When aid workers Will, Melanie, and Jon find themselves tangled in an incident with devastating consequences, throwing them into a world of chaos and despair. Can their loved ones help them find their way back to life?
Rescue is the final book in this series of interconnected novellas.
Jonathan I'm doing everything to move on from what has happened. Taking a break, tick. Therapy, tick. But the nightmares just won't go away. Trying to survive on barely any sleep, no wonder I have turned into a grumpy recluse.
The last thing I need is the chipper Bed & Breakfast owner who thinks her muffins (not a euphemism) can make every day a glorious one. I try to avoid her as best as I can, but she is convinced that fresh air and laughter are just what will rescue me.
These novellas are interconnected but can be read standalone. The book is written in British English and includes adult content. Please read the trigger warnings.
Author Dani Elias loves writing about British working-class hotties and the women who are their happily-ever-after. Her stories are short, sweet & steamy.
She lives in the South of England and has a great passion for travel, something that does appear in her books as well.

The conclusion to this series was so sweet, full of fun, comfort, ease and laughs. This was the perfect way to end things and I loved the epilogue and conclusion for each character.
Book 3, Rescue, continues with Jonathan. The conclusion in a trio about aid workers Will, Melanie and Jon. After a devastating accident while working, Jon heads to a B&B to decompress. 3 weeks of getting off of the main grid and trying to find peace among the innkeeper and her daughter.
Each book in the series progressively provided more detail about their assignment and a look into the characters lives. Jonathans guilt about the accident overwhelms him and he finds comfort in an unexpected person/place.
This grumpy/sunshine addition to the healing process was a nice addition to the trio. Another quick paced read about the unexpected and how it reminds of the good out there and gives us the confidence to carry on.
Thank you to author, Dani Elias, and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read this book. I received an epub and am leaving my review voluntarily.
A great way to end this series. Jon, Abigail, and Layla will melt your heart. Jon is trying to find himself again after the accident, and he's certain that getting away from London is the right thing for him. Little does he know what awaits him in the reclusive B&B he has chosen to stay at.
Abigail is running her B&B and trying to provide for her adorable 6-year-old daughter. When Jon comes to stay there, they strike up a friendship that soon turns into something more. But when the time comes for Jon to go back, he needs to decide if returning to his hectic life in the big city, is what he really wants.
Despite being short, this series is filled with emotions and heartache, but also full of love that you won't want to end anytime soon.

This book was an ARC from the author.my apologies to Dani Eluas for being so late with my review, real-life got in the way, and I forgot I was ¾ of the way through reading this! So, here we are release day, and I'm finally here with my review. This is the third installment in this short story trio, aptly named Aftermath. This story gives us the final outcome of the fatal accident our MC's were involved in, and follows Jon's Aftermath, and eventually HEA. It was lovely that the reader gets to follow each MC, and then in this book we get multiple Epilogues, to finish off, ensuring the much expected HEA. Well done, to DE for these stories, and a great outcome.
Rescue is the third and last book of interconnected standalone novellas. This story follows Jon after a traumatic accident. He feels guilty that he couldn't do more to save his friend and colleague. So he sequesters himself in the English countryside where he meets Abigail (owner) at a bed and breakfast. He finds comfort while being there. He definitely heals while he's there while making an unexpected connection with Abigail and her daughter. With it being a novella, obviously it's a little quicker paced but overall it's a good story and a good wrap up to this trio.

I just loved the final installment of Dani Elias’ 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒉 series. As always, this was a great read with a wonderful message…sometimes, in our darkest hours, all we need is to get away and get a little sunshine. This read gave me hope and made me smile. In life, we have to open our hearts and be open to healing. The good, the bad, the ugly that we go through, though painful, are necessary, and may even lead us to true love and happiness!
This was a sweet, quick, easy-to-read romance. Life brought Jon and Abigail together at the perfect time. These two people, who on the outside seemed like polar opposites, were just what each other needed. I loved their chemistry, their late-night talks, their funny/flirty banter…it was all so sweet. The icing on the cake for me was Layla. What a sweetheart. I just loved her relationship with Jon (the cooking scene absolutely melted my heart).
