Keep on Loving You

Rate this book
Her brother's best the only man she's ever wanted. And the only one she can never have.

Andy Fisher is moving back to his hometown for his career. Not for his best friend’s little sister, no matter how hot the chemistry between them is. After all, he has a reputation – earned or not – that makes pursuing anything real with her completely off the table. Not only would he get his ass kicked, he’d risk losing the only family he’s ever known.

Despite her over protective older brothers standing in the way, Kat Carlson has always wanted what she can't have, and this time it's Andy. When Kat comes to him with the series of tasks her late father’s will stipulates she must do to receive her inheritance, Andy knows it’s a terrible idea to offer to help. But that doesn’t mean he won’t…

Working with Kat to complete her bucket list complicates their already messy situationship. And when the last task is done, their deal to part ways for good suddenly feels like the hardest task of all.

Such a good read! You can never go wrong with a book by Ms. Aitken and this is no exception. Sadly this is the final book in the Trickle Creek series and is just as excellent as the rest of the series. Kat was the baby of the family and her dad left her a special task to complete. The book is exciting, full of love and sex and secrets. Read and enjoy 😊

I was excited for Kat's story and couldn't wait. It was more than expected. Elena saved the best for last. Kat was always in love with her brother's best friend Andy. It's a magical story and a beautiful ending to the series

What a great conclusion to this awesome series. Kat finally got her instructions from the will and they were quite challenging. Of course Andy was there to help every step of the way. As she worked through her grief she maneuvered her way through the tasks, her Dad always with her in spirit. This was such an enjoyable series filled with some complicated, but loyal characters. Lots of late night reading, tears, a box of tissues, but I completed this wonderfully written series. Thanks Elena.❤️

Wow! Wow! Wow! I’ve read all of the books in the Trickle Creek Series, and the story of Kat and Andy was my absolute favorite. Elena Aitken outdid herself. Once I started the book Keep On Loving You, I couldn’t put it down. I laughed, got teary-eyed, and was loving every moment. It was like reading a story of people I know and see everyday.

Kat is the epitome of an independent woman. She is absolutely beautiful. She is very sure of herself. She has her own thriving business and home. She hates to ask for help, yet learns to accept it. But like every human, does she really want to take a chance on a love that she’s wanted forever, especially with her brother’s best friend?

Andy is the epitome of a man that most women would love to date. He’s incredibly handsome, has a career that he loves, protective of those he loves, a genuine sweetheart, and loves with his heart. Similarly to Kat, can he just really be a friend with benefits if his heart is pulling him for more? Can he trust the Carlson family (the only family he has left) to keep him around if he crosses the line?

This is the story of Kat and Andy. It’s filled with so much relatable concerns when it comes to life, love, family, and dysfunction. The matters of the heart is never linear, and Elena Aitken does a wonderful job highlighting the struggles and the victories of Kat and Andy as well as bringing the entire Carlson family full circle with their father’s will. It had just the right amount of pleasure and romance, the right amount of sass and respect, and the right amount of modern life and chivalry. It’s a true story of “boy meets girl, now what?!”.

Ultimately, I strongly recommend the book Keep On Loving You by Elena Aitken. A quick warning: it’s going to have you craving your own Andy (if you don’t have one already 😉).

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Carlson family is a very close knit one with overbearing and overprotective brothers who think they know best when it comes to their little sister Kat. But, the one person who knows her best but has missed out on letting her know is her father Michael Carlson. That’s why he leaves very special instructions in his will to each of his children in the form of a list : the to-do-kind as a condition prior to receiving their inheritance. Kat Carlson is the last child and her time is up. She’s a very independent and driven woman who has made it on her own for a few years now; she owns her own beauty salon and a workaholic with no significant other; he only exists in her heart ❤️! Andy Fisher, best friend to her brothers and family member has made her heart thump from the very first time she met him. Two years prior, they decided to misbehave with each other without going all the way but called it « a live in the right now moment »! A moment that has consumed both their minds and heart ever since it happened. A very emotional and heartfelt reading that will capture and overwhelm you from the very beginning ! Elena’s books are filled with strong felt emotions, strong characters that draw you in with compelling interactions you can’t stay away from. A very recommended reading for the romantic hearts that believe in the happily-everlasting! 5 stars 🌟 and more!

