Get ready for the epic conclusion of The Blood Ties Series. There is no place to hide now.

No dark corner of this city where those who stand behind The Order can disappear.

They are exposed, hunted…but they aren’t vulnerable…not yet.

Protected by the most savage of us all… they bribe and scheme.

But no matter how loud their threats are, they know there’s no way out of this.

Because we have something they’ll never have.

A reason to fight…

Three of them actually.

Ryth.

Vivienne.

And Trouble.

The woman my brothers and I have fallen for.

They are the true Daughters of The Order.

The ones they can never tame.

Together with London St. James, his Sons and the Bank’s boys we will set fire to the Order’s world.

There’s only one place for them now. Hale, King…and our own sister.

That’s six feet under.

We’re about to put them there… then maybe… we can find out just how deep this love runs.

For all of us.

I’m kinda happy this was the last book in the series. It wasn’t as good as the previous ones - it wasn’t bad, but it just felt lacking compared to the rest.

It’s a blend of passion, danger, and suspense. The characters are more entangled than ever, and there’s lots of drama.

Somewhere between 4 and 5 ⭐️’s (closer to 4 than 5)

Are you ready to hunt, Priest?

I may suffer from dry eye because i feel i didn't blink from 40% onwards!!! Holy fuck this had me on the edge of my seat.
I absolutely love the fact that Atlas brought all the characters from the previous books together. All to protect their families and end the carnage once and for all!!! Tears were shed, and panic took over when shit got real 😂
I have loved every single one of these books.
And i very much look forward to reading Crave 🥀

Consumed is book 9 of the Blood Ties Series and should be read in order. As always, check the trigger warnings, your mental health matters 🖤

3.5. This book didn’t answer or tie in some of the major plot points in AKs world building she set up and built upon in all 8 previous books. Still loved the series but still some of it just didn’t really add up or have the “aha wow reveal” or closing I wished it had with being so far in on a series. However, Vivian and her men, are my absolute fav.

This whole series just had me from the fire. The characters unfold beautifully. I have cried, yelped, Oooed and awed over these pages. Not only does AK get it but SHE GETTTSS ITTT!

I am so bummed it’s over. The writing is thought intrusive and straight up lovely. I’ll never forget the journey. The spice is right every-time too! Consumes ties neatly in a bow with a few loose threads. Bravo and well done!

2.75 ⭐️

I’ve enjoyed every single book in this series but this one just didn’t do it for me. I feel like Helene & her men didn’t truly get their own story. I love that all the other couples were heavily involved because it was the conclusion but it was almost too much. Vivienne & London had their books already but they almost totally consumed this one too.

There’s lots of unanswered questions & a few plot holes 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hale’s death was also very uneventful considering he was the villain for 8+ books.

One of my biggest pet peeves is cutting things short & leaving out info for the sake of getting the reader interested in the authors next series & this totally did that. I feel like I’ve been reading this series for years & it just didn’t live up to the rest of the books for me.

good but quick?

Don’t get me wrong- this series had SO much story to tell and breaking it down the way AK did was great. This book was A. L. O. T. though. Too much for one book maybe? I feel like maybe there are a few holes in the plot or maybe things from earlier in the series we can’t remember because it been so long? So read it all (the series) together and hopefully less gaps. (Book also seemed rushed grammatically and continuity wise and had several typos in the ebook version- little things but noticeable)

Could have been briiliant.

Compelling story. Engaging characters..... But each subsequent book from book 6 onwards was full of more and more errors, gaping plot holes, mistakes, errors, inconsistencies. This is honestly the most poorly edited book I've ever read in my life, which is a shame because it detracts from what could have been an epic finale. It's far too rushed. I wish it was up to the standard of the first 6 books. Disappointed 😞

throughout the series I found the books progressively getting worse. I like the first three, even though I would appreciate a bit more description. I sometimes struggled to get a mental picture but that's the author's style of writing.
However after a while things get quite repetitive. Same words, same scenarios, same descriptions of emotions.

Loved the first five books, but it's very repetitive. Boring. Easy to predict. The lack of umph this had was disappointing.

