Sweet and extra spicy! Absolutely loving this Taboo series by Mackenzy Fox. Mr. Petrov definitely let some red flags fly in this one, lol. Kinda stalker-y, kinda manipulative, but in the world of make believe, he's definitely everything Imogen needed. The spice in this one was five alarm and if you're looking for something quick and sizzling, Mr. Petrov will definitely hit the spot. Super excited for the third book after reading the teaser.

Where can I get boss like this?

Khristian and Imogen start off very down and dirty - you’ll need several fans on you reading these scenes. And they connect despite the oddity of it.

Flash forward and he’s her boss. Let’s just say no fraternization with subordinates doesn’t apply with them.

You’ll fall in love with these two. The steam alone will make your heart sing. But they have their own haunting pasts that will make your heart hurt.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. So this taboo series is HOTTTT. I was immediately hooked to this series after book one, but Mr. Petrov OWNED ME. I knew going into this that it would be hot and addicting, but I wasn’t expecting THIS LEVEL of addicting.
Khristian Petrov. THIS. MAN. He will ruin you for every other book bf you’ll ever meet. Not only is this character full on alpha, but he has an incredible heart and a mouth on him that will leave you DRENCHED. In sweat, of course…
After a devastating breakup, Imogen meets Khristian when her best friends gift her a voucher to a s3x club, and he shows up as her escort. After having an incredible night together, she doesn’t expect to see or hear from him again. She never expects him to leave his number wanting to see her again.
She definitely didn’t expect him to be her potential new boss when she interviews for a new job either.
The pull these two have towards one another is so magnetic it’s almost impossible to not physically feel their chemistry as you read this book.
Each with their own history of heartache, neither realize that them being together is what it will take to heal.
Everything about this book had me throwing 5 stars at it.
I loved these characters, their banter had me chuckling throughout the entire story.
I loved how strong a character Imogen is, she’s got a backbone and is upfront with what she wants.
Khristian gives off grumpy vibes. With the right woman, he is nothing but a teddybear. A teddybear with a foul mouth, reeking power and s3x. For the right woman, he will give his whole heart and the entire world.
These two are fire together, a real power couple!

Oh sweet little Imogen! She started out so sweet & innocent, but my lord by the end she could match Khristian w/his very dirty, filthy & sexy mouth! I want a Russian hottie for a boss like Mr. Petrov! This book was soooo sexy & steamy, my toes were curling-ALOT! There were so many scenes that were… HOT! The way Khristian worshipped her was sexy, & the things he said & did were just panty melting.
I loved everything about this book. It’s more than just a sexy dirty taboo romance. It’s got a nice storyline w/emotional heartbreak & angst, a little bit of drama, a really great sexy romance & it’s all tied together in the end w/an epic epilogue that I loved seeing & was smiling through. These two were perfect for each other & deserved their HEA. Khristian saved her & made her smile again, & I loved seeing how comfortably & easily she blended right in w/his family. And she was able to give this billionaire his dreams of a family. My heart broke for him when he was telling Imogen about Oliver.
Next is Mr. Devereaux!! I’m super excited for this hot forbidden stepfather read that will feature Charlize & Alistair!

I need some air and water…. It’s so hot in here and I am melting after reading the book. Mackenzy you did it again, hats off. Khristian is an amazing character who loves to give everything to his loved ones. He is sweet but intimidating. He is kind and lovable but with a hard exterior.

The story is so simple yet so passionate. Every page gives something new to get excited about and the spicyness is next level. The forbidden love story is so much forbidden but it flows like wind. It’s fast but pure, it started on a lie but went ahead with eyes open. The possessiveness just takes the breath away.

Imogen is such a gem person. She and her friends are thick as thieves and are together in every situation. She is strong and perfect in many ways. The chemistry between her and Kristian is like wildfire that just spreads even wider when the wind blows and does not diminish it. I loved every bit of the book.

The mouth of Mr Petrov is something out of the box. Their back-and-forth is just hilarious and made my day. You can eat the book in one sitting and will still not be satisfied. I can bet that you need more of them just like I want more and more about their future and what happens further in their lives. I guess, I need an extended epilogue.

Definitely a page turner, I was thoroughly entertained throughout reading this novel. This is book 2 in the Taboo Series and there were a lot of things I enjoyed in the book, but I didn't like it as much as book 1.

I didn't connect with the FMC and aside from the chemistry between the characters during the spicy scenes, things felt a little forced.