Great final chapter to this fabulous series
I have really enjoyed this series and loved this final chapter where youngest sibling Kat, gets her letter and task from her father, the final stipulation for the inheritance to be finalised. She’d been looking forward to her turn both to see what her father had in store for her, and hoping that she also got the by-product all her siblings did, and found love.
Ms. Aitken has very successfully woven together the achievement of a list of tasks designed to push this character out of her comfort zone, with a gorgeous love story between her and her brother Craig’s best mate, Andy, a man she’s crushed on since they were both teenagers, and produced an emotional and entertaining story.
While they get together early in the book (thus resulting in us getting lots of steamy scenes), they kid themselves for a long time about the depth of their feelings and of course keep whatever it is they’re doing from the family.
Their romance is very sweet, the completion of the list of tasks very emotional, and the outing of their relationship climatic and confrontational, everything you need in a well rounded story.
A fabulous end to this great series!

After Kat’s father passed away he left in his will that each of his children must do something he had assigned for each one within six months. Kat was his youngest child and the last to get her assignment. She was so hoping she would find love like her siblings. I thought it was funny how she thought like that since she had a crush on Andy, one of her brother’s best friend, since she was young. They had a secret as she had let him know what she wanted as a woman when she was in his city a couple of years ago that the two kept secret. Andy came to town and ended up having to stay with Kat. I am so glad he did as I loved watching the two grow closer and on their way of falling in love. Andy was also a good buffer for her between her over protective brothers. It was so sweet how Andy helped her with the items her father left for her to do. This was such a good love story. I will miss everyone as this is the last book in this series. I strongly encourage you to read the book.

Fabulous final story in this series. Kat is the last of the Carlson siblings to complete a challenge set by her deceased father in the terms of his will. She has a list of tasks to complete in 6 months. Kat had a crush on Andy, her brother's best friend, when she was growing up and they have history from 2 years earlier when she visited Andy in Vancouver. However, they both agreed at the time that nothing could happen between them again. But circumstances allow Andy to return to Trickle Creek and he agrees to help Kat with her tasks. That means both of them succumb to the ever present chemistry between them while trying to keep it secret from the rest of her family. Eventually their secret is discovered and family drama threatens any possible future for the two of them.

Kat has had a crush on Andy forever, but knows that her big brother, Craig, won't be happy about it. Andy also has feelings for Kat, but is very wary of showing anything to Craig, their family was where he spent most of his time growing up, and Craig had warned him against anything with his sister. Also, Andy, for whatever reason, has pretended that he's a player! Oh the tangled webs we weave!
Kat has now received her letter from her father, with a list of tasks she shows Andy, who is happy to help her with them. They are both hiding their feelings because they think the other doesn't have the same feelings! Can they sort it out? What about her family, all brothers and very protective, more so now their father has died.

Another great read in the series from Elena, is this the last one?

I loved Kat and Andy in Keep on Loving You by Elena Aitken, book five in her Trickle Creek series featuring the Carlson siblings; an emotional, heartwarming story, sizzling with chemistry as this series reaches the end. Kat, the youngest, finally got her instructions from the will and they were quite challenging. When her siblings all had their turns they all found love in addition to completing their tasks. Once Kat completes her list the last will and testament for the estate of her father will be read.

Kat has crushed on Andy Fisher, best friend of her brother Craig, for most of her life, and he is back in town. Two years prior, they decided to act on their attraction and chemistry with a heavy make-out session in his apartment in Vancouver; a moment that has consumed both their minds and heart ever since it happened. Then, and now, they decided to just be “happy for now”. As Kat, with Andy’s help, work through the tasks she needs to complete for her father, not acknowledging how strongly they feel for each other, and her brother’s need to protect, Andy and Kat have a rollercoaster ride before getting their forever love.. As Kat worked through her grief she maneuvered her way through the tasks, her Dad always with her in spirit. A lovely and touching conclusion to this much loved series; one filled with family, heart and new beginnings.

Keep on Loving You is book 5 in the Trickle Creek series by Elena Aitken and the final book in the series!

Up last is Kat and Andy’s story, his best friend’s baby sister who they each have crushed on since their teen years. With the final sibling reading of her father’s will, she must work through her grief, understand the “to do list “ he wrote, trying to keep her and Andy’s relationship a secret and more…what a great way to end this series and finding the HEA they all deserved!

Fun, fast-paced story that brings a close to the Carlson family saga involving letters from their recently deceased father outlining requirements that had to be fulfilled before their inheritances would be distributed.

Kat is the youngest and last sibling to receive her letter outlining what her late father requires her to do. At the same time, one of her brother’s best friends, Andy, has returned to Trickle Creek. For Kat, Andy is the one man she’s always wanted but she could never have.

When Andy offers to help Kat complete the list of tasks outlined in Kat’s letter from her dad, well…you’ll have to read the story to find out what happens!