Consumed by A.K. Rose (Atlas Rose) Rating: ★★★★☆ (3.5 stars, rounded up) Book 9 of the Blood Ties series

Consumed is the chaotic, emotional finale to a series that’s been uneven and often frustrating. While it wraps up major characters and traumas, many plot threads feel rushed or left unresolved. Character arcs are underdeveloped, with several villains and key players introduced but never fully explored. Formatting and editing inconsistencies—like repetition and contradictions—distract from the story.

The series as a whole rates a solid 3 out of 5 stars. If you want a tightly plotted story, this isn’t it—plot holes and pacing issues abound. However, if smut-heavy, dark romance with plenty of steamy scenes is your main interest, this series delivers that, arguably its strongest appeal.

Despite its flaws, Consumed and the series leave a lasting impression with moments of brutal emotion and twisted suspense. It’s messy and ambitious but still entertaining for fans who prioritize dark, intense romance over perfect plotting or deep character development.

I enjoyed how this book was from so many perspectives, but it still leaves me with a whole. I don’t feel as though there is any closure.

What is on the USB? I mean, what else? Then another series is in the works, but there is nothing that I can find on release dates … I digress.

This final book was great, but not five stars great. Again, closure didn’t happen for me, personally, but seeing them all come together and to “fight” for family made it worth it.

The fight was drawn out about 80% to only be one page worth of hype up which leaves me with the four stars.

Spice, when it spiced, was 🥵… but this book wasn’t full of it like some of the ones before it.

Wait wait wait a second here. I thought I was done with book 9 which basically wrapped up the plot of the whole 9 books in a few chapters, anticlimactic much? But now there’s a spin off series? My undiagnosed ADHD brain is like… we must finish it… to the bitter end we go!!! And another part of me is saying, ‘please, no more!’ I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.

“Go on, Priest, pray.”

4⭐️I’m loving the action of the series. There’s so much going on though there’s so many players so many characters so many reunions it took me ages to work out who was who again. I recommend reading this series from woe to go so that you don’t get lost like I did. I wish there was a character summary or genogram I could refer to! I probably didn’t get the full impact of the plot points because of my amnesia experience haha. Still enjoyed it though what I did pick up.

I’m in love with Thomas! It’s official he feels like the most in depth of this whychoose crew for me. He has substance and he’s much more differentiated from the others which I really enjoy. The spice between Helene and him is quite a nice dynamic too.

Loving the multi POV! So much drama and depth! It’s literally go go go from the first page to the end. Goodness! You needs a triple shot latte to keep up at times. It was literally like a movie in my head. High definition and surround sound! It was great!

I got this series based on a few quotes I had seen and it turned out to be so much more than I could have imagined. This series had me in a chokehold from the start and I was completely invested in a good outcome for each of the main characters 🤯🥵🔥👑❤️‍🔥...Loved the step brother element with Ruth, Nick, Caleb and Tobias...Loved the age gap and 'sons' element with Vivienne, London, Carven and Colt...The enemies element with Helene, Riven, Kane, Thomas and Hunter was everything 🥰.....I spent 6 books hating these men, only to love them as much as the others 💕

This is the 9th and final book in the Blood Ties series. It's been a wild ride and I was really happy to have all the sisters and their men join up to fight Hale. This book was action packed, pretty dark, so check your tw's. I guess my main problem with this book was London and Ryth's men "allowing" them to come to the final warehouse battle. What woman 9 months pregnant and another one with an infant would put themselves in that position?! I just couldn't get past it. I'm mad at myself for not understanding the ending re: the Ares family bc I read the earlier books so long ago that I don't remember them now 😔 I am looking forward to the Blood Secrets series when it's released!

* PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS

The series kicks off with ‘Mine,’ introducing Ryth, who finds herself in the tumultuous household of The Banks Brothers: Tobias, Nick, and Caleb. These men, soon her stepbrothers, are not thrilled about her presence, nor is she, but beneath the surface, attraction simmers, overshadowing their animosity. The brothers are irresistibly drawn to her, vowing to do anything to ensure their ‘Little Sister’ is safe. ‘Hers’ and ‘Ours’ continue this thrilling saga, filled with danger and forbidden romance. The narrative is packed with unexpected twists and a heat that will leave you breathless, making each chapter a pulse-pounding experience. The author masterfully crafts intensity, making these books addictive and impossible to put down.

