In case you don't know, "ekphrastic" simply means "writing inspired by art." Back when I first discovered The Ekphrastic Review (aka TER) on line, soon after its inception nine years ago, I found it difficult to place ekphrastic poetry into most journals. It's an easier job online. In my first month there, I'd already decided TER was my home journal. But it's much more than that. I've found an entire art and literary village there. We've all been waiting to see some volumes in print.
This anthology was a labor of love from every contributing writer, with a few extra truckloads of love from Lorette C. Luzajic, Editor of The Ekphrastic Review, and Clare MacQueen, Editor and Publisher of MacQueen's Quinterly. They made it easy on us by giving us a reasonable price, too. It took me several weeks to read this collection, but not because of boredom. It was like slowly savoring a rich feast that went on for days and days. Although I fought against the urge to look up the art prompts, each artist, title, country, and year date are given if you can't resist a peek. They should be easy to find online.
If you've also spent much time at The Ekphrastic Review, you'll no doubt recognize the cover as another Luzajic creation.
