Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.
I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes. I am so pleased that you stopped by my page! Please feel free to follow or contact me at the following pages -
I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters 🥲 This was an amazing trilogy, and wow, this final book barely gave you time to catch your breath between all the action!! Fated mates will always be one of my all time favorite tropes!!
I hate when authors just like drag on fighting then take a 5 page break for the main mcs to fuck then go back to fighting over and over and call it a book.
Also I find it so weird when people go spend the night at someone else’s house and have sex??? Like is that not weird???? You don’t think it’s weird????
This is it, the conclusion to Jen Grey's The Forbidden Mate Trilogy and it was awesome. I love that Skylar is leaning into her power and has taken more of a leadership role. Raffe is finally the mate I always wished him to be and Keith has finally gotten his crap together, the teasing between him and Sky is great. There were even more character developments some expected and some not so much. As well as a swell of new and exciting characters that help pull the story together.
My questions have been answered about Sky's past and a detailed history of the arcane-born was revealed. I didn't realize that everything was leading back to this, it was a shock but it all made sense. This type of story was a first for Jen and I really enjoyed it. From the start, the story was fast-paced, a little emotional, and had a lot of magical elements that I really enjoyed.
Wolf Touched is the amazing conclusion to the series. Skylar's story took many unexpected turns and always kept me on my toes, it was a joy to read and this final book closed her story perfectly. Time for this adventure to end but Jen already has another in the works.
Finally getting around to writing the review for the last book of this series. It’s going to be brief, and I’m one of those readers who can only remember how they felt while reading rather than intricate details 🙈
It was a satisfying conclusion to the series; however, it didn’t quite hit me like the other two books did. It was like a warm feeling reading about the characters I’ve loved being back in action.
The final book gave us some answers we’ve been wondering, but it did leave me with some lingering questions.
The story is jam-packed with action, with twists and turns flying straight at us. Still capturing those tender moments for our characters, it’s a testament to Jen L. Grey that she can balance such intense action with heartwarming interactions.
It is a satisfying end for fans of the series, and if you are into shifter books, I would 100% recommend this series. It has to be read in order and not as a standalone ♥️
This was an amazing conclusion to this trilogy. It picks up right where it left off, was action packed with so many twists and turns I never expected.
I really enjoyed the banter between all the characters and I giggled every time Keith opened his mouth. They all go through so much in this book but they stick together and support each other no matter what came their way and I loved this. I had my questions answered about Skylar’s arcane born powers and learned the history of the supernaturals. Skylar’s and Raffe’s chemistry was 😙🤌🏻
Raffe and Skylar’s story is one of Jen’s best! Each book got better and better. I couldn’t put this one down! This book was an emotional ride! Jen throws in some heavy lessons not just for the characters in the book but for the real world.
Raffe, Skylar, their growing pack, and friends must navigate to figure out who is really friend or foe. Where to go that is safe, and I don’t want to spoil anything but some big obstacles!
There was just as many laugh out loud moments as there are moments you want to trow your phone/book, or bite all your nails off due to the anxiety you are feeling.
This book moves nonstop. When it comes to the end I won’t lie I wanted more! However, that’s nothing new I always want more story. Jen definitely does not disappoint! You don’t want to miss this trilogy!
I just, really really struggled with this book. The first 2 in the series I really didn’t mind but this book was a slog to get through, I didn’t want to finish it and nearly didn’t. I had to hype myself up to read it and it just didn’t feel like an enjoyable experience
It felt like the “fated mates” bonds just started popping up everywhere, and I get it for interspecies relationships or whatever but I think there was like 4 new bonds this book?
It also pisses me off that Raffes dad just came to save the day and the last minute like he tried to get in touch with you and could have stopped all that nonsense if you weren’t being so stubborn!!