I have to say that this story by itself was perfect but the fact that we got that epilogue where we were given updates on all of the couples from the previous books in the series, I just loved that. It is so good to see how far we have come and just how much an awful event could lead to changed lives and true happiness. Great ending to a wonderful series!

When guilt-ridden doctor Jon escapes to a cozy Yorkshire B&B to find peace, he doesn’t expect to be won over by the sunny innkeeper, Abigail—or her endlessly curious six-year-old daughter who steals every scene. What follows is a slow-burn connection full of warmth, laughter, and emotional healing.
This novella is equal parts healing and hilarious. Jon may be emotionally constipated, but watching Abigail and Layla slowly chip away at his walls (with baked goods and blunt kid logic) is pure joy. Their slow-burn friendship-turned-romance is swoony in the softest way, and the sleepover scene? Comedy gold.
With a perfect grumpy/sunshine dynamic, sweet humor, and an epilogue that ties everything together, Rescue is the cozy balm ending for the Aftermath series.
Swoony Line:
“Because you and your mum brought a little sunshine into my life.”
I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.
In this last installment of the Aftermath novella series, we hear from Jon, the doctor that was in the car that was in the landslide. Jon also feels like the incident was his fault. In his time before the interview, he takes time away from the hustle and bustle of London and stays at a B&B run by Abigail. Abigail has a 6 year old daughter, Layla, and they live there. Right now, Jon is the only guest there. While quiet and standoffish at first, Jon soon becomes more comfortable and finds himself enjoying time with Abigail and Layla. But he will eventually has to leave, so where does that leave them?
I like that each of these books gives us a little more about the incident, we learn more information about it and then also gain another perspective on what happened. Jon is the typical grumpy/sunshine character. And while I did like the beginning of Jon and Abigail, I think it went from 0 to 100 really quickly. I wanted a little more buildup. Without it, I didn’t feel the connection of the characters and with the characters.
However, I absolutely LOVED Layla. The connection she made with “Doctor Jon” was so sweet. And he was equally sweet with her. I know he’s a pediatrician, but not all pediatricians are good with kids, or even are nice to kids. But, ugh, if there was any reason for me to fall in love with Jon, it was how he interacted with Layla.
We also got epilogues for all the characters so we could see how each of them was in the future. So it was a really nice ending.
What a perfect little way to tie up the end of this novella series.
We focus this time on Jon, coming to terms with the events that happened overseas, and as with the other two books in the series, I really enjoyed getting his perspective on the accident, as well as finding out a little more of the aftermath of it all.
What I really liked about this one is that it's not only Jon healing from loss, but Abigail, our FMC, is, too. I really like that she took her loss and put it into something as amazing as the B&B she's running, whilst raising Layla, her very cheeky 6-year-old daughter - she was definitely one of the highlights for me.
There was plenty of humour dotted in these pages - talk of romance books; a 6-year-old being, well, a 6-year-old; a meddling sister and a messy kitchen - which helped break up the emotional aspect of recovering from grief and loss, and learning that not everything is your fault. There's some sweet romance, some spicy moments, and a scene between Jon and Layla that honestly brought tears to my eyes; it was beautiful.
I also love that Elias took us back to all the couples at the end, showing us their new happy after everything that happened with the accident and the aftermath.
A beautiful ending to some emotional, yet romantic and sweet, stories of healing
Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.
⭐️ARC REVIEW⭐️ Aftermath Series by @dani_elias_Books
This is book 3 in a Novella Series from @dani_elias_books, centuring around 3 members of a NGO group providing aide in a foreign country. During their most recent mission and incident happens during a rescue attempt which leaves all 3 members with scars and not all of them visible. Each book is the retelling of the incident from the main characters POV and how they are facing the aftermath… the people around them who are just as affected or are just trying to provide love and support.
Book 3 Rescue: 4.5 ⭐ / 2.5🔥🌶
Jon can’t seem to stay a float. He needs a change, he needs to be rescued, so he takes off on a holiday to a tiny B&B where he meets single mom Abigail and her adorable daughter Layla. Jon is immersed into their world and spends time learning all about them, especially Abigail. They fall fast and hard, but its sweet, steamy and perfectly played out since they both seemed to Rescue each other!
The final chapter of a heart wrenching journey for all 3 that Dani wraps up in a perfect epilogue of happily ever after!
