, but it’s more than that. The defining factor in Ms. Moreland’s books is always her ability to let the reader experience all the emotions that friendship, family, devotion, heartbreak, misunderstandings and love can bring. I always feel like I’ve known these characters all my life when I’ve finished reading one of her books and this one is no different. It was hard saying goodbye but I know there’s another one coming and I can’t wait! I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an early copy of this book for my honest opinion.

She was silent. When she lifted her head, our eyes met. Hers contained questions, worries. Mine sent reassurance, silent promises.

🏍Review🏍

Although Brett knew that Kelly’s job as a photographer had her travelling the world on her last trip to town to visit her friend Charly he believed that the relationship they shared was special until she abruptly left with no explanation or further contact. When she reappears a year later all he knows is that he doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past, but he soon realizes that she is not the same woman who left.

Kelly knows that leaving Brett was a mistake and she doesn’t expect that he will either forgive her or give her a second chance. The past year has not been good to her, and she just needs a place to heal with the help of her best friend and then she will be on her way, but she hadn’t counted on Brett’s huge heart or the depth of his feelings for her.

Kelly and Brett were magic together especially once Kelly realized that not only would Brett protect her but her heart as well. The characters are captivating, and their group of friends and family are always there to support them and add some humor along the way.

Shifting Gears is book three in the Reynolds Restorations series about a group of friends who own and operate an automobile repair business in Canada and each find love. This can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to start at the beginning as we are introduced to all of the main characters including Brett Connor who meets Kelly Ryerson when she comes to visit her best friend, Charly, who is now married to Maxx.

Brett wears his heart on his sleeve and gives it all away to Kelly, knowing she may never return his affections or be able to commit to him. Shifting Gears is the most emotional book in the series and will have you wiping away the tears in no time. Brett is all in and so loving and patient when Kelly returns again to their small town needing refuge, but this time she is broken and defeated.

Brett is so sweet, strong, and patient. You won’t meet a man more deserving of love. This book will take you on a journey as they work through their feelings and she lets him in little by little. She’s been through something pretty dramatic and life altering, and only the right man can help her heal and trust again.

Kelly is a gifted photographer and has tremendous character growth as each chapter progresses. It’s really beautiful to read, and I loved how Brett just wanted to be near her, to love and protect her. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing and he was a true hero. Even when he was upset, and he had every reason to be, he was always a gentleman and stand-up guy, putting her needs first. Swoon city!

I loved the secondary characters especially his father and his budding romance with Stefano’s mom (Stefano was the hero in book two). Loved how Chase has a future love interest in the top cop, and how far he’s come, and the friendships between all the leading ladies. There were lots of laughs, lots of tears, and lots of sexy times in Shifting Gears, and I am looking forward to more from this gifted author.

Book 3 in the Reynold’s Restoration series see Brett Conner getting his story. A second chance at love with the woman that broke his heart, Kelly, and because Brett is so wonderful, I felt his pain. Hence when Kelly came back into his life it took me a while to warm up to her. Kelly is a free spirit who wants to travel the world, Brett is a home bird who loves his life with his small group of friends and his job in Littleburn. When Kelly breezes back into town and upends his life again, he has to rethink his plans. When she comes clean about her past and present, will Brett be able to forgive her and move forward? Can he ever trust her again? A super steamy, emotional read with wonderful characters and a great storyline. I’m loving this series. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This lovely book is the 3rd book on the Reynolds Restorations series. You can read it without having read the 2 previous but is very recommendable.
When I read the 2nd book I was so intrigued about this couple, I am glad Melany created their owm book, they deserved it.
I have to say that it didn't disappoint, Brett and Kelly make a cute couple and it was very interesting to read their story.
This book was fun, sexy and very enjoyable.

For every heartache there's a spark of hope. Shifting Gears is a glimpse into that ember. Kelly and Brett turn moments of pain into a resilient story of love. Moreland turns emotion into a saving grace. From past misunderstandings to present self-doubt, Shifting Gears is an uphill climb that proves well worth the trek.

Another solid story. 2nd chance love with a bit of backstory/romance suspense. Moreland sure knows what the readers want and opens with a five alarm smokin hot scene in the beginning. Brett and Kelly are hot from the start but past family members and others has made Kelly have q high wall around herself....will Brett by able to finally knock them down?

When I started reading “Shifting Gears” by Melanie Moreland, I thought I was prepared. I knew who the characters were from previous books in the ‘Reynolds Restorations’ series, of which this is the third story. I knew that the author crafts stories that touch the heart. Still, I wasn’t prepared for Brett and Kelly. You can enjoy this book as a standalone, though I strongly suggest you start at the beginning of this terrific series because you’ll understand all of the secondary characters even better, and where Brett and Kelly fit in the universe of them.

Brett is a good guy and a good friend, but something of a loner. He loves his work, and he loves his Dad, even though they don’t have a close relationship anymore. Kelly is a photographer’s assistant, and a talented photographer herself. She's also the best friend of the wife of one of Brett's best friends/business partners. Every time they meet, the chemistry between Brett and Kelly is as combustible as gasoline thrown into a fire. Yet, after she stays for a a short time, Kelly always leaves and every time it breaks his heart a little more. This time when she comes back he’s steeled his resolve against her - but he can tell something’s wrong, and he’s worried; he cares so much, even though he doesn't want to care at all. Kelly really irked me for a good while, then bit by bit the pieces came together and … well, I don’t want to ruin it for you, so you really should just read the book and experience it for yourself.