The fight scenes also really pissed me off like all of a sudden she could do all these things after like 2 “training” sessions
Also Raffes name just didn’t sound right in my head and has annoyed me all series but I can get over that 😂😂

I think I’m DNF’ing this one 😫 I liked the first 2… they’re easy to follow without too much fantasy world building. But, 50% through the last book in the series and now all the characters suddenly find their mates within a couple of days of each other? Whaaaat? That was so dumb that it ruined the book 😫 and as much as I love Raffe & Skylar…this trilogy should’ve been a duology. The third book is super repetitive.
On the run with no safe place in sight. With all that had transpired, Raffe and Skylar decided Olivia would continue to travel with them until they were given more answers. After reaching the pack’s home ground, Raffe and the others are informed that under King Jovian’s orders they may stay but Skylar and Olivia weren’t welcome. However, the elders were in for a surprise. Raffe denies father, breaking from the pack. While in turn Keith, Adam and Josie leave the pack and accept Raffe as their new alpha, in the face of their father’s displeasure and anger. Skylar struggles to get her wolf to conform. However, alongside her strength, Skylar had wisdom, aware that others would follow Raffe much quicker. In the end she managed to pull her wolf in line. He in turn quietly admits to her strength while whispering he would have given in to her. Time is short, danger is hunting them; they need to move now.
The cabin they rented was hours away from the pack’s grounds, so hopes were high those chasing them wouldn’t speedily find them. Nonetheless, within hours the cabin is set on fire. Battling the burning building, attacked by their former pack members and witches, during the fight Raffe is dealt a fatal wound. Sirens sounding too close, means humans are too close by. Once again, they must retreat and disappear. Raffe would die if they couldn’t find a doctor and a cure for the reason he couldn’t stop bleeding. Olivia once again offers the sanctity of her home. She promises it is a place shielded and Dru, her husband, is a doctor. Raffe is close to death by the time they finally reach their destination. Only to be confronted by several angry witches. It appears the coven is in hiding and have been keeping watch over Olivia and her family for years. It will take the help of Dru and knowledge only the witches can offer to save Raffe. It’s here they will learn of Skylar’s history and more about the first arcane born along with the rest of the story about what really took place all those centuries ago.
Danger comes for them wherever they go. The information the witches offer them shows the evil intent behind Octavia, her coven and the secret society, how they had twisted and distorted the history of the first arcane-born for their own gain. Knowing of Skylar’s abilities and lack of knowledge about her magic gave them a means to try to control her. Once again time was no a friend. So even learning of the traitor in the wolf pack who had helped to spread fear and distrust among other supernaturals, couldn’t stop the battle when the Eastern Wolves and witches came for them; believing Skylar, Raffe and those who side with them, would gain the power to destroy and finally control them. So much is hidden behind doors, masked in half-truths, fueled by greed and revenge. But how do you get those fighting to protect their own people and way of life to stop and listen?
This final episode of the trilogy that began with ‘Wolf Mate.” It hit the ground running and never slowed down. The layers in this had me peeling the story away a bit at a time, not quite sure what I would find under the next layer, but I loved it. I lamented that some characters perished, gleefully enjoyed the death of others, got wrapped up in the players I had grown to care about, sucked up the suspense, cringed in times of danger, delighted in the spicy romance as it unfolded for several couples and felt part of the gang that rallied around Raffe and Sky. If you enjoy paranormal romance with magic filling the air, danger around every curve, cloaked enemies in the midst, death on the wind, and a heathy dose of angst, I highly recommend this trilogy. While I anxiously await the next series of tales that Jen L. Grey will come up with. And luckily the wait is to be short lived.
The conclusion of The Forbidden Mate trilogy has a lot of twists and turns. Sky and Raffe are stopped by a woman that neither of them knows. But she is not deterred. The woman's name is Octavia and knows about arcane-born. She is intent on protecting Sky but when Octavia realizes Skyler has a pack, she tries to leave. Raffe doesn't let her and the whole crew get ready to leave the woods to the dorms. Josie is out of it because of the amount of blood she gave Dave and it doesn't seem to have hurt Dave. As the book progresses, we learn more about why Josie's blood doesn't affect Dave, why Slade wants to be close to Sky, and the couple's relationship with King Jovian. So much comes to light through this book.