I recommend you Read the Aftermath Series. You will not want to put it down. Add to your TBR today!. Thank you @dani_elias_books and @happilybookedpr for my ARC.
The third and final book in the Aftermath series and it ties the entire series together beautifully. This novella centers on Jon, one of the three aid workers whose lives were forever altered by a tragic incident.
Following his therapist's advice, Jon retreats to a charming Bed and Breakfast in Yorkshire, run by Abigail and her delightful six-year-old daughter, Layla. What starts as a journey for solitude and recovery becomes a touching tale of healing, connection and unexpected joy.
I loved how Jon and Abigail's bond grew. Their friendship formed a solid foundation and Abigail's warm, welcoming nature made Jon feel at ease, even when his inner struggles were at their heaviest. Jon’s interactions with Layla stole the show for me. Layla’s bubbly personality and constant curiosity brought so much humour to the story. She had a way of breaking down Jon's walls with her innocent and sometimes hilariously random questions.
What made this book even more special was its epilogue. Not only did Jon find his new beginning, but we also got to revisit the lives of Will, Melanie, and their respective partners. Seeing how each character's journey wrapped up felt like the perfect send-off for the series. It was incredibly satisfying to see everyone find peace and happiness after all they’d been through.
⭐ 4 🌶️ 1.5 🥵 Spicy chapters: 6-7, 9, 10 📚 Tropes/Themes: Doctor x B&B owner, single parent, widowed FMC, grumpy/sunshine, grief, hurt/comfort 👀 Dual POV 1st person 🩷 Something I liked: Layla 🥹 🧠 Triggers: Car accident, death 🛍️ Available: March 28th
💬 Such a sweet way to end this series! And I think this one is my favorite so far, I really enjoyed the medical aspect of it and Idk I feel like I could sorta relate better to Abby?
This is another novella so it's short and sweet and right to the point but I always appreciate that kind of palate cleanser, and it's the perfect wrap up to the Aftermath series.
Jon and Abby are so cute together, and adding in Layla is just perfect. I'm glad he finds his HEA and a way to move past the traumatic experience.
Along with that I really love that you get to follow up with his coworkers to see how they're doing after their stories have "ended", like an epilogue. I mentioned this in my review of the second book, Escape, but I enjoy how Elias has written three direct perspectives on the same events and the experiences of each person involved after the fact.
This is really a great little trilogy that I cannot recommend enough!
“Somehow you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.”
Rescue is the last book in the Aftermath series, and it might be my fav’. Just like any other of Dani’s books, you read it in one go, without even realizing it. Despite all the traumas, this story left me with a deep feeling of calm, probably because of the “retreat-like” bed & breakfast setting. Jon is a lot more poised, he doesn’t seethe, he internalizes his feelings and is a bit “extinguished”. Thanks to Abigail and her bubbling daughter, however, he puts some colors in his life again and comes back to existence. This story is soft, almost fluffy in the best of ways, filled with hope after all the suffering the characters had to endure. After detachment from the events, Jon implies himself. It’s truly a beautiful story, a bit introverted, and the perfect conclusion to the story. If all the novellas can work separately as standalones, I would say that reading them in the order brings more however. Each story is a layer for the bigger picture, and they slot together like a puzzle’s pieces. The general epilogue at the end of Rescue is the perfect illustration for that.
Thank you Dani Elias and HappilyBooked PR for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
Aftermath series is story of aid workers Will, Melanie, and Jon find themselves tangled in an incident with disastrous consequences. This is Jon’s story of the event and how he’s finding his way back.. Jon is doing everything to he can to move on from the incident. But the nightmares just won't go away. Following his therapist suggestion of taking a break and disconnecting he takes a trip to stay in a Bed and Breakfast in Yorkshire. There he meets Abigail the chipper owner and her six year old daughter. They slowly start breaking through to him and they come into an routine. But it has to end, doesn’t it? I love how Jon and Abigail bonded and they become friend first. She make him feel welcome , comfortable. She was a sweetheart. Jon was grumpy but with them he was sweetest. I love his interruption with her daughter and how he answer her every question. I love her daughter , she is just a little ball of sunshine with a her infinite amount of questions and curiosity. The sleepover scene had me laughing. The epilogue give such a perfect ending for all 3 couples from the series. I am so sad it is ending. it was a 5 star series for me.
