Loved her point that transgenderism in some senses is like being indoctrinated into a cult. Initiates must have a new identity, they as a person become difficult to recognize by friends and family, and they isolate from people who don’t conform to the cult’s perception of reality. (13-14)
Also, that the strong theological language in transgender stories is not coincidental. Words like purification, sin, reborn, and baptismal ritual point to the fact that transgender movement is not a sociopolitical or cultural battle. It’s a spiritual battle. (16)