Imogen is down on her luck and her friends think, what better way to cheer her up than getting her a gift voucher for a sex club! 😂
The two meet when Khristian pretends to be an escort from his own club in order to have a night with Imogen.
Things come to head though a few days later when Imogen attends an interview from a new jewelry store, only to come face to face with the CEO, Mr. Khristian Petrov.

This book was sweet and SO spicy! Khristian and Imogen both have a lot of baggage and some trauma from their pasts that they work through together. I love that nothing ever pushed them away from each other and they were able to conquer all together.

I’ve absolutely loved the Mr. Taboo series to far. As much as I loved Lukas, Khristian might now be my favorite. 😂 I cannot wait to meet Mr. Deveroux next! 😍❤️

The age gap is 12 years. (She's 30, he's 42)

They have a one night stand in a kinky nightclub. He leaves his number even though he's not supposed to and she doesn't message him for a few days until they agree to a date night on the Wednesday.

Wednesday morning she has an interview at his company, they go on the date anyway after and she sucks him off in the limo.

After this point, every other chapter is just sex for 3 chapters then a break for half a chapter before repeating the cycle.

They sort out the court case just for the next chapter to skip to 6 months later then the epilogue being 3 weeks after?

The epilogue was 20 pages long?! That's longer than every other chapter!

Mr. Petrov is a steamy, spicy, emotional taboo romance between a boss and employee. Mr. Petrov is a billionaire, owner of jewelry stores, hotels, and a somewhat secret s3x club/escort business. After the loss of his fiancée and unborn child in a tragic car accident years earlier, he has been uninterested in any sort of real relationship bouncing from woman to woman in casual situations…that is, until he sets eyes upon Imogen one night in his club. He discovers that she is planning to use the escort service and cannot stand to have another man at his club put his hands on her, so he shows up posing as the escort and spends one spectacular night with her. He leaves her his number, but she just assumes its a way for him (the escort) to get more business out of her and is unsure if she should contact him. She is very surprised to find that when she shows up to interview for a manager position at a new jewelry store, that he is the CEO of the company. They are both drawn to each other but insist they must keep it professional…but that doesn’t last long at all. Pretty soon they have entered into a secret boss/employee relationship where they cannot keep their hands off each other.
This is a great, quick, spicy read for anyone who loves billionaire and/or taboo romances. Mr. Petrov definitely waves a whole bunch of red flags around-borderline stalkerish behavior, maybe a little manipulative, but in a work of fiction he is everything a book boyfriend should be! Imogen needed someone who cares about her, and wants to take care of her, and he needed someone to bring the life back to him after the loss of his family. The spice in this book is definitely one handed, wake up your partner level hot-Mr. Petrov is a pleasure dom…take that as you will. 10/10 do recommend!

I’m officially weak in the knees for Khristian Petrov, he is a pleasure Dom & he will make you need to a cold shower from how much he enjoys bringing his little rose pleausre. If you read the first book in this taboo series then you know Imogen Anderson who is Ariana’s best friend, this is her story & boy does it get hot. Imogen is going through a rough patch in her life, so when her friends gift her a voucher to Endeavors to live out her fantasies, she’s hesitant but goes for it. After an unforgettable night with her mystery man, she never thought she would come face to face with him at a job interview. Khristian is very interested in his little rose & was even before their night together, but now that he has her so close he refuses to let her go even if that means he probably will need to rewrite the company policies. Khristian has suffered trauma in the past, so moving forward with Imogen is a shock in his heart but he can’t help his feelings. Honestly the way this man cared deeply about her happiness & even through his trauma he was able to let his emotions out properly. There is an age gap between them, but it wasn’t an issue when it came to these two especially when came their sexual appetite. If you have ever read about a pleasure Dom then you know this man thrives off her pleasure & happiness, he literally worships her in every way. I loved their story even with the bumps of Imogen’s ungrateful mother & step sister, they both came so far in such a quick time. The epilogues really pulled my heart strings especially with his family taking Imogen as their own, the tears were just flowing at that point. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Charlize next.

I have no idea what Mackenzy puts in these books but I promise you they are freakin DELICIOUS and ADDICTIVE! I read this book in just hours after picking it up, I didn’t want to put it down. And the spice starts immediately which really drew me TF in ! 😅

These are taboo romances packed with spice and swoon worthy stories with a great plot and everything you could ask for tucked into tiny little packages. 🫠

Imogen and Mr. Petrov meet in a very different, taboo way. However, after only one night, they know they can’t possibly stay away from one another. Only to have Imogen show up for an interview and find out that her one night stand has turned into him being her new boss 👀❤️‍🔥 well, I’m sure you can imagine how that turns out. HOT. FREAKIN HOT. Is the answer.