I couldn't get enough. Jen added such a different twist to the fated mates in this one. I loved it! Interspecies Fated Mates was such an amazing addition. I ate it up. The depth of the world she created with Sky's past was fantastic. I am impressed with how Sky's powers work. Also, I loved that all the friend characters have Fated Mates. My heart soared when we met all the mates and learned that some were across species. Having humans, vampires, shifters, and witches mating with each other was crazy interesting! She did it again!

The epic conclusion to Skylar and Raffe’s story has arrived! Picking up from where it left off, Skylar meets someone very unexpected. She will finally get answers she has always wanted. Why did her birth parents give her up? And what more is there to being arcane born? In this book, everyone will have to work together to defeat the Veiled Circle. Skylar will have to learn to control her abilities once and for all. It’s now or never. Skylar and Raffe have come to far in this relationship and have really grown. They aren’t the same people they were when they met. Plus, all their friends are getting a chance to find their mate and take a stand for what they believe is right. Plenty of action, twists and turns, and of course romance! You really don’t want to miss this epic conclusion.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The conclusion to Skylar and Raffe’s story was quite a ride. We pick up right where we left off in Wolf Bitten with Skylar getting an answer to her question from the end of Wolf Bitten. In this story, Skylar meets some unexpected, new people and gets answers to questions she’s always had about her past. Throughout the story more supernaturals and allies are added to their group, their pack. Together they must work together to defeat the Veiled Circle. Skylar and Raffe have grown so much, alone with their pack. I love that this wasn’t just a conclusion to Skylar and Raffe but we also got to see others in the pack follow the path meant for them. This story is full of action, emotions, twists and turns, spice, and my personal favorite: the fun banter between characters. You don’t want to miss out on the conclusion to the Forbidden Mate trilogy!
XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. Skylar is running for her life. She just wants one night of sleep without being attacked. Raffe had just gotten her home from her latest kidnapping when they are frantically summoned to speak to Dave. Then all heck breaks loose. Raffe, Lucy, Adam, Keith, and Josie leave their childhood pack and form a new one with Skylar. They, along with Octavia (a human) and Dave (a vampire) run. They don’t get far. They run again. This time they run to the right place. Sort of. It’s a bumpy road. Lots of battles. Never a calm moment and the battles build on each other. What they find along the way are alliances they never dreamed of. What they end up with after the final battle is a giant mess. Hope they have a big enough broom.
Wolf Touched is the epic conclusion in the Forbidden Mate Trilogy. It is a must to read this series in order because where one book ends the next book immediately begins.
Raffe and Skylar finally are able to complete their fated mate bond only to have enemies coming from everywhere to destroy them. Read to find out what happens when Raffe and Skylar, with the help of family and friends, get to the bottom of what it means to be Arcane born while fighting to protect those they love.
Expect there to be action, enemies, betrayal, answers, and fated mates.
I received an ARC for this book. What a conclusion for this series. Skylar has to learn how to control her powers. She learns a lot about her powers and her ancestors. She makes some new alliances and does everything she can to protect Raafe. Raafe has to do one of the hardest things to protect Skylar. She continually puts herself in danger, but he has to trust her. Their relationship grows, and they protect each other. There are a lot of questions answered in this book, and it wraps up the series nicely. I loved this world!
Skylar, Raffe, and the rest are back and the more lies they are told, with each page more of the truth comes out. As the story unfolds a new bond is made and more things start to come together. She finds out about he past, her real parents, and so much more. This book was epic and gives you everything and by the end you won't want it to end. It had magic, emotions, action, suspense, and a battle of epic proportions. An amazing read that once you read it you won't be disappointed. I so can't wait to read what she had next.