The secondary characters were fantastic, and a subplot I never expected made my heart so happy! Dialogue and banter among all the characters was excellent, and the laugh-out-loud moments beautifully balanced the serious ones. This book will shred your heart into jagged little pieces and then restore it to pristine condition, leaving you with the warm, fuzzy feeling that only a wonderful book can bring. Be advised, along with the book you’re going to need a couple of tissues and your favorite comfort items. I also suggest trying to read this when you’re likely to have few or no interruptions until you finish, because you’re not going to want to put it down.

Shifting Gears is Brett’s story , and book 3 in Melanie’s Reynolds Restorations series.

I loved this story.
Brett and Kelly are great together.
There story starts off with there complicated/no strings relationship.
And turns into a second chance romance.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Kelly. Because Brett is so sweet I didn’t like seeing him hurt , he deserved his hea. But after reading her story about her past /present. She won me over.
This story is about forgiving , learning to trust, and believe that you deserve to have love.
This story is emotional, sweet, steamy. Great chemistry, Beautifully written.
Great characters. Hea. ❤️

I can’t wait to read about Chase.😍

I love the crew at Reynolds Restoration! We were there when Maxx found Charley and Stefano, Gabby, and Theo became a family. Now it's Brett's turn to find "the one" except he's already found her and couldn't hold onto her.

Kelly is a free spirit but is that the only reason she can't put down roots in any one place? She and Brett have amazing chemistry and the more time they spend together when she comes to visit her best friend Charley, it begins to feel more like lovemaking and less like hookups.

But this time Kelly has secrets. She is different. She is thinner and weaker and frail. Brett will have to convince her she is worthy of a home of her own.

To get little more context on Brett and Kelly's story go read Revved to the Max and Breaking the Speed limit (not necessary but greatly recommended).

Brett was instantly attracted to Kelly. Something in her called out to him. Kelly was also instantly interested in Brett. When thy were together sparks flew. But when Kelly chose to leave without a promise to return she broke Brett's heart.

After sometime away Kelly returns almost a shell of the women that left. Things happened to her that she is not willing to talk about. But when the truths come out will Brett still love her despite what happened?

Shifting Gears is the third book in the Reynolds’s Restoration Series. This is Brett and Kelly’s love story. We meet both Brett and Kelly in the previous books. These two have insta-chemisty and are HOT HOT HOT! However, this couple has their ups and downs throughout the book. It was quite the emotional roller coaster at time but still this author knows how to reel you in and make you love every single character and leaving you wanting more, more, and more! I loved Brett and Kelly so much and I’m so glad they got their HEA!

Third book in the Reynold's Restorations series and thing just keep getting better. Brett & Kelly have amazing chemistry but fear and history is standing in the way of their HEA.

With a bit of everything, humour, romance, emotion with a dash of heartbreak. An interesting back story, secondary characters that are part of the family and the little scene stealer Theo.

Roll on book 4 is all I can say!

Honest review in return for a ARC from the author.

I loved Brett and Kelly!

My favorite thing about this story was how, even though he wanted to deny it, Brett was all in with Kelly from the jump. I had some preconceived notions about Kelly and didn’t love how she seemed to always bail on Brett, but wow did I end up loving so much about her.

This series is such a fantastic group of friends that I feel impatient for the next one as soon as I finish a story. I want all things asap!

Oh Brett and Kelly, how I love you! This book was everything I'd hoped it would be and so much more!
Books 3 in the Reynold’s Restorations series and in typical Melanie Moreland style, it tugs at the heartstrings and has you shedding tears, makes you laugh, makes you angry, and gets you all hot and bothered!!

Brett, who's nursing a broken heart after Kelly runs off again, is determined to keep distance between them. Little by little, his walls come down, and he finds himself full of hope again for a future with Kelly by his side.

After growing up feeling unwanted and trapped, Kelly always feels the need to escape when things get too hot and heavy between her and Brett. Finding herself back in Littleburn after a tragic experience, she soon realizes that leaving won't be so easy this time.

Not only do we finally get to see how things play out for Brett and Kelly, but we also get more from the whole R&R Gang and I absolutely love it! The whole small town, close-knit family vibe runs rampant in Littleburn, and it's a beautiful thing.

Now it's time to wait for the next book and I'm super excited!!

Love this garage crew and all their antics!
The humour and banter between them all has me chuckling as usual.
Brett is a great character, strong steady and reliable but with an adventurous side that he keeps well hidden.
Kelly has itchy feet, constantly searching for something and yet she has no idea what! As we get to know her we learn some shocking truths about her upbringing and also recent events that have brought her back to the garage. She’s weary and struggling.
Can she and Brett work on their past history and make a future or are some things too painful to forget.

With some lovely side stories this is a great escape…just what we have come to love and expect from Ms Moreland.

I can’t wait to read Chase’s story….he is a right charmer…I have a feeling and hope that his story will be packed with flirty fun!

Brett and Kelly's story is romantic and angsty with plenty of laugh out loud moments.
They have a no strings relationship whenever she passes through town visiting her friend Charly, but despite the two having feelings, Kelly would inevitably leave. Brett absolutely stole my heat in this one, he is just so open with his feelings, protective and still dominant behind closed doors. I absolutely love it when the man falls first, and while it took a while for me to fall for Kelly, she won my heart heart in the end. The banter, steam, and feels will have you completely absorbed.
Another five star read in the Reynold's Restoration series and Melanie continues to blow me away with these characters and their stories!