THIS MAN is possessive, expressive, a bit of an alpha-hole, and isn’t afraid to go after what he wants.. and what he wants more than anything is HER. 🥹

The ending was chefs freakin kiss. It’s no surprise to anyone here that I love a good HEA and this HEA was probably one of my favourites. 👶🏻👶🏼💍

We meet Ari’s friend Imogen. She has had a bad year, losing her step-dad and her boyfriend. She is in a slump. Her friends gift her a night with a man how knows his stuff.. an escort.

After the best night of her life, Imogens life looks better minute for minute. Lukas Bentley (MMC book 1) got her an interview with his friend who runs a jewelry company and is opening a department in town. Only when Imi is at the interview and the boss joins in on the meeting. She is looking into the eyes of the man that made her body come to life more than once. The man she can’t stop thinking about. The escort. Only now he is apparantly also maybe her new boss.

Khristian Petrov is a CEO. Not an escort, though for one night he pretended to be, because the thought of any other man touches the goddess he has seen in the bar, is unbearable. He wants her, he needs to know her. He needs to feel her under him. This is the second book in the Taboo Series. You are absolutely going to love Mr Petrov. The man is extra spicy. This is the story of Khristian and Imogen. Their story jumps right in the deep in from the very beginning and you won't be coming up for air until you are finished. If you don't have a book boyfriend then you are going to close this on with one that you won't soon forget. I am a sucker for a dirty mouth on a man and he certainly has a great one. All alpha male but with a heart of gold. Imogen is a girl fresh off a devastating break up. We have all been there and experienced that and hated it as much as Imogen. But when she meets Khristian at the club her best friend gave her a gift voucher too things heat up quickly and it is the best night of her entire life. However she sure never expected to see him again at her job interview. This is the story of two people who have both been through some things that have left them jaded but this might just be the chance they have been looking for. You do not want to miss this book. If you haven't read the first book I highly recommend it too.

Mr. Petrov is the second book in the Taboo Series by MacKenzy Fox. This series just getting better. Khristian Petrov (MMC) is a man with a broken heart until he meeting Imogen (MFC). Imogen is treated by her best friends a gift voucher to a sex club after she lost her job and broke up with her long-term boyfriend. Khristian who is part owner of the club sees her and wonder why she is at his club and is STRONGLY attracted to her. The sparks were flying even before they met. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Their meeting is off the chain. She really enjoys this night together and expects this to be their one and only time together.

Unknown to Imogen, interviews for a new job….guess who she interviews with…Khristian.

Although Imogene is having a rough spell, she is a strong woman who has a voice and knows how to use it. She stands up for herself in order to get what she wants. Both of them have past history that they need to work through. But their chemistry and attraction to one another just melts off of the pages. I really enjoyed this book.

MacKenzy Fox saved me from a potential reading slump. I was on the brink of one, but “Mr. Petrov” grabbed me from the first chapter. I’m loving this series. Book 1 was “Mr. Bentley,” known as the Silver Fox and an ex-dad romance. Readers are introduced to a set of friends, including Imogen. In Book 2, Imogen is down on her luck and “couch surfing.” Her friends treat her to fun at the schmex club to cheer her up. Unbeknownst to her, the person she ends up with is not who he says he is. When Imogen applies for a job with a jewelry company, she doesn’t expect to run into the man she was with at the club, Khristian. And, though Khristian was hoping, he certainly didn’t expect to have another opportunity in the business he owned.

”Mr. Petrov” had everything that I was looking for. The age gap was there. Khristain is forty-two, and she is twelve years younger. He is a pleasure. D0m and MacKenzy Fox wrote the most detailed spicy scenes that accompany this. I loved all the secretive moments the two characters had together. I also liked how Khristain handled the bitter people around them. It was a great read!

Although Imogen and Khristian met under false pretense, there is no denying their chemistry. I mean it is 🔥🔥🔥 After that night they both felt the connection but thought they would never see each other again. WRONG. He is now her boss but that doesn't stop them. 

Imogen definitely grew into such a strong and vibrant individual by the end of the book. Khristian began to heal after some pretty traumatizing past events and let Imogen in. The mouth on that man, let me tell you 🥵

I can't wait for Mr. Devereaux next!!!

