After all, it was supposed to be only one night.

Eryx

ok…

The plot was good but i could barely get passed the typos and the general air of unediting. “Roise” instead of Rosie, missing words and letters in sentences. And also there was a particular scene where he picks up blue roses but then she picks them up and he walks over and grabs the other side of the box?? Im just so confused. Little things like that add up to me not being able to be fully present while reading.

Another problem for me with this book is it feels like the author is writing an inauthentic black woman. Like the author doesnt know black women in real life and just knows stereotypes and caricatures. It just seemed forced and clunky.

Unexpectedly In Love is a dazzling fusion of passion, humour, and suspense that left me utterly spellbound from start to finish. This book seamlessly intertwines love, drama, and danger.

In book 2 of this series, we are treated to Anise Loveridge's captivating story, and once again, I enjoyed the remarkable dynamic between the sisters, their banter brimming with wit and warmth. I found myself yearning to be a part of their world, to experience the camaraderie and love they shared.

Anise's unexpected encounter with Greek Billionaire Eryx Demopoulos leads to a night of unforgettable passion and a series of unexpected events that change the course of their lives. As the story unfolds, we witness the complexities of their relationship, intertwined with Eryx's ambitions to take over the Greek mafia. The romance between Anise and Eryx is both tender and tumultuous, filled with drama, humour, and heartwarming moments. I found myself laughing out loud due to Kyros Eryx cousin and the sister's tomfoolery amidst the tension and danger.

I am extremely excited about Rosemary's book.

What a waste!

What a waste of a storyline. This book was the most poorly edited book I have EVER read. The love story of Anise and Eryx ( such beautiful names) was made more interesting by the involvement of her three sisters and his three cousins.
I don’t understand how an author can take pride in such poor quality work: so many typo errors; missing words; misspelling; sentences that don’t relate to what was written before or after. A HOT MESS. Too bad. I’m hoping to read Rosemary’s story. I hope it’s better edited.

Unfortunate

This could have been a really great read. However, the poor editing took the joy out of it. The misspelled and misplayed words made it difficult to concentrate.

KT Adler you have to do better…you owe it to us your readers!

Prepare to be swept off your feet in KT Adler's latest installment of the Loveridge Sisters series, "Unexpectedly In Love." This book is a delightful concoction of passion, humor, and suspense that will leave you breathless from start to finish.

In this second book of the series, we follow the captivating journey of Anise Loveridge, who finds herself entangled in a whirlwind romance with the enigmatic Greek billionaire, Eryx Demopoulos. Their encounter, meant to be just one night of passion, blossoms into something deeper and more profound, setting off a chain of unexpected events that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What truly sets this book apart is its rich tapestry of characters. The banter between the Loveridge sisters crackles with wit and warmth, drawing you into their world and making you wish you were a part of their close-knit family. Anise's journey is filled with drama, romance, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, thanks to the antics of her cousin Kyros and the unapologetic sass of her mother, Myrtle.

But it's not just the main characters who shine in this story. Rosemary, with her fierce spirit and magnetic presence, leaves readers eagerly anticipating her own tale. And let's not forget Rhet, whose cameo appearance adds a touch of nostalgia and ties the story neatly into KT's broader universe.

However, it's important to address the elephant in the room—the grammatical and spelling errors that pepper the book. While these flaws may detract from the reading experience, they are but minor inconveniences in an otherwise captivating story. Yes, there are moments of confusion and frustration, but they pale in comparison to the sheer joy of watching Anise and Eryx's love story unfold.

In conclusion, "Unexpectedly In Love" is a triumph, a masterpiece of the romance genre that seamlessly blends humor, drama, and danger. Despite its flaws, KT Adler has crafted an outstanding piece of work that will leave you eagerly and impatiently awaiting her next release. So buckle up, dear reader, and prepare to be whisked away on a rollercoaster ride of love, laughter, and sisterly bonds. I cannot wait until the next book. KT, please don't keep us waiting too long!

The storyline is just okay. It is funny because Anise has a discussion with her sister who is a romance writer, about all the tropes used in romance books that bug her because they seem too far fetched to be true, only to end up living out at least 3 of the tropes due to her involvement with the male lead.

I am in total agreement with the many other reviewers of this book that the editing of this book is so terrible that I believe it to be non-existent. Wrong words used, words missing, grammatical errors, tense errors, pronoun errors, prepositions and conjunctions missing, misspellings, etc. At the beginning of this book the author gives thanks and kudos to someone she refers to as her editor. These are the responsibilities of an editor: "Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors. Rewrite text to make it easier for readers to understand. Verify facts cited in material for publication." The person that is getting credit as her editor is doing none of these things. I read one page that had at least 5 errors on it. It is beyond distracting. I read the first book in this series and had the same complaint only to find that this book has even more errors than the first.

These sisters have grown up in a stable home with loving parents, and I am happy to read a book with successful black women. However, I am frequently dismayed by their selfish behavior, and their attitude that seems to be that all compromise and understanding must come from the male, and any sort of behavior from them is not only justified, but must be worshipped and beyond merely tolerated. Successful relationships require both parties to be empathetic towards the other, and Anise shows little concern for her husband's issues and responsibilities as he assumes the role of head of his family, which includes more then just her and their son, just as her family include more than just him.

