The title undersells how much this book covers - it really is an incredibly range of baked goods, from very traditional UK fare to brioche and other modern recipes which have been obviously polished to their perfect incarnations as a great labor of love.
The author's passion for baking really shines through, and the photographs are beautiful and inspiring.
An underrated find and definite 5/5 recommendation from me.
I am very fortunate to have come upon this cookery book. The recipes ring true, and I look forward to making a number of them. I particularly liked the ideas for the “afters”, and the sauces, custards, and syrups than can be served alongside.
I made breakfast pancakes recipe in this book. One of the most simple recipes in the world right? İt seems not.the result mixture is a thick soup.ı do not want to try other recipes.
Edit: Tried again a new recipe that seems the author’s the famous doughnut recipe. Bland, tasteless, waste of time and money :(
