REAL LOVE AS IT IS. MESSY. COMPLICATED. AND SINFULLY ADDICTIVE.

Olivia Boothe has always been drawn to stories that blur the line between devotion and destruction. She writes emotionally charged romance infused with dark fantasy, magic, and high-stakes desire—where love is never simple, heroes are beautifully flawed, and passion can be as dangerous as it is intoxicating.

Her novels are known for their deep, layered plots and slow-burn intensity, because for Olivia, romance isn’t about the first kiss or the happily ever after—it’s about everything that happens in between: the longing, the sacrifice, and the moments that change you forever.

When she isn’t writing, Olivia can be found devouring books across every genre, binge-watching her latest TV obsession, or hosting Tuesday-night wine and junk-TV therapy with her girlfriends. She lives in Northern New Jersey with her husband, three sons, and her mini Aussie writing companion, Rosie.

MAN OH MAN! I don’t even know where to begin. I have been loving the Hell’s Angel series since I cracked open the first book, Afterworld. I was overwhelmed in Descension, the second book in the series. My emotions were all over the place as they fought for survival. You do need to begin at the beginning or you will be lost.

An apt description is one already given in the description: Supernatural meets The Walking Dead in this retelling of Lucifer’s Fall dark fantasy romance.

Because I continue to watch Supernatural, and The Walking Dead series, it is easy to visualize the battles fought between good and evil, and angels and demons. Samael has taken Kate’s family. She knows she will have to meet him, face to face, but that’s okay, because she will do ANYTHING to get them back.

Kate feels God has forsaken them and I wonder about that too. Is he operating from the background, feeling the characters need to figure it out for themselves? Is he on vacation, not caring if they live or die? I wondered if he would step in when they were at the lowest. I absolutely love the way Olivia Boothe handled the issue.

Every time I read a book that blows me away, I wonder how an author even dreams the story up. After all, they are making up a world and characters that make me laugh and smile, and cry and berate all that is holy for allowing something to happen, to scream at the heavens. At times I held my breath, rapidly reading the words that spanned the pages, breathless, eager to know what’s coming, but hating to come to the end.

I have loved this series soooo much that I feel five stars is not enough, though that is all I have. I hate to see it end, but I feel Olivia Boothe ended it in a spectacular fashion. I would not change a thing. If you are a paranormal lover, I can not recommend this enough!

Thanks Olivia, for the opportunity to read and review Reckoning: Rise Of The Guardians.

Received as BookSirens ARC - I gave this 4.5 stars

I've read this entire series of Kate, Jax and the group. I was very much looking forward to reading this last instalment, and it did not disappoint.

As with the other books, this one did feature many religious references, although I found that this hit them much harder and went much darker. This book also felt more like a grimdark fantasy at times, compared to the other two.

While I feel all of the books had clear supernatural elements to them, this one played on that trope much deeper. I think it worked, but at times, it seemed a touch convenient. I don't want to give spoilers, but there are parts where I found myself sitting there and thinking "What the hell is this?" Even so, I still loved the book and everything about it but that was a very small part of why I didn't give it 5 stars.

The other issue I had was I found Jax's chapters, at times, a touch hard to follow. Many of his thoughts were his imagination and were certainly meant to make you feel like he was in a dream sequence, but each time, it took me a bit to find my footing. So they threw me off in the flow of the story.

I was completely satisfied with the end, albeit there were certainly a lot of heavy emotional and sad portions. This book also concentrates heavily on the battle Kate had between saving Jax and Luke, and saving everyone else. She had a lot riding on her shoulders, and at times, you could feel the weight of that.

I don't want to say too much about this, but I did mention that in the two previous books, while I get that there would be romance and sexual encounters, I could have done without them. Well, this book certainly lacked that (for a good reason), and I was 100% fine with the small amount of it that occurred.

And lastly ... thank "god" they made it through!!! Anyone who reads this series will understand that comment!! Thanks to Olivia for writing such a wonderful series.

