Après une attaque-suicide des forces d'auto-défense contre les aliens dont Segami a été témoin, la mère de ce dernier lui fait part d'une triste nouvelle qui renforce sa détermination à combattre. Il rejoint alors "Rebellion" accompagné des Small 3 et décide de prendre part à la "mission Shibuya" menée par des troupes lourdement armées. Pendant ce temps, Futaba se réveille à bord du vaisseau ennemi et se retrouve encerclée par des soldats qui l'attaquent sans prévenir, l'obligeant à se battre contre la menace extraterrestre !

Yeah no, this series has completely lost its momentum, all interest in its characters, and truly any reasons to keep reading. It's offensively mediocre action drama with a "fun twist" that's completely sidelined for most of its first three volumes. A real letdown, especially considering how much it was hyped up before release in niche manga circles

So now that I’m on the 3rd volume I thought I might enjoy this more. It has gotten a bit better but I still can’t give it more than 3 stars yet. The quality just isn’t quite there in terms of plot. Still better, but not quite there yet.

2.5 barely rounded up. I really hope this is just some rough growing pains as they escalate the action and rebellion against the aliens. The manga characters are completely ignored aside from the little sister to instead focus on the radicalized guy as he joins a deadly rebellious fight against the aliens. It's really awkward to read. Partially because of the lettering choices like the extremely large though font as well as the heavy use of constantly reused 3d models that look muddled with all the texturing on them as well as stilted positioning. But also because they sort of just shoot a bunch and then get shot at. It's not done interestingly until near the end where the spray gives someone ESP powers which even then were super hard to see because she essentially teleports objects into people meaning only more heavily rendered 3d objects with too much texturing. Everything just becomes grey blobs, especially the aliens in that god ugly and confusing outfit they're constantly wearing.
