Briella Wilson is a quiet librarian who houses two secrets. Both of which could destroy her.

Unfortunately for her, two students that attend the college that she works at—Grant Gipson and Jason Nani—have a taste for forbidden fruit and harbor a dark obsession for their sweet-natured college librarian. Determined to possess her before they graduate, they and their friend Trip Baniker offer her a choice: play their game or they’ll expose what they’ve uncovered about her to the world.

These three young men are twisted, dark, and addictive. Their game brings as much terror as it does pleasure. But toeing that line is dangerous for all of them. Will Briella manage to keep her secrets, and her heart, safe as she’s forced to play their game, or will all four of them find themselves staring down the barrel of a loaded gun?

Not a Peep is a dark romance. It's a standalone with MMFM and a HFN, written in 1st person. Please check the content notes or the author’s website before proceeding.

When Groveton College’s star running back, Grant Gipson and his best friends, Jason Nani and Trip Baniker play a wicked game, librarian, Briella Wilson has more at stake than just her dream job.

Whew! Ever had a naughty librarian fantasy? Yeah, me too. Come (pun intended) along with Briella as she navigates the pervy predicament she’s found herself in.

This was my first MT Addams book, but won’t be my last. I enjoyed, not just the spice, but the suspenseful storyline. All our characters had a colorful past, some of which found its way to the present timeline creating a perfect balance between smut and story!

TL:DR The blurb made it sound way more devious and non-consensual than what it is. Hence 2 stars.

I read this due to the rave reviews from GR friends on here and the blurb. I think the blurb gave me the impression that this would be a dark romance with interesting shades of grey characters. I instead felt things played it too safe and skipped logic when it didn't suit the narrative.

I think if I enjoyed the sex scenes more, I'd probably rate this higher lol.

1. The romantic relationship or sexual escapades were not satisfying.

This was safe with no sense of danger or uncertainty from the boys to Briella's mental or physical well-being.

While the boys do blackmail Briella to be their sex doll, it is clear early on that they treat their toys well. There was only one scene where I felt the boys were actually mean and their actions may need to be explained later on, but aside from that, they were just overbearing and punished Briella through forced O's.

They basically behave like highhanded boyfriends who play dom/sub games. I think my expectation for dark romance is more like Trent Evans, Sara Fields, or Cari Silverwood. That to me, is where dark starts.

The boys are somewhat antagonistic to her, but easily give in. I found their conversations to get to know other uninspiring to read. It's like the author thought, "we need a scene where Briella gets to know them, have the characters dump back history and struggles now!" and the result is this necessary but very boring exposition dump.

The boys gave in to Briella so easily. They thought poorly of her character for blackmailing the teacher but they easily changed their tune when she helped them out and also cooked good food.

2. Character motivation doesn't make sense

So Briella is a real estate agent. She also really wants to be a librarian. When being blackmailed, she decides to stay in her librarian job. The desire to be a librarian but then she's also scrolling at houses? I just don't understand why Briella wants to be a librarian or why she wants to be one so badly she will stay.

That she is the friend of Pianna makes her too removed from the danger. Yes, she instigated the car drive but she is also just the friend of Pianna. It doesn't make sense to me why she would be the target. I feel like it would have made more sense if it was Pianna who was the main character or at least have there be more reason for Briella to be targeted.

I also feel like the fact that she is SLEEPING WITH COLLEGE STUDENTS IS NEVER EXAMINED OR EXPLAINED.

I think she's only in her thirties and they're in their early twenties, which basically gender swaps the age of like, 98% of romances. But still. Twenty-something year old boys are dumb as rocks so convincing me they are smart, loyal, and thoughtful protectors for a 30-something woman will never make sense to me... But I am not a fan of age gap trope. This one doesn't harp on the age too much, but I tend to notice it.

I also feel like I started skimming so maybe I missed this part but WHY WAS JASON SLEEPING WITH THE PREVIOUS LIBRARIAN IN THE FIRST PLACE. If someone who read the book remembers, please dm me.

3. I did like Jason

The one thing the book convinced me of was Jason kinda cute. I wished the story was just about him. I saw him as the only one who was actually psychotic. He actually thought Briella would like him and accept their blackmail happily. He was always playing nice with her but he's literally forcing her into their sex games lol.

I think addicting is the right word for this book. Because pheww I’m addicted. I need the next book like I need my next breath. I took a while for me to get through the first 100 pages of context but then I couldn’t put it down. I was neglecting my duties, reading at work, and literally putting my phone on mute till I finished this book. It’s. That. Good.