This book is the last of the Trickle Creek series. It can stand alone and has a HEA. Loved the main characters as well as seeing characters from the previous books. This small town romance was the best! The author pulls you right into the story that you lose track of time. Kat is the youngest in the family and this book centers on her as well as the list her deceased father has left her to complete. Her siblings have all had their turns in which the Aldo found love. This is the last thing to be completed before the last will and testament is read for the estate of her father. Kat has always has a crush on her older brother’s best friend since they were teenagers. Now, Andy is back in town for a visit. What she doesn’t realize is that Andy can’t stop thinking about the time they spent together in his apartment in Vancouver. There they decided on “ happy for now”. As they go through not knowing how strongly they feel for each other, to the tasks she needs to complete for her father, and her family’s need to protect, Andy and Kat have a wild ride till the end of the book. I couldn’t put the book down!

I’ve loved the Trickle Creek series and Andy and Kat’s story was no exception. Kat and Andy have known each other for years and fought their attraction to each other because Kat’s brother is Andy’s best friend. They are just too good together and I really wanted to see them get their HEA. Of course with Kat being given some interesting tasks to complete made things all the more interesting.

I loved this book! I’ve enjoyed most every book by Elena Aitken that I’ve read over the years, but I adore this trope.

Kat is the baby sister who is still not seen as an adult by her older brothers and she definitely should not be in a relationship with anyone - especially NOT their “like-a-brother” Andy! That’s just not possible because Andy may be like family but he’s NOT good enough for their little sister!

So juicy and secretive- I loved it!

I knew Kat’s story was going to be emotional but it was definitely more than I expected. Kat and Andy were so good together that I could barely handle it.

The Carilsons have been such a great family to read about. I was so invested in this whole family and I’m sad to be letting them go. Hopefully they’ll pop up again :)

Almost two years have gone by since the Carlson siblings lost their father. A father that left a will with specific stipulations and directions unique to each of his children. Stipulations that if not met, meant they would lose their fortune . Though at first the previous four siblings were not happy with the instructions dictated by their father, in the end , they found the love of their lives.
Now the youngest, Kat, is getting her letter. One she’s been anxiously waiting for. But before she does, Andy Fisher, best friend to her brother Craig and the same boy, now man, Kat has crushed for most of her life, is back in town. Unbeknown to her family, they had a one time “thing” a while and never saw each other again.
Now that he’s back in town and Kat gets her “list” Andy offers to support her as she achieves each of the items.
Meanwhile, Kat suggests that they should get involved “for the moment”. Otherwise it would complicate things with her family and his relationship with them.
What neither expected was that the feelings they secretly had for each other would intensifies.
Needless to say , this complicates their relationship and that of the family.
In the end, will they get together or will the past and Kat’s family get in their way?
A lovely and touching conclusion to this much loved series. One filled with family, heart and new beginnings.

Kat is the last of the siblings to hear what she needs to do in order to gain her share of inheritance. Her father's stipulations in his need to be carried out fully, and hers is different..a list of things she must complete for self development.
Andy, long term friend of the family offers to assist and support her in achieving the goals. A man with whom she has had a fling with and will continue under the guise of 'happy for now' moment.
They both recognise that with Kat being the baby of the family, she is coddled and protected, sometimes regarded as a child. However, fearing how her family would take to her being in a relationship with Andy, she tends at times to act like a recalcient child. I did not like her attitude; professes to be independent and strong then behaves impudent in throwing a bit of a tantrum. I think she was selfish and self indulgent, keeping Andy at arms length then reeling him in. He was also frustrating in refusing to acknowledge his feelings and emotions. The brother/best friend scenario is the reasoning behind keeping their relationship secret which also exacerbates the situation.
It all works out in the end, but is a bit like wading through sludge before it does, as the weight of keeping secrets weighs them down..

All Good Things

As an ARC reader, this is my honest opinion. Sadly, all good things come to an end. "Keep On Loving You" is the last in the series. And WOW, what a finish! Kat and Andy's story really started when they were kids. At some point they started to realize there was more to their feelings, but didn't want to cross the line for her siblings saw Andy as a brother and he was best friends with her youngest brother. After Kat and her siblings father passed away, he wrote a letter to each and they received it with Dad's requests. Each had a turn, and Kat being the youngest of all went last. Each followed through with their dad's request and fell in love while doing it. So while Andy helped Kat with her list they also had an amazing passionate journey to gaining their beginning of a happy ever after. No cheating or cliffhanger. This can be read as a standalone, but so much better if read in order. Enjoy 🤓

Kat Carlson's dad put stipulations on his children's inheritance. As the youngest, she is the last to receive the details. Shortly before she does, Andy Fisher, a continuing childhood crush, returns. Thus, he pledges to help her complete the bucket list of tasks.