Reckoning is the third book and conclusion of an apocalyptic trek through lands decimated by evil. Small victories may have been won over time but the war is not over yet, as MFC Kate

yearns for the family taken from her, and remains determined to get them back.

Surprises, danger, angels, suspense, twists, emotion, family, betrayal, and intrigue infuse a plot that keeps readers who have immersed themselves in the series consistently on the edge of their seats as the final battle with the Devils Army, and Samael unfolds.

Fast paced and excellently written with characters who are expertly crafted, this final journey will hold you immersed to its final page.

Reckoning: Rise of the Guardians is the third book in Olivia Boothe's Hell's Angel series. It grabbed my attention from the very beginning and never let go. It had me glued to my seat through each battle. As always, the fighting scenes are my favorite.

The descriptions were written so well that I had no problem picturing everything in my head. I would love to see the Hell’s Angel series made into a TV show. I can only imagine the graphics. Speaking of TV Reckoning reminded me a lot of the X-Men and the Avengers in many ways.

I really enjoyed the fighting scenes with the zombies and the demons. Angels and demons fighting each other in a war for control, light vs dark. Yeah, loved it. Heaven and He!! fighting against each other for the win of course. Angels fighting for the freedom of humans.

Kate is fighting for her family. Kate’s husband and son have been taken and she will not stop even if she has to fight forever to bring her husband and son back home with her.

I am sad to see the Hell’s Angels series end, but hopefully, we will see more from this world in other books. I have loved every book in this series.

I recommend Reckoning to all paranormal fans! Grab a copy of Reckoning today!

HOLY CRAP!!! Talk about a finale that keeps you in a chokehold the whole way through, with your heart ready to burst out of your chest and the adrenaline pumping through your body like crazy! I could not, for one minute, put this book down once I started. My eyes never wanted to leave the pages for fear that I would miss something huge about to happen. My emotions were put through the wringer, and I wasn’t sure if I would make to the end in one piece. I laughed, I cried and I screamed NOOOO, many times before I got to the final chapter. This was ONE HELL of an intense rollercoaster ride!

Kate is one mighty and extremely fierce woman. After having her family literally ripped away from her by Samael, she is not going to let that destroy her, she is going to do everything in her power to get them both back. The determination and resiliency of this woman is something to aspire to. Does she have her vulnerable and weak moments, hell yes she does, but that just makes her stronger and more of a force to be reckoned with in the end.

The situation that Jax was in had me wrecked. It was heartbreaking, gut-wrenching and I hated that this was being done to him and to Luke.

The amount of shocking and gut-wrenching twists and turns this story takes had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with anxiety and raging at the atrocities that were transpiring right before my eyes. These characters took blow after blow and still fought to the death against the evil that was destroying their world.

The outstanding and incredibly creative imagery and world building was so well done that it instantly transported me to this apocalyptic and decimated world, and I could feel every emotion (whether it was rage, anger, hate, pain, passion or love) as it poured off the pages.

This finale was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! It was filled to the brim with suspense, action, violence, danger, emotional turmoil, betrayal, corruption, passion and an incredible love that could not be broken by evil. And that final ending – OMG WOW – so much better than I could have ever imagined.

LOVED IT!!

Wow, what a ride! After a long wait, the final installment of the Hell’s Angel series does not disappoint, delivering a gut-wrenching, action-packed, and emotionally charged conclusion. Losing Jax and Luke, who were taken at the end of book two was a devastating blow for Kate, but with the creation stones still in their possession, Samael’s sinister plan hangs in the balance. This time, the stakes are higher than ever—Kate isn’t just fighting for survival; she’s fighting for her family, even if it means storming the gates of Abaddon itself. Most of the gang returns for this thrilling finale, though heartbreakingly, not everyone makes it to the end. I’ll admit I bawled my eyes out at the fate of some. The signature blend of biblical references, angels, demons, and explosive battle sequences is as exhilarating as ever, keeping me glued to the pages as our survivors face impossible odds. The final confrontation was absolutely breathtaking, with jaw-dropping twists and revelations that left me reeling along the way. The only thing I found strangely disappointing was Kate’s conversation with God (yes, THE God!), which seemed almost anticlimactic after everything she, and everyone else, had endured. But you know what they say – ours is not to reason why… With the time she lost stepping through the portal, the reunion between Kate, Jax and Luke was somewhat bittersweet, but they were finally all together again. And with the monumental burden placed on Kate’s shoulders at the end, I can’t shake the feeling that this might not be the last we see of them. All in all, this finale is a stunning, pulse-pounding triumph that will stay with me long after the final page. Bravo!

