You will

• Catholic rules to live by from Scripture, Tradition, and the Catechism
• Answers to common questions about what Catholics really believe
• Refreshers on Catholic doctrine from the sacraments to moral theology
• Ways to defend important Catholic teachings in daily life
• Traditional prayers and important lists to remember

This is an ideal resource for Catholic school students, catechists, RCIA catechumens, and anyone seeking to understand and discuss Catholicism intelligently. It will be a frequently used, lifelong resource that will draw you in for longer reads than you expect.

“When I saw this book’s title, I presumed Shaun McAfee had produced an updated version of a classic Catholic dictionary, such as those by Donald Attwater, Fr. John Hardon, and Fr. Peter M. J. Stravinskas. Not so. McAfee’s offering makes no attempt, as the others did, to be comprehensive. It aims to be captivating — and it is. It’s an eclectic, idiosyncratic, and delightful compendium of definitions and explanations, with many topics not found in any other Catholic dictionary.” — Karl Keating, Founder, Catholic Answers

This book is a comprehensive MUST HAVE for every Catholic regardless of vocation or age. Not only is it beautiful (glossy pages, thoughtfully formatted, color images) but it contains what clearly must have been years and years of research by the author thoughtfully consolidated into a perfect sound bite size answer. Most topics end with additional resources so the reader can take a deep dive into that particular subject. Not only is this a great, reliable resource for parents to refer back to when answering their children’s questions, it would also be a great resource for any theology student, any person interested in apologetics, any employee of the Church, grandma, and maybe Pope Francis himself (I kid on that part, but you get my point). The price point on the amount of information included is quite literally a steal of a deal. Bottom line: I will be gifting this to everyone I know.