Rescue is the third novella in the Aftermath romance series. Following a devastating event at work, Jon needs to take some time to decompress and unplug from his normal life. That’s how he finds his way to the B&B that Abby runs. Abby and Jon have an instant connection, but will Jon’s pay get in the way of this connection turning into something more?
I have enjoyed the rest of this series and thought Jon’s story was a great wrap up. I enjoyed Jon and Abby tighter and thought they were perfect for each other. This is a grumpy versus sunshine romance and I think it was well done. The characters and storyline in this series were great. I enjoyed Layla, Abby’s daughter, the most with her sunny personality that lit up a room. Jon was such a good sport with Layla and all of her questions for him. I enjoyed seeing her help break Jon out of his shell. The epilogues at the end of this book tied up the whole series perfectly and I was happy with the conclusion. Overall this is a good, short romance read that is so easy to get through. This was an enjoyable series and I love how everything tied up.
I received an ARC of this story but all opinions are my own.
📖: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 🥵: 🌶️.5/5
Rescue is the third and final story in the interconnected Aftermath series, which follows a group of 3 people involved in a dangerous incident whilst working abroad for an NGO. This book follows Dr Jonathan Peterson as he is trying to escape from his feelings out in the countryside, and Abigail, the owner of the B&B he escapes to.
I enjoyed this story again! I really like the relationship between Jon and Abigail, but I especially liked all his interactions with Abigail's daughter Layla. I'm a sucker for a single mum romance, and this novella hit the spot!
My main issue with this story is that Abigail wasn't as well developed as a character as Jon was. I thought she was a little 2 dimensional, but I did like her and wanted to hear more about her.
I really enjoyed the additional epilogues at the end for each character, showing how far their relationships had come and how they were moving past the trauma of the indicent. Seeing all 3 of them coming together to support each other was also lovely.
Aid workers Will, Melanie, and Jon find themselves tangled in an incident with disastrous consequences. This is Jon’s story of the event and how he is coming back from it.
Jon is doing everything to he can to move on from the incident. Following his therapist suggestion of taking a break and disconnecting he takes a trip to stay in a Bed and Breakfast in Yorkshire. There he meets Abigail the chipper owner and her six year old daughter. Between Abigail and her daughter they slowly begin to break through to Jon.
I enjoyed this story and the grumpy vs sunshine trope. While I enjoyed the connection between Jon and Abigail, my favorite character by far was Layla, Abigail’s daughter. She is just a ray of sunshine that brightens everyones day. I just loved her innocence and random questions she ask to break down Jons walls.
This is the final book in the Aftermath series. A series of interconnected novellas that can be read as standalone…but better as a series in order. I would recommend this series.
As I have read this series of novellas, I have had the opportunity to read about the incident that changed the lives of so many characters from three different perspectives. And holy crap. Each account of the incident has been heavy and traumatic in its own way for that particular character, but it provides such a complete picture. Even after knowing how two of three of these stories have turned out, I sat quietly after finishing the first chapter of Rescue just to process Jon's role in that fateful night 😮💨. Clearly what Jon and I both need is a trip to a B&B for a few weeks. This has now become a bucket list thing for me to do- hopefully without the trauma as a motivating factor 😬.
I have genuinely enjoyed the experience with this Aftermath novella series. It has caused me to feel so many emotions and made me do some genuine self reflection. I related to each of the characters differently and while Will and I are the most alike, I think this story, Jon's story might be my favorite 😍.
The final installment of the Aftermath series, Jon heads to a B&B to figure things out after the tragic incident involving himself, Will and Mel during a rescue attempt. First, I want to say that the series should be read in order of release due to the way the beginning and ending of the books happen. Not only is the incident mentioned segmented, but the epilogue covers what happens after they’ve all recovered. Secondly, I was crying at the first chapter because this segment covers the tail end of how things went during the incident. And while Mission and Escape tell us a life was lost, Rescue tells us about the last moments that life had before it was gone forever.
This series has become one of my all time faves and the closest to the real world as anything I’ve ever read so far in fiction. These characters were so human and their recoveries were so felt to me while reading it. I’m so grateful to have been able to read them all.