I sincerely hope the author reads some of these reviews and takes to heart the complaints of the readers. She should definitely get a new editor to go back and review these books and correct these errors and fix errors in her future books before they are published. This horrendous editing issue will most assuredly keep her from becoming a better author, and relegate her books permanently to low ratings and eventually readers will just stop reading her material as it is deemed "not worth it".

Funny, warm, drama filled fabulous piece of work!

This book is an intoxicating blend of romance, humor, and danger that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The male lead, while captivating, often elicited the urge to punch him square in the jaw with his shenanigans. But that man has BDE, so I knew he would come correct in the end. I felt like I was falling in love as they fell in love! Love the strength Ani exudes!

What truly shines with this book is the dynamic between the female characters, their banter crackling with wit and warmth. The bond between the sisters is palpable, adding an extra layer of depth and relatability. I wish they were my sisters! I have fallen for each one of the girls.

Kyros, with his hilarious lack of filter, injects the story with bursts of laughter amidst the drama and danger. His antics provide comic relief whilst intriguing you to want to know more! I can't wait for his future book - hint hint KT!

Rosemary, is a force to be reckoned with—savage and unapologetically herself. Her presence is magnetic, leaving readers eagerly anticipating her own story and relishing every moment she graces the page.

Rhet, making a cameo appearance, adds nostalgia, tying the story neatly into KTs' broader universe. I love that man! I miss that man!

Overall, "Unexpectedly In Love" is a triump, a masterpiece of the romance genre that seamlessly blends humor, drama, and danger. Congratulations to KT Adler for crafting such an outstanding piece of work that has left this reader eagerly and impatiently awaiting her next release!

Second Time Not The Charm

I tried to give the second book in this series a chance thinking that whatever the problems the author had the first time around were just flukes, or sloppy editing, or a hurry to meet a deadline. But no. The mistakes this time around were even more egregious. Numerous spelling errors. Homie for homey, for example. Lack of cohesiveness. Time jumps from hours to days to weeks to months, back to hours again. Changing a character’s age ON THE SAME PAGE. Grammatical errors out the wazoo. There’s probably one on the first page. I found myself trying to insert words where there were obviously ones missing and having to replace ones that didn’t belong. I had to figure out how some sentences were structured because they just didn’t make sense. I want to say that I enjoyed the story, but I can’t. The way the errors were written into the story, the sisters sound uneducated and oversexed so their stories feel contrived and farfetched. It’s hard to suspend my belief in reality and believe in their characters and their romances. Maybe help from an editor could help me feel more confident. As of now, I am going to remove KT Adler from my read list so that I don’t get any more recommendations.

In the 2nd book of the series, we have Anise Loveridge’s story. We got a glimpse of her story in Sage and Zac’s story. However, we received more of the full story. We begin with what leads up to Anise meeting Greek Billionaire Eryx Demopoulos. After sharing an unforgettable night and unexpected events the pair go their separate ways. Fast forward to the present day, Anise comes face-to-face with Eryx and this is when everything changes.

Eryx Demopoulos is the CEO of Oceania he has plans to take over the Greek mafia in place of his ailing father. However, he has a few curveballs including a newly discovered son he shares with Anise. I don’t want to give away too many spoilers. I will say it was interesting seeing a different side of Anise. We also get to know more about Eryx as well. She and Eryx not only built their relationship with each other and as parents to Kai. There was drama, romance, and humor, especially from Loveridge’s mother Myrtle. Overall, I enjoyed the story. I am looking forward to the next Loveridge story with Rosemary and “Beetle”. I have already started building up my theories.

Story was good BUT where is the editor???

I want to continue the series but don't know if it will be worth it. The first book was good but had missing words, a lot of them, but I put them in and went on with the story and thought the next would be better. It was worse! The stories are intertwining but the missing words are so annoying. I haven't read any reviews yet but will after posting this. If she can reread the stories a few times or have people read them and let her know what is what before publishing them it should work out for her. I would have been truly upset if I paid for this because I would want my money back.

I know the review is harsh but that is because the àuthor has so much potential! It upsets me because there are two more sisters to read about and I so want to read about Cassia and Cid.

I laughed my head off regarding Erykah and the cousins changing the baby diaper. That alone made me look over the mistakes and continue with the book.. But please do better.

4.5⭐️

Anise and Eryx were a perfect match, there was a lot of laugh out loud moments and the story just flowed. Excellent plot that wasn’t too drawn out and you really saw a bond between the four sisters, which kind of gives me hope in families (idc if it’s not real, I loved to see it). Anise was definitely a character we all grew to love especially with Kai. The side characters were not overlooked and that’s something I liked, they all got helped to shape the story in a good way. Definitely didn’t want the story to end but I know book 3 for Rosemary will be top tier.

Only criticism is the grammatical and spelling errors as it tends to throw you off when reading and there were quite a few. Besides that minor hiccup I really loved Anise’s story, but if you really want a cackling session Sage’s is funnier and you can’t help but love Zac and the kids as all stories intertwine.

