When Harlem Based detective Devil Barnett goes on holiday in sunny Brazil the last thing he expects is to be asked by his old ex-CIA colleague to do him the favour of putting the murdered body of his journalist brother safely on the plane back to the States.
The murdered body leads Devil to not only to a secret organization whose members keep turning up dead but also connects him to a mysterious poltergeist that people fear might be linked the dreaded black magic of “Macumba.”. To his dismay Devil discovers that all these things are connected to the nasty and sordid reasons for the journalist’s murder. Reasons which brings some vicious characters out into the open to make sure that Devil Barnett never leaves Brazil alive.

Teddy began writing the Devil Barnett series in 1987 and was first published in 1997. The Guardian called his third novel in the series "Wrong As Two Left Shoes", violent, breathless and never less than gripping." This book is accompanied by a downloadable music sound track.

Teddy has just completed his 11th book in the Devil Barnett series called "Chaos a la Mode."

Teddy is also a playwright with 6 produced musicals and an African American dramatic trilogy titled "Urban Outcries" to his credit.

In addition he has penned a book on theatre titled. The Guerrilla Guerrilla To Being A Theatrical Producer.

Recently he penned a series of children's stories that are designed to educate children beyond the limitations of computerized based learning. These stories include videos with foreign language introduction as well as workbooks for parents and children to learn from.