Thanks to the author and Happily Booked PR for this arc
Rescue is book 3, and the final one in the Aftermath series. This one focuses on Jonathan, the doctor of the trio who finds himself a fault for the events of their tragic day unfolding as they did. Jon taking his therapist’s suggestion to heart, decides to get away from it all, and lose himself at a bed-and-breakfast far away from city life. Abigail runs the inn and lives there with her six year-old daughter Layla . The kindness and welcoming nature gives Jon the opportunities to relax his tense and overburdened mind and try to enjoy life again. The evolution of their friendship is beautifully written and heartfelt. Abigail’s kind nature chips away at Jon’s walls and together they share in healing and potentially having a positive future. I enjoyed that each book had an epilogue and made for a perfect closure. Grumpy X Sunshine is one of my favorite tropes and this one’s hits all the sweet and spicy marks. I always enjoy Dani Elias’s romance stories and cannot wait for my next escape.
Jon’s story in Rescue brings the Aftermath novella series to a powerful and emotional conclusion, and it did not disappoint. Out of the three main characters, his journey was the most moving for me. His overwhelming guilt and grief felt raw and authentic, making his story deeply resonant. Dani Elias captures grief beautifully throughout this series, with each protagonist embodying a different emotional struggle—Jon’s being guilt.
Abby was the perfect complement to Jon, and their dynamic felt effortless. They balanced each other in a way that made their connection feel natural and inevitable. Layla was also a fantastic addition, bringing an extra layer to the story that I loved. And the epilogue? The perfect way to wrap everything up, giving readers a satisfying and heartfelt conclusion while reuniting the entire cast.
This novella series is a must-read…emotional, romantic, and heartfelt with just the right amount of spice. Highly recommend!
What a complete circle and excellent way to end the series.
Jon is the 3rd person who has come out of a tragic situation. He's lost. He needs to get away. He goes to a B&B to unplug. Here, he starts his healing.
Jon and Abigail's story is just what we need. Abigail, a single mom, shattered by trauma herself, and her daughter feel the pull towards Jon. Their lives are intertwined throughout this sweet come together. Both are scared to move forward. They both lean on each other to get through and overcome their darkness.
Then, the author completes the circle. She brings us back to Will and Melanie's stories with a celebration that everyone can get into. What a series, and what a way to close it out. I live this author and how she gets all the feels going in a short amount of time. Where you are both enthralled but not rushed, and you can not wait to see where everyone and everything ends up.
Definitely grab all 3 of these. You will not be disappointed.
Book 3, Rescue, picks up with Jonathan. The story concludes with a trio of aid workers: Will, Melanie, and Jon. After a devastating accident while working, Jon seeks solace at a B&B to decompress. Over the course of three weeks, he unplugs from the main grid and attempts to find peace amidst the innkeeper and her daughter.
Each book in the series progressively delved deeper into their assignments and provided glimpses into their lives. Jonathan’s guilt over the accident consumes him, and he finds unexpected comfort in an unexpected person and place.
Jon and Abby are incredibly adorable when they’re together, and introducing Layla (Abby’s daughter) is simply perfect. I’m so happy that he found his happily ever after and discovers a way to overcome the traumatic experience.
This is the concluding book in the Aftermath series, a collection of interconnected novellas that can be read as standalone stories. But, it is more enjoyable to read the series in its entirety.
Rescue is the third installment in the Aftermath series and in this book, we get to follow Jon's path to healing after the incident. This book should not be read as a standalone.
What I liked about this book: First off, I really liked the entire series. Each book was a super quick read. I believe each of them are about 100-200 pages tops. I love that we get to see 3 people who went through the same experience but each of them handle it quite differently. Specifically for Rescue, I enjoy that Jon just left and took some time off. He recognized that he needed to heal and did it semi off the grid. I also loved the story of the FMC.
What I didn't like: I just didn't connect with this character as much as the other two. I'm not sure if it was a me thing or what. Regardless, I think the author did a fantastic job of telling this story and I am so glad that I got to read it!
What you can expect:
- MCs in their 40s - coping with PTSD - found family - grumpy x sunshine for sure
Jon can't seem to get over the guilt and the horror of the "incident". He keeps go over the decisions he made that day, second guessing everything. And trying to decide what his next step will be.