‘Owned’ shifts focus to a new set of characters, though it remains intricately connected to the first three. ‘Traded’ and ‘Claimed’ follow Viv, the spirited captive of London St. James and his sons, Carven and Colt. Known as their Wildcat, Viv is strong and defiant, yet she can’t resist the magnetic pull they exert on her. Their obsession becomes a reality, binding them together in a powerful love that is the only thing that can keep her safe. As you navigate through every shocking twist, you’ll find yourself questioning if it will be enough. Can they protect her? Should they risk everything for her? Amidst the chaos, Viv captivates them with scenes of desire that bring them to their knees.

‘Forbidden,’ ‘Captured,’ and ‘Consumed’ delve into the lives of Helene (Trouble), Riven, Thomas, Kane, and Hunter, the Cruze Brothers. This story is a complete surprise, with the forbidden aspect reaching new heights in a why-choose scenario. Helene is aware of the stakes, yet she can’t resist the brothers, who fall for a woman who has nearly dismantled their decade-long efforts. The intense push and pull between the characters makes the story unexpectedly captivating. The raw and beautiful passion between them is unforgettable, ensuring you won’t be able to put these books down.

While the last three books focus heavily on these characters, the final installment will offer chapters from Ryth and The Banks, as well as Viv and The St. James. Throughout this series, you’ll never anticipate what comes next, which is my favorite part. Each twist fueled my imagination and curiosity, keeping me hooked and unable to stop reading.

This review doesn’t dive deep into the story, but there’s enough to pique your interest and leave you craving more. There’s so much I could share about these books, but that would spoil the exhilarating journey that is THE BLOOD TIES SERIES. Trust me, it’s a ride you won’t want to miss.

A.K. Rose, also known as Atlas Rose, is an exceptional author whose works are both thrilling and captivating. You become immersed in the characters and their story, feeling as though you’re experiencing it alongside them. The emotion and passion infused into these books are truly exquisite. She is a remarkable author, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of reading this series.

It all comes down to this.

Ryth, Tobias, Nicholas, and Caleb
Vivienne, London, Carvin, and Colt
Helene, Riven, Kane, Thomas and Hunter

Fighting for their lives, their families, and their future.

And it all comes down to Haelstrom Hale and the rogue Son at his disposal.

When Helene learns that her father is dying, she feels robbed of the time they could have had, instead choosing to spend it with Haelstrom. And when Ryth learns the truth, his death swift and painless. But there is no remorse for a man who has caused so much pain.

When Benjamin Rossi fell, his son Lazarus felt the loss of his father's presence, but it only made him stronger and more determined to put this mess behind him once and for all.

After witnessing a heinous act, Thomas's retribution is swift, which changes him fundamentally. He becomes someone different, finding his purpose, his true calling.

There was so much pain, death, and destruction.

Haelstrom and Melody meet a swift ending.

As Vivienne falls victim to Haelstrom's machinations London, Carvin and Colt move heaven and earth to get her the help she needs. It was a bit touch and go there for a minute, but safe to say, she delivered a healthy baby girl and baby boy.

And as they deal with the fall out with all they've seen and done, they can now all breathe a sigh of relief, no more running, no more hiding, a life free of fear.

Whilst cleaning up loose threads, they discover Daughters scattered all over, Vivienne brings them together, where they can come to terms with their trauma, to a safe space to heal.

London finally takes the time to look through the USB that King had given to Ryth. Haelstrom's entire operation, but also answers to what happened to Ares mother and what his sister likely kept from him.

And alas, with the introduction of new characters, there is no doubt we will be seeing more stories that may feature cameos from our beloved characters.

I can not believe their story has finally come to an end. What a thrilling, adrenaline seeking ride it was, and I was there for every word of it right from the beginning to the very end.

This series undoubtedly will sit rent-free in my mind for a long time to come. Thank you to this amazing author for writing such a compelling story.

