As a long time listener of Gretchen’s podcast, it was easy to read this book and hear her “voice” throughout. She left tons of meaty suggestions and actionable tidbits to strengthen novice and veteran teacher performance alike, and pushes readers to stop, reflect, and anchor real thoughts using scenarios and journal jots throughout the book. The content is aligned with the Teach Like a Champion (TLAC) framework for effective teaching, which allows this text to pair well as a refresher once teachers are familiar with some of the TLAC terminology.
This book got me excited to build relevant PD for my teachers and I can’t wait for them to read this in our Book Clubs!
