I'm Knot an Omega

Rate this book
I’m not an Omega.

At least that’s what my documents say

and I’m happy for it to stay that way.

So what if my designation changed in college?

I’m not hurting anyone just trying to live my life.

I even managed to finish my college degree and I’m about to start my first job in the world. Kane Entertainment is huge and it will give me a chance to get my foot in the door. As my luck would have it though my interview changed and now I’m the assistant to Mr. Kane himself. A sexy Alpha who is a shark in the boardroom but a sloth when no one is looking.

My life is about to turn into a hurricane thanks to that man.

From accidental touches to a rogue heat and a future I didn’t see coming.

Is this the universe's way of paying me back for lying all this time?

The ups and downs of this new life are rocky at best but I can’t say that I hate it…

This is an MM Omegaverse that is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 due to sexual situations and language. This series will also contain MPreg meaning the male Omegas get pregant and have babies.

I love a fun forbidden romance and this has a great omegaverse twist to spice things up. Zereph and Laxus are the perfect pair who have such a strong connection that I was anxiously waiting for their dynamic to evolve and change. I love how quickly everything heated between the two while they navigated their unorthodox situation. Overall this is an amazing story that I could not get enough of with a great cast of characters. I cannot wait for the next entry and to see what happens.

Sweet story

I'll start with the good stuff - strong characterisation and a sweet story. I liked both MCs and the side characters. Lazy Luxen with his teasing nature and love of naps and prickly omega in hiding Zereph made a great couple.
Didn't love a lot of the dialogue. Particularly Luxen telling Oliver (his much younger brother) that he'll have to take his lashings. That happened near the start and stuck with me throughout. The general way of talking the characters had was stilted but I got used to it. I didn't love Jill being turned into the evil ex but I get the story needed drama.
However, those issues aside, I did enjoy the story and I'd love to see what Maken says to Zereph and have Oliver get his man

I usually have pretty low standards when I read KU books. Even if I think they’re not very good, I usually finish them anyway. But these people just don’t act like people, and I keep thinking to myself “That word doesn’t mean what you think it means.”

At one point a character says something like “I donned a corner of the room.” I couldn’t even begin to figure out what the author thought “donned” meant.

But I kept reading. Low standards!

And then we got to the hospital scene. Absolutely no one involved in that scene, from those injured, to those accompanying them, to those treating them, behaved like recognizable humans.

And that’s when I had to stop.

I’m a doctor. I’m used to suspending disbelief for any scene set in a medical context. But that’s for things like “that’s not how emergency rooms work,” or “the doctor who saw you in the emergency room wouldn’t be doing your surgery.” Not for “that’s not how humans act.”

So why 2 stars, not 1? Well, the premise had promise, although it didn’t deliver, and I was thoroughly amused by the toddler who started calling one of the MCs “Mommy” immediately and refused to stop.

Like I said, low standards. But despite the hurdle being quite close to the floor, this one failed to make it over.

The premise of this one is cute, and it's a quick and light read. I'm all about omegaverse and mpreg, so I was thrilled with the basis. If you're looking for something quick and predictable, this one will do it. The pacing of the story is a bit rough, imo. We skim over a lot of things that I think would have had more impact on the page, but were handled with a single line after a time gap. The smut was underdeveloped, and happened so fast that it barely feels like it happened in the book. But ultimately, I finished it in a day, so it was quick.

The characterizations were a bit all over the place, IMO. Especially Laxus.

There was also a significant amount of internalized misogyny in this book, which is a common issue with Omegaverse books in general. But this one has some unique issues,

Ignoring all of that, or understanding that its a KU book on MM omegaverse, it wasn't awful. 2* feels right. I don't regret reading it, probably won't reread it, probably won't read the sequel.

2.5 Stars

I almost didn't read this book. The amount of typos and lack of punctuation in the little welcome letter at the beginning were SO distracting.

This may sound harsh and some people do look down on them but it's mostly for their safety as they can because vulnerable when in heat.

It's basically another term for scent they have a district smell but the difference is that it can be released by the Alpha or Omega and affect those around them.

Three paragraphs into the book and I'm trying to make sense of "they can because vulnerable." It took me a few readings to come up with "they can become vulnerable." Changing "district smell" to "distinct smell" was an easier substitution for my brain to make.

I decided to give the first chapter a try with the thought that I would put the book down if the typos continued. Fortunately the rest of the book wasn't as bad, which makes me think the welcome letter was slapped on as an afterthought and didn't have the same editing as the rest of the book. There were still typos and misspellings, but not as many as in the welcome letter. Punctuation also continued to be a problem. The author swung from using multiple unnecessary semicolons in a single sentence to not using any commas in a run-on sentence that listed items.