Despite everything they've been through, Helene, Riven, Kane, Thomas, and Hunter still found the time to give their girl Trouble the pain and pleasure she deserves. Because their love for her and her love for them knows no bounds, it's consumed them forever.

Highly recommend both the author and the book.

Wow.
Just.
Wow.
I cannot actually believe its over😭
This whole series was the definition of i came for the porn and stayed for the plot. Never in my life did i expect to fall in love with any of these characters, but jesus, does the end of this series leave a massive hole in my heart.

The plot was sensational and just kept you guessing right up till the very end. The spice was🤌🏻

Ryth, Vivienne and Helene will forever hold a place in my heart for being the most amazing, strong, powerful women that they truly are. All their trama, all their pain, they used that to drive themselves- each of them went through such growth throughout each book- they never stayed 1 dimensional- they had layers and it really helped with the overall payoff. Each of them is different yet so resilient- i loved each and everyone of them and all for different reasons.

Caleb, Nick and Tobias will always be my fave trio, purely for the fact i started this journey with them. They never failed to disappoint me, and if i am being honest right up until the last book Tobias was definitely my least favourite but he fully won me over in the finale. Nick- my sweet boy. He is just so lovely and kind but don’t ever get my boy twisted- he’s just as fierce as the rest. And- ah- my main boy Caleb. The hold that man has over me is unhealthy at best- do i regret it? No! S e n s a t i o n a l

London, Carven and Colt-
Where do i begin. I never thought i would get over the Bank’s boys- i nearly wrote the series off when we switched to a new trio- but these men. Holy hell. I would crawl on the fucking floor for London St. James. THAT man! Colt was just my sweet baby boy- and then Carven🥵 stop it.

Riven, Kane, Hunter and Thomas
Boy oh boy.
I wanted to hate them.
Not Hunter- never Hunter.
But the grip they had on me- and when Hunter was introduced in the 8th book! My jaw? On the fucking floor- just when i thought my heart couldn’t take anymore- boom- a 4th Cruz brother.
Don’t even get me started on Thomas! For 2 whole fucking books i was whining about not getting more of him- and then the final- GODDAMNIT

Anyway- i’m now going to start at my ceiling and think about how absolutely devastated i am that this series is over- and that i will never have a man like London St. James- bye

I can’t. I CANNOT.
I have no idea how anyone can be so forgiving of SO MANY ERRORS and such bad writing.
Look, I finished all nine just to see if this would wrap up in an AT ALL interesting way, and the “big bad”’s death is literally not even a paragraph?
Then you get a ton of last minute effort dumped into trying to hype some spin-off series, PLEASE NO. You barely wrapped up this one?
Way too many continuity errors and plot holes. I am almost positive this author did not use an outline to write this.
What is the weird “connection” or whatever between the Sons and Daughters? How did Hale manage to control all the Sons? What happened to the Daughters?
And please—PLEASE—with the “the baby rolled and blah blah blah” for dramatic impact, GIRL. 😒
I could forgive a series for being over the top dramatic if it was at least well-written and edited, but dang. This was repetitive, poorly written, not edited, full of plot holes, littered with continuity errors, and I’m shocked I read all nine just to see if it would come to a somewhat forgivable conclusion.
It did not.
It’s lazy writing, plain and simple. This could have reduced down to three books max, easy peasy. And it was stretched to nine, probably for money, considering how much the author sells these suckers for direct. Unreal.
Probs the only saving grace in here is Vivienne, and they even did her dirty with the over the top pregnancy and birth. The spice is either boring or cringey, the language is repetitive, there is zero character development (the guys are all exact carbon copies of each other—London/Riven/Hunter, Colt/Tobias/Carven, Thomas/Caleb, Nick/Kane)…
Save your time. Seriously.
The ONLY interesting thing about this could have been what the connection between the Sons and Daughters was, and it was literally NEVER answered.
This needs a serious rewrite, an editor, and some hefty time spent revamping. It’s not a bad story, by any means, but all the filler crap and the terrible writing and all the errors really drags it down.

Wow!!! What an explosive ending to this series. I'm so sad it's over but I can't wait to see what the future holds...

