The Proposition

Rate this book
Carolyn Hardy is a no-nonsense engineer on the fast-track, and is less than impressed when after literally bumping into recklessly charming football star Michael Hennessey, he makes an indecent proposal for her time that she's only too happy to refuse.

Two years later, Carolyn and Michael meet again under rather forced circumstances. Realizing the sparks are still there, Michael is determined to show her how much he's changed. Aided and abetted by the ever-present contingent of Hardy and Spenser family members, Michael slowly breaks down Carolyn's defenses. Soon, she succumbs to the simmering attraction of the new Michael. Meanwhile, a web of broken trust and deceit has been steadily building around them, and jeopardizes all that is important to Michael: his reputation, family, and Carolyn.

As Michael's world crumbles under this major developing scandal, Carolyn must confront her doubts to discover the truth about love and trust in her own heart.

Loved it again,, my second time reading this book. All the twist and turns: Michael's 360° turn-around into maturity, Carolyn's walls crumbling as love found her was refreshing. Can't wait to read the other two books of this series, if I can find them. Love you again Ms. Harrison!

Great Read!

I’ve enjoyed this author’s work since I read the first book of the Spenser-Hardy series over ten years ago! Ms. Harrison is talented in character development, suspense, and overall plot. I’d recommend this book to romance lovers.