Im giving this 5 stars cause its KT but…

… a new editor is needed badly!
Love KT! She’s a great writer and a sweet person.
Her latest release in this sisters’ series is in need of some cleaning up. The story is good and it was awesome to see Rhet make an appearance, but I’m left with questions, and I believe it’s b/c there are holes in places in the story maybe?…but it could be b/c of missing/incorrect words and spelling mistakes throughout the entirety of the book. Some graphs left me guessing what was being communicated.
I look forward to seeing KT mature and gain more womanly wisdom in her storytelling. There were some hot scenes in these pages. She’s getting there…and hopefully with a better editor!

I’m trying to figure out if this was supposed to be a dark mafia romance or a romcom? The author seems confused as to what type of romance they want this book to be? The lack of editing was a huge distraction for me. Spelling errors. Grammatical errors. Sentences that made zero sense. I do not believe that Eryx and Ani are in love. Compete lack of development of the relationship. Poppy and Nik are back as Zac’s precocious kids who talk like 40 year olds. The sisters relationship is a little too much and invasive. And correct me if I’m working but has their mom not seen the newest grandchild - Sage’s daughter- due to consistently getting her back blown out?

Like the first book this one had so much potential.

So good with a few errors

I enjoyed this story and getting an update on my all time favorite, Rhett was excellent.

This book has everything cute kids, living families, alpha men and sexy times. Yes there are grammatical errors but I was able to over look that for the love of the story.

While she wasn't really relevant, I was kinda expecting to see Paige pop up before the end.

And Cid and Cassia... Oh my heart. I can't wait for their story, at least I hope they have a story

Anise and Eryx are just too much!

I loved that Anise had presence of mind to get out of that dangerous one night stand. I knew she was going to be pregnant because she dissed Cassia's romantic.tropes so hard. I loved that their story had the right amount of danger in it. I read this book first so I was seriously.pulling for them. I love the sisters' relationship and how right, wrong or indifferent they have each other's back. I am really looking forward to Rosemary and Beetle's story and Cassia's story after that.

Hot and Steamy with loads of laughter

Eryx and Anise are cute!! They are both head strong and full of love! This book was so full of laughter... the way the sisters support one another for anything is awesome. I love how Eryx and his cousins and Cid are more like brothers and help protect one another. This series is so so good!! Great job KT! I can't wait to read the next Book!

This was my second effort to try to read this series and although I didn't give up this time, this is just not my type of story. Since love is in the title I was expecting more expressions of it, to me its mainly this focused on the "family life" he's involved with and her family life, separately. He has charisma but was too cold and closed off to be a good relationship match, in the end they only have their mutual attraction as a foundation.

Cute

This was truly such a cute read. The author took the mention of typical romance tropes and did her big one. I think I especially loved that although I was aware of the main characters being different races, their race was not necessarily what carried the book. It was great that the author honored diversity in a way that was subtle yet still honored the nuances of her characters. Also, the sex scenes in this book were immaculate.

I can’t explain how much I loved this book. But now I’m sad because I finished it and now I have to wait for Rosemarys book.

I laughed...I cried...I loved!

My words can't fully express how much I enjoyed reading this book.
Yes, there are some editing mistakes. But that in no way takes away from just how good this was.
I absolutely laughed out loud & cried real tears.
Give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great Read

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny with the right amount of humor and sexual encounters. The mfc and mmc had chemistry from the start and I love the sisters. My problem is that there are too many grammatical errors. That was very annoying hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Fun romantic read. Great characters!

I really enjoyed the book! The cast of characters is wonderful and the story development was good and kept things moving. I'll continue to look for this author but I do have 1 complaint. Please please please Get yourself a good editor. The gram magical mistakes were far too common and a bit distracting from your wonderful story. Thanks

3.7 stars! Pretty good! Honestly the biggest thing for me that would have made this story better was less typos. They were so glaring that it took me out of the mindset of book and I’m not a grammar nazi so to speak so this was really killing me. This was good; I def want to see the other sisters HEAs and curious to see how it will pan out!

Love the Sisters, But…

I’m not mad at how implausible the story is ( the author addresses this in the cheekiest of ways). What gets me is the gross errors. Words are missing; punctuation is off…and it’s a nuisance. Too frequent to be ignored. But will I wait for Rosemary’s story? Probably.

Editing skipped. I gave up trying to keep the story straight

It is very distracting, switching from present to past tense. And from 1st person to third. So many words were omitted, I had to stop reading this. An editor or beta reader would have helped immensely. In many passages, I could not determine which character was speaking.

This is a good series

Loving this series. Can’t wait to read Rosemary’s story. I love these sisters.

Anise’s story, this book, was another good read. I was wondering how the author would resolve “the Family” part. The ML and his “family” were all interesting characters. Enjoyable

So good. I laughed, Swooned, got mad, was ready to go to battle like I was one of the sisters. I cannot wait for the next and need all the players in this one to have their own or “share”. If you want to know what I mean by that you have to get into these pages!!!