The book isn’t cheesy, which a lot of dark romances are. There was a good flow and most importantly the WHOLE BOOK MADE SENSE. There was no plot holes, everything was realistic as it could be. The author did a good job of showing trauma and didn’t glamorize it for the story. On top of it, the spice was amazing. Spice level is: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

*side note I’m in love with all of them. Grant, Trip, and Jason. I wish they were real I love them all so much already.*

This book left me craving more!! A forbidden attraction coupled with secret obsession and dirty little secrets is the perfect storm that is this book.

Bri, Real Estate Agent turned librarian after leaving a small town to move to a college town. Since fraternizing with students is against the rules, our young librarian secretly watches Mr. Curls from afar for over a year. But was she as sly about her watching as she thinks.

Jason aka Mr. Curls studies at the library three times a week like clockwork and has noticed the young librarian and decides to make the first move since she won't. Grant, football star and Jason's best friend, is the "leader" of this trio of friends. Trip is not a student but every inch the bad boy, with his doom and gloom stare, tattoos, and muscles. Insert sigh here! The two friends agree to Jason's request to pursue the librarian after Grant does a thorough investigation of her background.

This investigation reveals one secret that she's been hiding and is used against her in order for her to agree to become their doll to do with as they please when and where they please. The three friends do everything together but this is the first time they've shared.

Throughout the book, the game changes when it turns out that Bri isn't as awful of a person as they originally had thought and after she selflessly offers unsolicited help the games starts changing.

Check the content and trigger warnings!! But this is a definite must read and I can't wait to see where this goes...hopefully.

I loved the idea of reading a reverse age gap though with heroine was only 33 and the heroes 23 to 35, but somehow the story didn't hold my attention. Some sexy, kinky scenes for sure, but the story was just...boring and a lot didn't make sense. Why was the heroine so interested in being a librarian? Why was a big deal made of her being a real estate agent, which she liked to do, but didn't pursue, at least not enough to jeopardize someone else job? What else did she have going on in her life besides that previous event with her best friend and her unethical behavior?

Bri was a just a morally grey as her guys, Trip, Jason, and Grant. And while the story seemed to want to demonstrate that they were mean to her, they really were infatuated with her. They simply wanted her.

I imagine why this story didn't hold my attention was I didn't know where it wanted to go, and it didn't inspire me to want to find out. I knew Bri would have to pay the piper at some point over the crime she and her best friend, Pianna, committed early in the book, and that naturally the relationship with the guys would evolve into a romance. Other than those, why should I continue reading? I will DNF 33% with the possibly of continuing in the future because the dub con was on point and I loved the flip to having an older, over 30 heroine in a story.

There's a lot about this book I liked. But there were questions left unanswered.
My biggest miff, it's tagged as a standalone with a HFN ending but it actually ends on a Cliffhanger!!!

I don't mind cliffhangers for dual or series with an eventual HEA/HFN, but for a standalone....no!

the Authors name is wrong it’s actually written by Pearl and co authored by A Tate

Despite the fact that the MMCs were forcing consent via blackmail and all the other massive Icks they came with my most hated character in this book was the FMC.
The whole “I don’t want to sleep with them but my body does” is what gets rapists out of jail. Also she can’t fight off the MMCs but somehow manages to fight off Danny? Get out.
All of this mess, the forced consent being humiliated and treated like crap, all because she wants to continue being a librarian? Even now she won’t tell them about the guy being 16?
the blackmail was so unnecessary because if she had of went to the police jackie would’ve been fired and put in prison where she definitely belongs.
I like make believe in PNR and fantasy but ffs in contemporary make it believable. I love dark romance but this is just rage bait atp.
It’s not dub con it’s forced consent.

“Taste that, dollface? That’s the taste of a woman who is properly owned and used. Not a woman who hates her situation. Remember that the next time you want to spout nonsense.”

Heavy on the bullying and emotional damage, Not a Peep is a gripping new release from MT Addams. It was a one-sitting read that kept me up way past a reasonable hour.

I recommend checking the TW, as there are some uncomfortable bits – the MMCs are assholes incredibly hard to love. They never really grew on me (see the below spoiler for details). Perhaps I would have found them easier to like and forgive if we had been allowed their POV, but we were kept with the FMC’s POV throughout. I never had the chance to connect with their characters.

