3.75stars--IN TOO DEEP is the first instalment in JA Collard’s contemporary, adult RBMC: TORONTO dark, MC romance set in the multi-authored RBMC world. This is Canadian soldier Cole Brennan aka Seth Hawkins, and RBMC princess Belle’s story line.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers. This book is a Novella and part 1 of a duet. Book 2 will be released in September 2025 as part of the RBMC 7th run.
Told from dual first person perspectives ( Cole/Seth and Belle) IN TOO DEEP follows the introduction of Seth Hawkins to the RBMC: Toronto. Cole Brennan has returned from assignment in Afghanistan where his team was ambushed, leaving Keith, his best friend dead. Upon his return home, Keith’s widow, RCMP Officer Theresa approaches Cole about going undercover in an effort to infiltrate the RBMC: Toronto Chapter, an undercover assignment as Seth Hawkins. All goes according to plan until the unthinkable happens, just ours into his introductory operation.
The world building follows Cole as he embarks on a new path as Seth Hawkins, mechanic to the RBMC: Toronto, but a man whose mission it is to uncover the truth. As Seth, Cole never expected to get up close and personal with the club president’s daughter Belle, a position that has placed him in the direct line of fire.
The relationship between Belle and Seth is just beginning but Seth has been warned to keep away, in the face of his own demise. There are no $ex scenes, just a few stolen kisses in the dark.
We are introduced to Keith’s widow and RCMP officer Theresa, her son Harry; RCMP agents Ben and Tyler aka Jack, as well as several members of the RBMC Toronto including prez Vinney, VP Mikki, and Shooter.
IN TOO DEEP is a novella length story of secrets, lies and betrayal, power and control, mayhem and madness. The premise is fast paced,intriguing and entertaining, introducing some of the players and history of the RBMC: Toronto. IN TOO DEEP ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned

This is the first book in a new series, and this is Cole / Seth and Belle’s story.
After the death of Cole’s best friend, he kept his promise to look after his wife Theres and son Henry. Theresa is an FBI agent and she aske Cole to go undercover in an MC to bring down one of the most notorious clubs. Belle is the spoiled, hard headed, MC princess, and from the moment they meet there is an attraction, but what will happen to him if his secret is revealed?
This is a well written story which is fast paced, with family, friendships, emotions, lies, secrets, intrigue, danger, suspense, betrayal, making choices, determination, and love, which leads to an enjoyable and captivating page turner, which ends in a cliffhanger.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

First off, a little warning. This story did not end here. The story continuation will not come until 2025. Now, I enjoyed this story. Cole needed to go undercover as Seth. He encountered Belle, the MC princess. Their attraction should not be happening. While protecting Belle, Cole got injured, and his secret was about to come out. Now I need to wait until 2025 to see how it all will turn out. I loved both Cole and Belle, and hope for the best.

Cole / Seth
Cole is asked to go undercover as Seth when a friend needs help cracking a case. He encountered Belle, the MC princess and their attraction is undeniable. When Cole gets injured, and his secret is exposed to Belle who threatens to expose him. This story doesn't end there, but on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next.

So this book was pretty ok. I have to admit it’s not got as much action as you are used to with RBMC but it is still pretty good. I am very interested in seeing the next book. I will say I was impressed with how this chapter handled things in the beginning but I really did enjoy the book.

I get the beginning but this doesn't have much action and it don't quite make sense in sum spots. It feels unfinished 2 me. I'm really disappointed
