Greek's Enemy Bride is an enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, forbidden, billionaire romance from USA TODAY bestselling author Caitlin Crews.
From stepmother… to inherited wife!
For Greek tycoon Apostolis Adriankis, marrying his father’s young widow is inconceivable. Yet the clause in the will is watertight; if he wants his birthright, they must wed. So, despite their charged animosity, innocent beauty Jolie Gerard is now his enemy…and his bride.
Forced into convenient marriage with the man who despises her most, Jolie can't believe the sparks between her and Apostolis are anything but burning hatred. Until one touch from her husband ignites a blaze neither can deny. They married for family legacy, but will their scorching desire save it…or turn everything to ash?

Caitlin Crews discovered her first romance novel at the age of twelve, in a bargain bin at the local five and dime. It involved swashbuckling pirates, grand adventures, a heroine with rustling skirts and a mind of her own, and a seriously mouthwatering and masterful hero. The book (the title of which remains lost in the mists of time) made a serious impression. Caitlin was immediately smitten with romances and romance heroes, to the detriment of her middle school social life. And so began her life-long love affair with romance novels, many of which she insists on keeping near her at all times, thus creating a fire hazard of love wherever she lives.
Caitlin has made her home in places as far-flung as York, England and Atlanta, Georgia. She was raised near New York City, and fell in love with London on her first visit when she was a teenager. She has backpacked in Zimbabwe, been on safari in Botswana, and visited tiny villages in Namibia. She has, while visiting the place in question, declared her intention to live in Prague, Dublin, Paris, Athens, Nice, the Greek Islands, Rome, Venice, and/or any of the Hawaiian islands. Writing about exotic places seems like the next best thing to actually moving there.
She currently lives in Oregon with her animator/comic book artist husband and their menagerie of ridiculous animals.
This story was steamy and full of passion. A cynical hero who marries his innocent stepmother always makes for a very interesting story. I loved this couple and their love-hate relationship. Caitlin Crews has become one of my favorite authors!
One for my keeper shelf. I loved it and teared up at the ending. Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes as well as forced proximity. Wrapped up in Caitlin Crews' voice = Harlequin heaven. Can't wait for the hero's sister's story.
A manage between stepson and stepmother is illegal almost everywhere in the world!
I know Mill’s and Boone are not real. They are the nearest thing to fairy stories that an adult woman can read and yet.I still expect realism to underpin everything.
It is illegal to marry one’s stepmother. How was that little fact not picked up by an editor? In most places it is regarded as incest even though there is no blood relation. Did it not cross anyone’s mind that this plot was crossed the line in so many different ways?
I couldn’t get my head around that particular plot point.
Secondly the non stop, truly vicious dialogue between the h/H became very boring - very quickly. It wasn’t humorous or clever - just bitter and twisted. I could not believe that any love whatsoever could ever exist after seven years of that before they ‘married’ and then a daily basis thereafter. It was uncomfortable and ultimately very boring.
I have loved Caitlin Crews writing since the beginning. Her writing skill is unquestionable and incomparable,
However I have been struggling with her characters and plots for a little while. The fairy stories have taken over - and not always in a good way.
In this one, the heroine is so badly treated I wouldn’t have blamed her if she committed murder. But no, she turns into one of Lynn Graham’s TSTL martyrs and pays her uncle and aunt to ensure they treat their daughter well.
It takes the hero to rescue the daughter and deal with the aunt and uncle.
I will still read CC’s books but, like this one, I may find myself skimming and rolling my eyes.
Virgin widow marries her stepson in this enemies to lovers story. There isn't much scandal in this, since the author doesn't dwell on the seven years the heroine was the father's trophy wife (while also running his hotel).
There could have been uncomfortable conversations with hotel guests, but the author chose to focus on the H/h's sexual chemistry and backstory.
So this reads like any ol' Harlequin Presents with the H/h have slightly bad opinions of each other.
It's fine. But not a big angst fest or even particularly memorable.
She is marrying her stepson after her husband dies - do I need to say more?? This is Caitlin Crews at her most bonkers but yet the book was really heartfelt and emotional as well. The banter between FMC and MMC was top tier.
