Tank is often misunderstood due to the image he portrays, which contrasts sharply with his private love life. However, when his work intrudes into his personal life, his secrets are exposed. Determined to protect the man he loves, Tank puts everything on the line, using all his skills to ensure his safety, no matter the cost.
Wow this was an explosive end to the series as Tank had to reveal all of his secrets with his team and finally able to be with the man he loves. Many twists and turns as the team chased down the last of the Guilded Ones who was far closer to home than anyone realised. The ending was a little disappointing as I felt that Tank should have had a wedding not an engagement. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
I’ve been waiting for this book! And I did really enjoy it, especially finally seeing the Guilded Ones come to an end, and how it all tied in with Tank’s past, BUT…
For all of the 20 years of hiding their relationship and never being out to the world, Chance is terrified of how his powerful father will react, and then he comes out and it’s a complete non-issue. So for 20 years, they could’ve been together properly and that’s not addressed at all. Felt like there should’ve been higher stakes for a hidden relationship of THAT long. For that reason, I took off a star because it was completely unrealistic.
At the beginning of this story I wasn't sure I would like it but I am glad that I did continue and ended up loving it. It was a complicated story and the villains turned out to be the terrible and their reason for revenge was very odd. I loved meeting Kendall at the end and hope there will be more stories about everyone.
There were too many different POV. Cohen was annoying to the point I wanted to throw my phone.
There was such a good premise to build the relationship instead we jumped “decades” later where we have no knowledge how Tank and Chance got to where they are.
An overall terrible read with so many “chances” of getting it right but missed them all.
We finally learn Tanks secrets…most of them! The guys really needed the shake up with everything they went through. But, dang were the bad guys just so…smart, yet stupid!!!
This one got me. I was caught up in the case as well as the romance. But now there’s a whole bunch of guys I need to know more about. Kendall and his friends top the list.
DNF @ 30% — I should’ve known to not jump into this series, especially so far into it. I liked the cameos of Tank in the Mafia Daddies series so I tried and couldn’t connect to them