I would have liked the FMC to take a stronger stance against their actions. This is a reverse age gap on paper, but the FMC’s maturity level didn’t match her age. The men claimed they had picked her, and enjoyed torturing her, because she was such a strong and independent woman, but I didn’t get that same impression. I NEEDED her to push back more than she did. The desire to see her finally grow a backbone kept me racing through the pages.

This book is fast-burn and very spicy. The majority is MF or MFM+ with light MM with multiple kinks explored - Dubcon, coercion, blackmail, degradation, forced o, punishment, cock warming, and more.

This book ends on a cliffhanger, though it’s billed as ending in a HFN. I didn’t feel the relationship arcs were 100% resolved by the end. The good news is that if MT revisits their story in the future, there is room for the emotional growth I was craving, and perhaps a true HEA.

Genre: Dark Contemporary Romance
Tropes/Features: Dark elements, forbidden romance, reverse age gap, librarian/students, bullies/enemies to lovers, forced proximity, found family, angsty, blackmail, coercion, stalker, OTT J/P, who did this to you, kinks (includes punishment, dubcon, cock warming, spit play, DVP, TP, and more)
Narrator: Single 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: Why Choose MMMF, fast burn, spicy
Book Type/Ending: Standalone in Groveton College series, billed as HFN (I would classify it a cliffhanger)
TW/CW: Available in book

Wonderful! And a great way to start 2024.
This is my first read of the year and what a way to kick off the New Year. Fingers crossed every read after this will be as good!
I've read another book by this author ("Summon Us") that I liked and picked this one up to enjoy more of the author's snappy, realistic writing. The author really hits their mark with this book. There were so many things I liked about it: the scrappy but also vulnerable heroine, the diverse characters, and the very steamy scenes. The "group activities" in this book are just Chef's kiss. I'm not usually a fan of "two-in-one" scenes (I wince just thinking about the ouch), but this author made it work. The reverse age-gap (older heroine, younger "harem") and teacher/student angst told from her perspective also really worked for me.
Thinking back over the whole book, there's one thing that really stood out to me. It's a little bit of a spoiler, but I think other readers will like it, too, so I'm going to mention it. One of the "heroes" (who are all morally grey) is a cinnamon roll and when he starts pouring his sugar all over the heroine, she could have caved and gotten sucked into a toxic relationship. Instead, she resists. There was a moment where I was rooting for her to give in to him because her resistance clearly hurts the guy. But I think that's a brilliant touch of characterisation by the author. The heroine *knows* that the situation the guys have her trapped in is not healthy, not sustainable, and she fights back to gain equality within the foursome instead of just becoming their "dolly." I really liked that.
Highly recommended and a great start to 2024!

This is my first book by M.T. Addams, and she knocked it out of the park! If you've been following me or friends with me on Goodreads for some time, you know I rarely give five stars. But this was just so entertaining and suspenseful.

The blurb sounded so interesting that even though reverse harem isn't my favorite trope I signed up for the ARC from Facebook. (It's amazing how many books I've ARC-ed lately that I discovered on Facebook.) I was so glad that the execution was masterful.

The first chapter (prologue) was a little weird, and I wasn't sure if I was going to like the book/where it was heading. But then it got really good!! Briella is one of the librarians at Groveton College. She got that position by blackmailing one of the former librarians into quitting. She finds one of the students, whom she nicknames Mr. Curls, very attractive, but since he's a student, obviously she isn't going to do anything about her crush. However, Mr. Curls and his friends decide to take charge, and they in turn blackmail Briella into being their "plaything".

It took me a while to warm up to two of the guys, Trip and Grant. I never really liked either of them so much. I know that's ironic because I'm giving this book 5 stars. I loved Jason, Mr. Curls, though. He was dreamy. But I did like how all the guys were over-the-top possessive and obsessive. I always want to write that, but it's hard to do.

I know how the guys at the end were like there's something wrong with you, Briella. I didn't think there was anything "broken" about her; yeah, she had a rough upbringing, and blackmailing someone to get your dream job certainly isn't ethical, but I didn't think she was insane or anything. Idk, I felt like the author was trying to force something there.

This book was very spicy. I don't know if I'd call it a five because now my expectations for 5 are super high, like everything must be done from double penetration to food play to somnophilia, lol. But it was definitely spicy. I think all the guys are bi, and they love each other before involving themselves with Briella. This book had oral, vaginal, a double penetration scene, and two cocks in her (I still think that's crazy... I was afraid they were going to try for all three, and I was like this isn't an alien romance where their dicks can merge into one... I see you, Evangeline Anderson.)

