I button my shirt
and my coat up too,
and I think of the work
that buttons do.

In this adorable, brightly colored board book, a little girl discovers the magic of buttons. From buttons at home to buttons at school, kids will see buttons in new and fun-loving ways as they learn about the world. And at the end, children will be delighted to find one very special button that all children have and love—their belly buttons!

A young girl contemplates all the different buttons there are in life. Elevator buttons, doorbell buttons, and buttons to fasten our clothes. Buttons on planes and tractors that make engines go, buttons that turn on computers, and buttons that turn on lights. But there is one button that is all her own... her bellybutton!

This board book is so cute! I admit that I read it out loud with funny voices for all the different buttons, and a little "boop" for the belly button at the end. haha!
I loved the sweet illustrations and the cartoony style of the artwork. So adorable!

Stir Your Child’s Imagination

If you stop to think about it, buttons are everywhere. Kalli Dakos gives you the ability to entertain your child with BUTTONS. Using simple sentences and rhymes combined with active words, BUTTONS will provide children with hours of entertainment. Children will want to read this book over and over.

There are many different types of buttons on clothing, computers, planes and trains. As Dakos says, “There are buttons in every school and shop. Buttons to go and buttons to stop.” BUTTONS also includes active and vivid illustrations from Nichola Cowdery. Parents can make sounds and push buttons on the illustrations as they read the book.
I enjoyed BUTTONS and I recommend it for repeat reading for any child.