In an effort to find some quiet, he leaves the city for time in the country. Staying at a quaint Bed and Breakfast, he befriends the owner Abigail and her daughter Layla. They bring a certain peace to his turbulent thoughts. As they develop a friendship, Jon begins to question what he really sees for his future.
This conclusion to the Aftermath series of novellas provides a quiet romance between a tired, broken man trying to come to grips with a traumatic experience and to try and figure out what comes next and a widowed mother who isn't sure how to move forward.
This novella can be read as a stand alone, but is much more meaningful if the earlier stories are read first. Jon and Abigail's story is a fitting conclusion to the trilogy full of introspection and emotion.
💚 Grumpy v sunshine 💚 Single mum 💚 Trauma healing 💚 MC’s in their 40’s
Part three in the series Rescue tells Jon's story after the traumatic events that occurred while on an aid mission.
As Jon is dealing with his guilt and trauma he books a three week stay at a B&B to disconnect. Abigail is the owner and along with her daughter Layla they pull Jon out of his thoughts and give him some much needed peace. Layla is so so adorable, as she peppers Jon with questions and grows quite attached to him. Abigail and Jon slide into a comfortable situationship, but when it comes time to leave Jon is left wondering whether he really wants to.
The novellas in the Aftermath series can be readalone but are interconnected but I would recommend reading Rescue last or skipping the epilogue until you've read the others as it will wrap up all three stories.
Thank you to Dani Elias and Happily Booked PR for the advance copy, my opinions are my own.
I loved how this book wrapped up the entire series.
Jon is looking to get away. After the incident, and all the guilt that he has, he needs somewhere quiet, away from the world to think. To figure out what he wants, what he is going to do. Booking a few weeks at a B&B in the country sounds perfect. It’s just what he needs.
Abigail runs a small B&B with her daughter Layla. Her sister has these foolish ideas about the mystery man who booked three weeks there. Ideas like he is the one for Abigail, and that they’re going to see each other and instantly fall in love. Foolish right? But when those thoughts run through her head when she’s with Jon, and when he smiles at her, they suddenly don’t seem foolish at all.
This was so sweet! Jon and Abigail are perfect for one another. I loved all the scenes with Layla and all her questions. How she pulls Jon out of his shell. Abigail is lonely just like Jon, and I’m a sucker for two people finding each other after tragedies 🥰.
The epilogue in this was everything!! It gives a beautiful ending to Will, Mel and Jon.
This book is the conclusion to the series of novellas involving Melanie, Jon, and Will. This is Jon’s story. They all feel responsible for the accident that caused someone to lose their life and others of them are injured in different ways. However, the emotion of the event carries on with all of them. I enjoyed this series and how they all have a different experience and perspective on what happened.
Jon takes time to gather himself and decompress from what happened by going to a B and B run by a single mom and her 6 year old daughter. They charm their way into friendship that leads to more. 6 year olds ask all the right questions and have the perfect logic that cannot be contested LOL! It’s true what they say that love conquers all! I loved the epilogue as we are reunited with all the characters and we see how they have all completed their story.
This is book three and the final story of the series and it was a perfect way to wrap up the story. At the center point of the trilogy is a traumatic event that occurred while on a mission to help a little girl who is in medical distress. In this book we meet Jon who was the doctor for the mission. He has been left with the guilt of a mission that went sideways. As he recovers he meets Abigail who is the owner of the B&B he plans on staying for several weeks. This was a great pairing of characters. Jon is a grump and Abigail is this warm and friendly person. Along with her six year old daughter, they give Jon exactly what he needs as he is trying to heal is mind and soul. I thought the book also revisited the MCs from the first two books as well. But Jon and Abigail’s story really has my heart ❤️
This was the final novella in the gripping Aftermath series. The story focuses on Doctor Jon and his healing journey after the events that span the series.
After the incident, Jon decides to head to northern England to rest in a B&B aptly named Sunshine House (the owner Abigail and her daughter Layla are very cheery). Jon planned to spend the time until the investigation over the incident concludes just relaxing, but he didn't expect to feel so comfortable around Abigail and Layla. He is the only guest, so they treat him more like part of the family, inviting him to supper and getting to know him.
There is so much feeling and chemistry between Jon and Abigail, and that sweet girl Layla melted my heart. The book does provide an epilogue for the characters in the first 2 stories, which I really enjoyed as well.