First of all, you definitely need to read the two previous books in the series, "Afterworld" and "Descension" to have any clue what is happening.

Just because a major battle is won, does not mean the war is over. Samael has Jax and Luke - 2 "ingredients" he needs to be able to leave Hell, come to Earth, and take over God's throne. Kate is determined to get her family back anyway she can...even though everyone is exhausted and recovering from their battle wounds.

I enjoyed the flow of the storyline. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Where is God that even his highest angels can't locate him? Are there spies within Kate's crew? Will someone be a "Judas" and betray them after all they have endured? Or can Kate finally end Samael and all the demonic entities he throws in her path and close the gates of Hell forever? Will she finally be able to hold her baby in her arms again, or will Luke become a vessel for Samael and be lost to her forever?

The battle scene between Kate and Samael held me captive as I found myself unwilling to stop reading until the close. I felt we found the answers to the questions we needed answered. The ending was both heart rending and healing. The conclusion had some big surprises for Kate and the reader which really put a bow on the whole thing. Truly a fitting ending for a sensational series. Well done!

Thank you BookSirens for the ARC.

This is the final book in a post apocalyptic romantic fantasy that features: angels, demons, tortured book boyfriends, a cute puppy sidekick and a completely badass FMC that saves herself and everyone else.

This is one of the rare trilogies that each book is better then the previous, I found book one to be 3.5/4 stars, book two was 4 stars and book three brought it home with an amazing ending and conclusion earning it 5 stars. I couldn’t put it down.

Normally I stay away from post apocalyptic books that revolve around a more biblical apocalypse since sometimes they end up being one of two extremes: either overly preachy or anti-religion. Olivia perfectly balances fiction with the traditional Christian biblical apocalypse mythology. She has characters with blind faith, some with no faith and some who struggle in their faith. The way she writes her characters even has you invested in the ones who are only on the edge of the story.

She really allows the grit of being the apocalypse show through into the every day actions and lives of the characters, like a celebration when toilet paper is found because we all know we would throw a party for that too. The romance grows in a truly heart breaking and realistic way. There are deaths that break you; redemptions that make you cry and an ending that will ….. you know what read it and find out yourself.

Reckoning by Olivia Boothe is part three of the Rise of the Guardians series. The battle is about to begin. At stake…everything. Kate is embroiled in multiple battles…and wants her beloved, Jax. Jax has been suffering through his own horrible fate. Meanwhile, all of mankind’s existence hinges on the precipice.

So, this story wasn’t really what I thought it would be. There’s are massive religious undertones, lots of angels, demons, and such. Battle after battle…some of which are won…others lost. Shocking revelations throughout. Somewhat of a romance…but, EXTREMELY slow burn. Overall, a pretty good story. 3.5 stars

I loved the ride that was is the Hell's Angel series, and I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.

THE FINAL SHOWDOWN (JAX, KATE AND COMPANY)

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

This is the final story for the “RISE OF THE GUARDIANS” series where the world is at its worst and Samael is at his strongest. Secrets are revealed and Kate finds herself. This story had me emotionally involved and there were moments where my eyes watered. Olivia’s stories make one either question or strengthen their faith. A superb apocalyptic story.

In "Reckoning" we get the finale conclusiong to a well written action-packed dark romantasy in a dystopian sci-fi fantasy series.
And what a ride, this was so captivating!

There's spice, banter, action, romance, friendship, family and also angels, demons, zombies and the list continues...
.
Great story and great plot!