💞 This was the perfect ending to this series. It was amazing to see Ryth, Vivienne and Helene all together again. They, along with their friends really did go through so much throughout the entirety of this series and it was so good to see them seek and get the justice they rightfully deserved.

💞 I loved that Helene and Thomas grew closer. Thomas and Helene had this invisible barrier between them but slowly that came down and Helene and Thomas were able to connect and Thomas finally found himself in this new world.

💞 Helene and her men, continued to grow closer and just love each other the best way they knew how. I loved it.

💞 Helene, I love her so much. She is so strong and endured so much. She's changed but at the same time hasn't, she's still an amazing character but so much wiser. Her character growth was brilliant. The love she has for her sisters and her men is so beautiful.

💞 There were so many revelations in this book, it was mind blowing and some of them make me cry a little bit...

Just a gentle reminder that this book is dark so check your triggers.

Congratulation Atlas, this is such a phenomenal series. You did amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much to Atlas and her amazing team for giving me the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful 🙏

All opinions are honest and my own 🩷

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice/Steam: 🌶️🌶️
Relationship: FMMMM
Tropes/Triggers: Lots of violence, abuse, SA
Series: Consumed - Blood Ties #9

Synopsis
Finally, the last book of the series. All the characters we have come to know and love band together against Haelstrom Hale and The Order.

The POV is mostly from Helene, Riven and Thomas, but we get a sprinkling of Vivienne, London, Colt, Ryth, Tobias, and Caleb. We get more bits and pieces of The Order but most of the book is action and violence. There are some spicy scenes but this book is mostly the war against Hale. So many twists and turns.

We get some closure (this is the last book, after all) and although there is no cliffhanger, there is a setup for a spinoff.

Review
I have been hooked on this series from the start. I loved the smut but this twisted story kept me interested even between the spicy scenes. Even as the plot ended up overtaking the smut, the love and devotion was clear throughout the entire story.

There are clearly some unrealistic things that happen but I love the characters and am too invested to give too much thought or judgement. Each of the families and characters were so broken and ended up finding their way. The found families, strengthened families, and interconnected bonds were lovely to read about. The character development was beautiful to see. There isn’t an open and shut ending but it was still a fulfilling way to close this series.

The series as a while, First off I felt this series could of been shorter than a entire 9 book series with all at least 400+ pages, I wanted to read this series for over a year and it just kinda of felt disappointing, I didn’t like it as much as I hoped or thought I would. The spice is good, so is the plot a little anticlimactic but still decent. I like the characters, like the RH etc. this book specifically had me wondering genuinely WTF at times though. For one, bringing Ryth and Ali to the “big boss fight” basically at the end..Ali can’t be older than infant or YOUNG toddler, why the hell would you bring her and him there? All she’s doing is holding him it’s just an unnecessary risk for ryth and the child. Even more so wifh London and the sons bringing a heavily pregnant(31 weeks) with twins Vivianne there as well? That’s just asking for her to potentially be hurt and she was hurt and because of that almost lost the babies. I get not wanting to separate but I DO NOT think the boys would actually bring Ryth and Viv, I know it was probably just to increase the drama or stakes or come full circle with the three sisters that it revolves around but it just irritated me lol like I already said I think the series could of been shorter with the same ending effect it all fekt kinda drawn out by the end of it. I don’t hate them but didn’t enjoy the series as much as I’d hoped.

The Order and Hale continue to torment the Daughters and Sons. There is so much action – whether they are fighting or whether they are loving! I love how each of the families start working together against their common enemies. The men are protective of their women – Ryth, Helene and Vivienne. But the women are just as protective of their men – willing to follow them into danger as they are better together. Vivienne is close to delivering her twins and still wants to be in the middle of the action if that is where her men are.

Thomas starts to come out of his shell – Helene understands his needs and once Thomas has had enough of Helene being in danger, he becomes a force to be reckoned with finally allows Helene and his brothers in. More secrets are revealed, Hale tries to turn all the other families against the The Principle so they have no help in trying to take him down.

The ending is perfect and I am anxiously awaiting to see how the next series will play out when one of the mafia families finds out the truth!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
