2,718 books2,410 followersGeoff Johns originally hails from Detroit, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University, where he earned a degree in Media Arts and Film. He moved to Los Angeles in the late 1990s in search of work within the film industry. Through perseverance, Geoff ended up as the assistant to Richard Donner, working on Conspiracy Theory and Lethal Weapon 4. During that time, he also began his comics career writing Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. and JSA (co-written with David S. Goyer) for DC Comics. He worked with Richard Donner for four years, leaving the company to pursue writing full-time.
His first comics assignments led to a critically acclaimed five-year run on the The Flash. Since then, he has quickly become one of the most popular and prolific comics writers today, working on such titles including a highly successful re-imagining of Green Lantern, Action Comics (co-written with Richard Donner), Teen Titans, Justice Society of America, Infinite Crisis and the experimental breakout hit series 52 for DC with Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka and Mark Waid. Geoff received the Wizard Fan Award for Breakout Talent of 2002 and Writer of the Year for 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 as well as the CBG Writer of the Year 2003 thru 2005, 2007 and CBG Best Comic Book Series for JSA 2001 thru 2005. This is the first booster gold book I’ve read, won’t be the last. So the book is split into 3 parts: Geoff Johns run, the first half of Chuck Dixons run and a story by Rick Remender.
Geoff Johns run was phenomenal, had such an amazing time reading it. It’s set after 52, once it settles in to the story and gives you a brief rundown of booster golds origin it gets right into booster being a time cop. I really liked booster, not just because he’s a fellow Michael but the humour and him being a sort of underdog was interesting to read. The cameo appearances were really cool to see as well and overall I had a great time reading booster go all over time.
Can’t judge Chuck Dixons run as it hasn’t tied up a lot of plot threads but I’m interested to see where that goes and Remenders story about starro was a good one.

An absolute thrill. Booster is my second favorite comic character and getting to see him in action on the page was fantastic. The art was beautiful and the story was gripping

Relentlessly paced time-travel shenanigans that play fast and loosely with established DC canon in fun and exciting ways!
A must-read for anyone that's into comics but maybe hasn't given Booster Gold a shot yet, but I'd definitely recommend having a solid knowledge of DC before stepping into this. One of my favourite reads of the year so far!

I've been a Booster Gold fan for a long time but had never read any of these stories. This is a huge collection and was a blast for me to read through! I don't know if there will be any more complete collection coming out but I'll definitely be there to collect and read them! Easy 5 stars from me!!!

I would read more of this. Booster Gold as a timecop, trying to right time anomalies.

A great follow-up to Booster Gold's adventures in 52. As a big fan of JLI, I've really enjoyed the development of Booster Gold as a character. From a money-driven fame hound to a heroic multiverse saviour.
Geoff Johns and Dan Jurgen continue to deliver great character development and humor as Booster travels through time with Rip Hunter. A particularly great story sees Booster travel back in time to the events of Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke". This eventually leads to an especially strong emotional scene with Batman in the present.
A must read for Booster-Gold and Blue Beetle fans alike.

The last few issues aren't as good, but aside from that this is an absolute gem. Long live the love story that is Booster Gold and Ted Kord.