Where did the names come from? Zereph, Laxus, and Maken alongside Jill and Oliver. A weird mix.

It was a cute, predictable story. But the story was not intriguing enough for me to want to read the next one in the series.

Actual: 4.5⭐️

This is a fantastic MM omegaverse! I could not stop reading this! I pretty much started it very late at night and read into the very early morning hours because I could not get enough of Zereph and Laxus. You can sense the chemistry right away and the fast burn development between the two was what kept me going. I absolutely loved the way Zereph handles this big wig alpha. He’s not super growly but he does have moments. Nobody touches what’s his.
Zereph is a cute omega who just got hired at big name company as an assistant to the very handsome Laxus Kane. Workplace omegaverse romance? Absolutely. Yes please! Super fun read, hilarious moments and banter. And I absolutely loved Oliver, Laxus’s younger brother and I cannot wait for his story.

loved it

It’s a nice book in the omegaverse series. There’s a lot of heat. My only one issue with the book is that there just wasn’t enough romance in the book. A lot of insta love. I just wanted more moments of just Laxus and Zereph. They never even got to go on a date in the whole book we deserve that much. I also think there could’ve been confliction between Laxus and his ex wife as in terms of old romantic feelings. We also never got to see how Zereph got over his insecurities being either Laxus.

Also these MC names are familiar. Almost as if they’re from the anime show Fairytale. Laxus and Zeref.

I loved this amazing book. Zereph and Laxus are just so perfect together. Harper is adorable. I love how she clings to Zereph. Honestly, the family dynamic is perfect. Zereph was welcome into the family so easily, and he was what Laxus, Harper, and Oliver needed. I love how we see Laxus and Zereph grow together. Going from boss and employee to family and lover. I love how hard Zereph tries to be amazing at everything. Going as far as to learn how to use the coffee machines. Can't wait for the next book.

Fantastic book

What a great book. I loved the MCs and the boss/assistant trope is one of my favourites. Laxas is a fantastic alpha with a warm gooey heart and Zereph just steals the show as the omega, he’s sweet, caring with a great sassy attitude. The side characters are also great with Oliver and Harper making me laugh. This story is high on the feels and low on angst. Highly recommended to everyone.

fun

Ok in order to enjoy this book your are gonna have to understand the ridiculousness of it all. It’s fantasy and I would also call it soap opera ish. Don’t get me wrong it’s a fun read, but if you are expecting anything serious this ain’t it.

It was a cool read I did like the world build and I did like the story. Somethings made it weird and I’m not sure about them, and I don’t have any idea how they are going to write a redeeming story Maken but it was a fun story.

Sweet Omegaverse

I enjoyed Laxus and Zereph's story. Both are lonely but in different ways. Zereph lost his family in a tragic accident years ago. Laxus's family left when his younger brother, Oliver, was found to be an omega. The story made me laugh with the banter between the two. Oliver is a great aide character, and I can't wait to read his book when it comes out.

3.5⭐️ This wasn’t bad. I’m not into omega’s not having equality, but this was only faintly touched upon. There were some boring parts after they got together and before the end. But overall if you’re looking for a light easy read with a possessive alpha and cute found family, this is for you.

I’m hoping there’s a book two

Normally I think reviews that mention typos are kind of petty because even careful editing can miss things, and the story is more important.
But seriously this book has 4 glaring typos in the first 6 paragraphs. Things that aren’t even words, like “down’t” (instead of don’t)
That is way too distracting to be able to get into a story.

Mostly enjoyed the story

I really enjoyed this book, but I'm a little puzzled as to why the author sometimes changed pronoun usage 3/4 of the way into the book. People were referred to he/she until I had read about 70% of the book at which point pronouns sometimes (but not always) became they/them. Very inconsistent.

I'm Knot an Omega is the first in the Hidden Omegas MM Universe by November Sweets. This is a funny, witty, sweet Omegaverse story. I loved the banter and relationship between Zereph and Laxus. Great start to this new series. Looking forward to the next.

Super sweet, kinda steamy MM omegaverse book. I loved the premise that the designation can change and how well the couple worked together. I also loved the banter. I’m excited to see how the rest of the books play out!

I just don't like side characters steal the spotlight even though (or especially) they're next MCs

Cute and spicy, insta love and a bit of a abrupt, anticlimactic ending. Wish there had been more of a build up. But it was all very predictably cute!

This was ok. Overall an enjoyable read but it came across more like a well written soap opera than a believable story. Theres potential there though.