This Billionaire Romance is striking. The focus of this story is a combination of deliberate miscommunication, worry over self-fulfilling prophecy, and outdated big-brother protection. The biggest issue they face is the innate belief they can't have what they want, each other; her meddlesome siblings would stand in their way. Courage to confront self and family is frequently less than to challenge the environment. Overall, this is a superb story.

Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Romantic. Steamy. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

I have been waiting for Kat Carlson’s story as she is the last sibling with a list of requirements from her father’s will and have loved her character from the start. She’s had a crush on her brother’s best friend –he’s like a member of her family – but her feelings have been deep, and getting stronger, since she was young and first met him. And Andy has recently realized he now feels he same way. Kitty Kat, as he calls her, is all grown up and is perfect for him!

Andy helps Kat with her will ‘tasks’ and there’s a little intrigue, a little suspense...a little family drama. Okay, more than a bit of drama but reading the road these two have had to tread was sweet, sometimes sad, and sometimes frustrating. Maybe even a little scary. But in the end, these two figure it out! Great read and end of this family’s long road after their father’s passing. Loved it.

Having read all of the Trickle Creek books by Elena Aitken, I was waiting to read about Kat and Andy!! With the youngest of the Carlson siblings getting her turn at her “tasks,” the story was so unexpected as her tasks were unique. Her dad knew Kat so well, her tasks were well thought out to help her move along.

And then there is Andy. Who has not been honest about his feelings and goes along with the arrangement. The characters for both Kat and Andy are very well developed. Their chemistry is believe-able and the situations realistic.

I like that the stories are stand alone even when they are part of a series. Each one is story by itself and when we meet characters who featured in other books, we are not left guessing. Plus, they feel like they are people you could really really know. It has an HEA too! I just wish there was more of Trickle Creek!

Keep on Loving You is the 5th and final book in the Trickle Creek series about the Carlson siblings. While we catch up with all the couples from previous books, Kat and Andy's story can easily be read as a standalone. It's a very emotional read with passages that had me in tears a time or two while other times I wanted to throttle someone! Kat's task to fulfill to gain her father's legacy is very different from all the others, but leads to a beautiful journey of discovery and with the addition of Andy, her brother's best friend, to steamy sexy times and a wonderful HEA for them both and the whole Carlson clan.
I was fortunate to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

Kat’s turn. The final installment of the Carlson family saga. A tale that started just after the death of their father at least two years ago. The painful stipulation each sibling had to complete or risk losing the family’s inheritance for all. As anxious as the youngest Kat has been to have it be her turn, that feeling doesn’t last. Kat is no exception. As with the recast, her stipulation is not like any that has come before. So the clock is set, in six months they will all finally hear the will, if Kat can finish in time. There is more mystery. There are bigger family dinners. Moving isn’t out of the question, even if the question was never asked. Protection is overrated and completely appreciated. So sad to see this series end but so glad we can still go to Trickle Creek.

I have really enjoyed this series. Kat was the last one to find out what her father's conditions were to have everyone inherit after his death. Her brothers had all passed their requests and now it's her turn. The meeting gets put off a little as her brother gets sick and then she breaks her wrist. She goes biking with Andy (her brother's best friend) and someone she has had a crush on for years. But he sees that she has grown up, but the bro code means he can't touch. Well, that happens anyway, plus he helps her with the requirements her dad left. I loved their story and how well it worked out

To fulfill the terms of their father's will, each Carlson sibling has 6 months to perform tasks their father specified for them. And each sibling has just happened to find love along the way. And finally in the 5th and final book in the Trickle Creek series, it is Kat's turn!

Kat and Andy have secretly loved each other for years. But neither acknowledge their feelings because Andy is best friends with Kat's older brothers. But when Andy comes back to town and stays with Kat, they can't resist each other any more. Get ready for lots of angst. The perfect end to a great series.

What a great end to this series with Andy and Kat. Kat being the baby in the family was the last sibling to get their will task. I like the different things she had to do and how it showed her strength. Also such a moving part on her final task as she read her dads final letter. A beautiful story and series.

I'm so enjoying this series and all the characters of Trickle Creek. It's been great getting to know all the Carlson siblings. I loved Kat and Andy’s story. These two had a connection that had built over the years and a chemistry that couldn't be denied but it was watching them fall hard for each other that really makes the book. A captivating read that I didn't want to put down.