✍️ We get sucked into the story right away with Imogen wanting to let go for one night. I was hooked as Imogen takes a daring step into the unknown by joining a -special- club. And who is there to help her fullfill those needs? Khristian Petrov. Their initial night together ignites a fire that refuses to dim and that doesn’t change fast. Because Imogen quickly learns that he will be her boss when she becomes store manager for one of his jewelry shops. Mr. Petrov’s raw passion and honesty left me breathless. Imogen's independence and sweetness perfectly complement Khristian's brooding demeanor. What truly sets this book apart is first of all its treatment of the age-gap romance trope. It focuses on the genuine connection between two consenting adults. But also how understanding Imogen is of Khristian’s past and how she wants to be there for him.
And the epilogue ties everything together so, so, beautifully.

All I have to say is holy heck O'Moly with this book. Book 1 was hot this one will leave you wanting more and your panties or boxers wet. Imogen had her life planned and was ready to start when the rug was pulled out from under her. Her best friends gave her a night at an exclusive club but she was not prepared for the man that walked in. Khristian Petrov has always had everything in place. He knows what heartache is and has no plan to do it again. When he and Imogen get together it's like the Heavens opened up. But more than that it was putting hearts back together and a future that neither of them saw coming. Khristian can be bossy, but I loved how patient he was, how if Imogen spoke he really listened. Can they have their happily ever after though? Or will it have to end when Imogen starts working for him? God, I can't say enough about this story as I could not and did not want to put it down.

Mr. Petrov by Mackenzy Fox is book 2 in the Taboo Series about three friends who all find love with older men in different 'taboo' scenarios.

When Imogen Anderson meets Kristian Petrov, she thinks he's an escort but he actually arranged to meet her after being captivated by Imogen from afar.

Both of them are shocked though, when she walks into a job interview, only to find out the boss is her 'escort' and the potential new store manager is the woman he broke the rules to be with.

Imogen and Mr. Petrov resist each other for about a 'minute' 😄 After that... it is spicy practically everywhere 🔥

They are honest with each other about their feelings and previous relationships, which I loved. This sets the stage for a healthy, long-term, committed relationship between lovers turned coworkers.

Such a fun read, I really loved Khristian and Imogen's story. After breaking up with her BF - Her two besties get her a Gift Card if you will.. for a very special night she wont soon forget.. but when that man that gave her a night of passion and pleasure turns out to be the CEO of the Job she is inquiring about.. we all know how thats going to end.

Khristian was amazing and was focused on pleasuring Imogen - I loved the chemistry and passion these two shared.

I first heard of this Taboo series by Mackenzy Fox from a post on a book event signing I am going to and she is going to be there. I read book 1 Mr Bentley and was hooked.. I went to the Zon and grabbed the rest in the series.

I cant wait to start Mr Devereaux! I also can not wait to Meet Mackenzy in October and get the actual books signed!

Khristian Petrov is a boss that I would most definitely work for! That man saw something that he liked and did what he had to so that he could have it…or should I say her. Something that was supposed to be just a night turned into more than anyone could expect. Khristian has been through A LOT and he built his walls up. My heart literally broke for him when I found out his story and you will feel the same!

Imogen has a lot of drama in her life so when her two best friends give her a night at a “spicy club” she takes it. It’s nothing that she would normally do but she stepped out of her comfort zone and found perfection. But then her perfection turns out to be her boss and now she knows he lied to her. It’s more drama to add on top of all her family mess.

I love that while it starts with a “club” scene/situation, it’s not about that. There are obviously some great spicy scenes but there is depth to the situations both main characters face.

I enjoyed the book but I did feel like certain phrases were repeated a lot, especially with the spicy scenes. I also felt like some of the inner dialogue was a bit repetitive. I was able to look past that but I figured it was enough to be mentioned.

Overall, it’s a good book though so give it a read and check out book one, Mr. Bentley before you do.

This was a quick but steamy taboo read that will keep you enthralled until the end. Imogen is in a slump lost her dream job, ex-boyfriend was a tool and her mom suing her. When her friends set her up with gift card for a wild night. Khristian has steered clear of relationships but when he sees Imogen for the first time he needs get to know her. This is a fast-paced story that will give you so must joy as you read. Both characters have so much baggage, yet they truly heal and complete each other. The steam was exceptional and lite the pages on fire. Khristian is the book boyfriend we have all been waiting for and he is perfection, Protective, caring, romantic and takes what he wants. Imogen didn't stand a chance. I can't wait for the next book this series has been fantastic. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
