For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Matthew 24:21-22

In the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Mason Lot's secluded sanctuary has been a haven for him and his group. They have survived the first two waves of the Great Tribulation, but the final assault, known as the Seven Bowl of God’s Wrath will bring about a level of death and destruction never before seen by mankind. Festering sores will break out on the bodies of unbelievers, water will turn to blood, and the planet will be scorched by the heat of the sun and plunged into utter darkness, heralding the end of days.

As if these plagues weren't enough, Chairman de Bourbon has dispatched Commander Demitrius Greive to enforce compliance with the Global Order. Anyone refusing to bear the mark of allegiance faces death by guillotine.

Mason and his daughter, Prairie, embark on a journey to Bryson City in search of a replacement water pump for their compound. Meanwhile, Commander Greive conducts a routine patrol in the area. Spotting Mason's military vehicle outside a hardware shop, Greive's suspicions are aroused. Mason and Prairie narrowly evade capture but lose their prized vehicle to the peacekeepers, forcing them to walk home.

When they arrive back at the compound the next morning, Mason’s other daughter, Wynter, has set out to look for him with her husband, Val. The two don’t come home, and Mason assumes the worst. He will search heaven and earth to find Wynter, but if she has been taken by the Global Order, Mason will be in for the fight of his life!
But even if he rescues Wynter, they must still endure the looming bowl judgments—a world of relentless hardship and unyielding danger.

As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to Scripture, this book might not be for you.

A book aimed right at the hearts and minds of people that will open their eyes ears and hearts. Seems Mark Goodwin has a series of books along this line. Not that I am specifically looking for doom and gloom messages, but my heart knows that the end times are near.
The deception of the media has reached an all time high wars are breaking out everywhere, earthquakes, disease you name it . I don’t the date this was written but the conservative message is brilliant. A must read.

Just finished Mark Goodwin’s The Days of Lot series. This is a wonderful well written, easy to read series.
I love how Mark Goodwin references chapters out of the Book Of Revelation before writing his fictional storyline to coincide with that chapter or paragraph. It really opened up the Book Of Revelation to a clearer insight. It is almost like it brought the paragraph or chapter alive. I enjoyed it thoroughly picturing makes lots life as it happened during that paragraph or chapter of the Book Of Revelation. I’ve read many apocalyptic and Christian apocalyptic books. This is the first that I’ve seen where the writer actually includes quotes from the Bible of the chapter he’s writing about in a fiction storyline. I see that he continues this style of writing in his other books so now I will pick out another one of his series to read. Thank you Mr. Goodwin for such a wonderful wonderful series. May God bless you with wisdom of His Word and may you continue to write more series like this!!! ✝️🙏🏽❤️

I've read this entire series and enjoyed all three novels. There is a strong survivalist element to the books, front and center perhaps more than the Christian element. I wanted to see the characters engaging in prayer before rushing off to skirmishes or attempting something dangerous. Although that's true of all the novels, I felt the lack more noticeable this time around---perhaps because the stakes were so high.

On the plus side, the characters are easy to get behind, and the ending had me biting my nails. There is more of a faith element at the conclusion that I would have liked to see present throughout. I also wanted to know what became of some of minor characters who spanned all three novels. Those quibbles aside, the story held my interest and kept me flipping pages at speed. I read the whole book in one day.

Good trilogy.

The critique: A bit rushed at times. I struggled with the MC's tendency to butt into his adult children's lives.

The applause: Made me think about a world in turmoil in a way that might actually cause me to do some planning. Not too many books like that. I like that the author didn't pull any punches. There were some gritty scenes, which are good, while still being clean. Overall, I enjoyed the book and recommend anyone to read them.

After book one and two I could not wait for book three. I wish I had of read it slower; it is that good. These three books could not came at a better time in my life. It helped put things in perspective and to bring to light the most important thing in life is faith in Jesus and what is next in the prophetic calendar, the Rapture.

Great author. I just bought the beginning of sorrows.

Jesus Is Coming Back Sooner Than Later

I have enjoyed the last book of A Post-Apocalyptic Tale of the End Times. Just when it looks like it can't get any worse... Jesus comes riding in to start the Millenial time. If you are reading these books and haven't given your heart to Jesus... do it today! Jesus is coming back and each day we are one day closer.

The series is very interesting and you might lose track of time while reading.

A lot to think about, both lessons of scripture and preparedness.

The author’s commentary at the start of Volume One alone is worth the purchase price.

Volumes 2 & 3 seem less developed than Volume 1.

A good read and recommend.

Excellent writing! I had some trouble understanding the ending at first compared to his other books. There are more references to “relations” than one can usually expect from his books too, but the book was very moving nonetheless. Keep up the good work, Goodwin!

TV Series in the reading.

These three books read like a TV series. It would be great too. It is well written, easy to follow with your Bible, and enjoyable. Gives you the strength to examine yourself and your relationship to the One and only God.

I have read all his books but this series is my favorite! I can usually with books and movies figure out the ending long before I get to it. This one took me by surprise. I won’t say more because I don’t want to spoil it. This series is a masterpiece! A must read for anyone regardless of what you usually read!
