Leia, a saint of the Kingdom of Elshaid, has her happily-ever-after shattered when her "tragic heroine" of a younger sister accuses her of abuse. Believing the lies, Leia's fiance breaks off their engagement, leaving her despondent. But a surprise encounter with the crown prince changes everything. Charming and righteous, Prince Erik is determined to discover the truth about Leia's character by having her come live with him in the royal palace?!
The artwork was pretty, but the characters were all rather one-dimensional and the book was too short so it rushed through a lot and ended abruptly. Due to the heavy usage of tropes, the reader is able to follow the “plot”, but it’s not enjoyable.
2, not really recommended and I feel it’s a waste of my money and time, stars.

What a whirlwind of a first volume this was!! WOW!
I will say that the first chapter was extremely engaging but also VERY triggering! Jill's blatant bullying and manipulation are strong towards Leia, making it very upsetting that EVERYONE falls into her lies about how Leia is supposedly bullying her. There was even a moment that I felt I might need to put the book down just so I could give myself a moment to breathe because it was so intense!
There was indeed NO bullying on Leia's part and I felt my heart break for her because you can tell that she desperately wants someone to believe HER words and the truth, but no one is. I think it's what made this volume so satisfying when seeing the Prince DID believe her and help her escape from her home life.
But speaking of him, I was quite shocked at how quickly he changed his tune because when you first meet him, he is very blunt and tells Leia outright that she needs to beg for forgiveness for bullying her sister. For the "righteous judge," he certainly didn't live up to the title and was even more surprised that when he saw her cry, he asked for HIS forgiveness for not listening to her. I didn't understand how he could change his mind so quickly and I guess it really wasn't until he made a point later on to say that he knew what REAL tears look like and that is why he believed Leia?
While I very much enjoyed reading this, I was quite bummed that everything happens VERY fast. I don't mean me just reading it quickly, which I did do, but that the story itself is moving extremely quickly. I honestly felt this story is maybe more focused on the plot than the characters themselves which is odd to say and is a first for me in reading where I felt the plot was moving the characters and not the characters moving the plot. That makes me a little sad because I genuinely liked Leia a lot! But I don't know if she'll get the same character development that I'm sure is in the light novel.
So all in all, I enjoyed my time reading this manga, but I don't foresee myself getting the next volume because I felt there were too many times that something felt like it was missing. That maybe something should have been more fleshed out and explained, rather than introducing us to characters at face value, which isn't always a bad thing! But I for one would love more of the characters and what they're thinking, so I think for this particular story, checking out the light novel would be the preferred route to go in reading.
This seems to be a mix of Cinderella and common villainess stories that are popular right now, just minus the issekai spin. Leia's life isn't exactly easy to begin with given her covetous younger sister who always manages to paint herself as the tragic victim, her step-mother who seems convinced her little sister can do no wrong, and her father who doesn't seem to know what to think or do other than ask Leia to make things better as the older sibling. Things come to a head when Leia's little sister steals her fiancé, claiming that Leia is always bullying her. Even Crown Prince Eric seems to believe these rumors shared with him by Leia's now ex-fiancé. The difference seems to be that Eric realizes at least something seems off and things may not be what they appear. He's not taking Leia's word either, but he seems more inclined to look for the truth and not just take her sister's word as gospel. There's definitely some potential in the relationship between Leia and Eric, though it's far too early to see just how we may hope that it goes.

If your deepest fantasy is to watch your most obnoxious bully who has a persecution complex finally face consequences for their behavior, then this story may be for you.
Otherwise, I found this story to be a little silly?
Honestly, I think this genre of manga that reimagines the conventions of isekai storytelling for a more feminine/broader audience, has a lot of potential. But, some stories are better conceived than others
I can foresee the “gimmick” in this one wearing thin rather quickly.
I mean, who wants to watch their biggest bully do their most obnoxious bully bullsh*t for volumes on end?
this sister is nearly exactly like the one from 'my sister took my fiance and now i'm being courted by a beastly prince' (not that it's a unique trope or characterization....I just read that one most recently lol)
the art here so far is GORGEOUS, so it's a shame the characters are rather one note and the dialogue is not great. the pacing is off and we move extremely quickly from her meeting the prince to being whisked away and her sister's behavior made clear....I am a sucker for these 'villainess' series though, so I may try one more volume to see if it gets better. it's entertaining at least!! so melodramatic lol

2nd: Don't really like how the Prince saves FL super fast. Also did no one else realize her sister is a little shit? She's not stealthy.
3rd: Some cliché situations and situations that just so happen to occur at the right time. Which isn't very fun to read about.
4th: So far the 'antagonists' all blame others for their actions, self-victimising. Which is the weirdest trait to have for multiple people and quite weak for an explanation for one's actions.
Art's pretty though!
3 stars. Not terrible, but nothing special. Was decent enough, I may read the rest of series if I don't find enough books to catch up on my reading challenge...

More saint romance-y manga's that I only vaguely remember! I enjoyed this one enough to read through what I could find, then read it again when new chapters came out, but nooooot well enough to remember what happened a couple of months later (please mentally insert a anime character of your choice doing the 'silly me' head bonk thing). After a brief refresh, I am reminded that this one has the comically overwrought little sister who suuuuucks. A fun read overall, but I'll let it build up a few more volumes before I really come back around.
I don't know about the light novel version, but this manga is a mess.
It's very rushed and overdramatic. They tried - and failed - to condense a lot of information into a single volume. The sheer over-the-top drama does not help. If this was meant to be some kind of parody, it miserably failed to deliver.
This is a pretty weak manga. The art could use some work and the story is predictable with like 2% emotional depth. Jill is evil in the standard way but makes a good villain, along with (I assume) the other prince. I'm interested in checking out the light novel but would say that it's not going to be outstanding based on the manga.
I thought this book was good. The characters, designs, and outfits are amazing, but it kind of annoyed me that the female lead was a punching bag for her family. FL would not stand up for herself. Glad the righteous prince decided to use his brain and figure out what kind of person she was for himself.

I really wanna enjoyed this but i didn't. The pacing was rushed till the end. I haven't read the light novel so i can't say for that but art style was okay. I might try light novel see that any better.
This was a cute read, it was a bit annoying when the sisters role was to basically victimize herself in EVERY SITUATION. This is definitely a slow burn and it feels like the slowest of burns tol
I fear this may be a favorite subgenre of manga-misunderstood older sister with a villain younger sister and royalty falling in love with her. Bonus for Sainthood or Magic.
