Good book for every swiftie. It takes you through her life and albums and with a description of the meaning of each track (the meaning of the vault and bonus tracks is missing though, i would have loved if those were described more as well). I really enjoyed it and the length of the book is good, not too long, not too short :-)

Luin tästä suomennetun version. Kyse on fanikirjasta, josta on turha hakea kritiikkiä Swiftiä kohtaan. Hehkutus pidetään jokseenkin aisoissa, mutta Eras-tourin kohdalla kirjoittaja ratkeaa monenlaisiin ylisanoihin.

Eipä silti, onhan Swift tehnyt uskomattoman uran jo nyt ja rikkonut monenlaisia ennätyksiä ja lasikattoja. Jotenkin sitä kuitenkin odottaisi tietokirjallisuudelta neutraalimpaa otetta. Vastaavassa (saman kustantajan ja hyvin samalla tavalla taitetussa) Bruce Springsteenin kuvitetussa elämäkerrassa sentään reilusti todettiin joistakin albumeista ja biiseistä, että nyt ei oikein lähtenyt (lopussa oli lista albumeista huonoimmasta parhaimpaan). Tässä sen sijaan on jokaisesta (!) Swiftin kappaleesta lyhyt, useimmiten ylistävä luonnehdinta.

Sinänsä kirja on ihan hyvin laadittu, mutta on vaikea keksiä, kenelle tämä on suunnattu. Fanit tietävät nämä asiat jo, muille riittää Wikipedia. Ehkä joku ihan fanituksensa alkuvaiheessa oleva voisi tälle löytää käyttöä? Todennäköisesti kustantamo on kyynisesti laskenut, että riittävän moni swiftie ostaa kirjan ihan vaan koska se kertoo Swiftistä.

Veramente carino, con anche brevi descrizioni riguardo alle canzoni (seppur non tutte, ma ci vorrebbe un libro intero quindi ci accontentiamo).
Ho letto ancora una biografia di Taylor? Si. Ti stancherai mai? No. 🤭