I am such a huge Jen L. Grey fan. I love her books. She can really give you an amazing paranormal romance. This series was another wonderful adventure I was so glad to be a part of. I love Raffe and Skylar. I loved them so much!! It was a perfect ending to a wonderful trilogy. I love the adventure and the excitement, the love. It's fated mates!!! I love fated mates. I love how they can talk to each other in their minds. There are so many twists and turns. You never know what lies ahead in Jens' books. And I love that.
I managed to finish the series but it was begrudgingly… same issues as the previous books with the writing style and pacing being a bit all over the place. Also she threw in a bunch of fated bonds at the last second and it felt like everyone was just popping up fated which kind of took the “special” edge from it. I think the concept was great but the execution was… less than ideal. I also hated the amount of times the main character complained she was out of power and then randomly found power minimum of 3-4 times per battle 🤧🤧🤧

You have to read Wolf Mate and Wolf Bitten before this book. Huge props to Jen L Grey. I loved this series so much! This last book was so amazing and touching. I loved the ending a blended family is always beautiful. Lots of battles going on in this book. But will always love how bada** Skylar is and the support she has from her family and friends. They literally save each other’s lives multiple times. But the end of that last war I wasn’t expecting that person to show up and help save the day. I just loved this series so freaking much. Thank you for writing it!!
I have absolutely loved this trilogy. It kept me wanting more. I do have one complaint. Throughout the story, several new relationships are formed. In the last book bits and pieces of those relationships, and there are quite a few, were all crammed in to keep it at three books. I’m ok with a good cliffhanger as long as long as there is hope of more books coming to explore the other characters, having incomplete stories about the supporting characters love and struggles leave me very frustrated.
This final book in the series was pretty good, and I really enjoyed the final ending. There were a lot of traitors who completely betrayed the king, and one of them was his second in command, Aldric. Who was Josie’s father. Anyway, these traitors were everywhere and had infiltrated the supernatural community.
This was a really good ending to the series and I have enjoyed this author immensely. I’ll be looking for her work…
I absolutely loved this series, I’m not ready to say goodbye! The action and the mystery thrown in spice! This is probably my favorite shifter romance! Damn it if that wasn’t the most beautiful ending! “There was no way I was pissing your dad off again and not asking his permission first. Not when he just started liking me.”-Raffe
If you’re looking for a shifter romance that has spice, mystery about who’s who and what they are really about, and action with deadly battles for a change in lifestyle and authority. This is your series!
This one will live rent free in my brain for a while!
I absolutely loved this trilogy. I read all three books in five days. I laughed and smiled throughout the books. I loved all the references toward Disney princesses with the animals and the silly banter back and forth between Keith. I especially loved the name of the Cat Keith.
I was so happy to reach the conclusion of the trilogy and its ending with everyone alive and well. I wish there was one more book though.
Not a lot going on nor resolving in the last book. There are still so many open questions.
Why isnt she talking to Cat-Keith? What happened to the other members of the circle? How was any of that taken care of? How are things between her two pair of parents? ….
Pretty annoying that it just stopped in the middle of the story. Feels like the author took the essy way out. Making her unvoncious to not have to talk about it.

I absolutely loved all 3 stories. I loved the characters and storyline so much. Sky, Raffe, Adam, Sedona, Keith, Stephanie, Lucy, Fane, Josie, Dave, Octavia and Dru were fantastic characters. Everything led up to this finale and it didn’t disappoint. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊
I’m sure many people will love it… but this one seemed rushed and not as enjoyable as the other books… it’s like it went from really being able to put oneself in the character’s shoes, to a feel of a 3rd person telling a story even though that wasn’t the case. It would not be a repeat.
I've been in a mood for fated mates, and this series didn't disappoint. So many unexpected twists and turns that happened in this book. Whew!! The author does a great job of weaving some tender moments throughout this jam packed action read. Skylar and Raffe are an amazing couple and together they do fantastic. I really enjoyed the epilogue. So sweet!