There were a few typos, mostly commas where there didn't need to be commas. “Thrust me when I say there is nothing ‘childish’ about the game we want to play,” he assures me, with a slight Spanish accent. --"thrust" instead of "trust" amused me. I'm not sure the book was professionally edited, but the author did an amazing job constructing the story without one. (Or it was, it wasn't by someone who wasn't a good editor, which unfortunately is the case with some editors self-publishers use.) I'm seriously impressed.

I wish the book ended with a note about how there's going to be a sequel because this is a shared world series. The epilogue left the story open for more. Honestly, I almost thought the book was too short for the relationship development...crazy I'm saying that because I hate long books and this one was 404 pages, I believe. It did not feel like 406 pages. I only wanted the book to end at the very end (just because I hadn't been able to finish it the night before, so when I got back into it, I just wanted to finish it already), so I could write my review. (Also, sometimes when you drop a book, it's not as enjoyable picking it up again because you lost the momentum. I felt this way when I started reading the final chapters today.)

Thank you so much to the author for the ARC!! This hasn't affected my review.

M.T. Addams sure knows how to start a book. The epilogue hooks you from the first page! And the excitement continues all the way until the last page!!

This book was SPICY!! Made me wanna jump into the page and be on the receiving end of Grant, Trip, and Jason. I know college books aren’t a big hit with some readers but these 3 guys acted like grown MEN!! And I’m not usually a fan of reverse age gaps but this book made my love for the trope grow!! From the very first spicy scene I fell head over heels for these boys… Men 🥵😉

But aside from the spice was the story of Joey.. Man that made my hairs on my body stand on edge! I really didn’t even see the plot twist coming yet I remember it being mentioned!! 🤯My heart was definitely in my throat when that happened. 😱

The ending?! Whattttt!! I really hope we get a book 2 SOON!! I’m on the edge of my seat for more!!

My final thoughts? GO READ IT!!

I received this book as an arc.

ARC Review

I don’t know what to say other than this was top tier bully romance! Heavy on the degradation and dubcon! Addams really just goes balls to the walls with her writing and I am deeply disturbed by how much I enjoy the depravity. I’m legit sort of fascinated by this book. Because there is relationship development but it so subtle that you almost miss it. But then she does a good job of having the character come back and outright validate what you think is developing. Overall this is one of those books that there isn’t something specific that I can point to that I loved but I ABSOLUTELY loved it. The one thing that kept this from being five starts is that the ending just fades out. Like you don’t see it coming and then it’s like no more pages. It would seem that this is going to be at least a duet but I wouldn’t call the end a cliffhanger more of a to be continued.

RTC, jotting down notes:

CHARACTERS

Briella. FMC. JoJo Siwa "adult". Written like she's a rebellious 18 year old. Inconsistent. Brown-skinned with curly hair (and she never wraps her hair either, hm 🤔). Big mad or big horny. Somehow in a bad position, but she still has a routine of which anyone could follow her and take notice, doesn't scrub her devices or social media presences, never uses dummy accounts and emails and VPNs—yeah, she really trying to stay on the DL. 2⭐️

Jason. Uni-student. Golden retriever energy. Casually crazy. Would love to domme him. 4.75⭐️

Trip. Uni-student. Carpenter. Motorcyclist. Papa's boy. Gruff and tough but eventually caring. Still Some Asshole© but one I think I could vibe with. 3.5 ⭐️

Grant. Some Asshole©. Control freak. Footballer. Daddy’s a Big Bad. Revenge plot. OTT J/P but badly executed. 2⭐️.

Pianna. Briella’s Bestie©. Cares more than her friend gets dici than her friend having a safe space and a healthy mindset. 1⭐️.

STORY TIME

The blurb was better than the actual content. This isn’t really a “dark bully” romance. A more accurate subtitle would be “Pseudo-Dark Assholery” romance.

🙃

The actual story is about Briella (brown/black FMC) who is a bad girl, who’s done some bad things JoJo Siwa style. She helps her messed up best friend Pianna get away from an abusive gangster Joey and runs him over with her car. Though neither Briella or Pianna check to ensure he’s dead because of course they done.

Time passes.

Rea estate agent Briella catches Jackie (a librarian at Groveton to whim she is mutually acquainted with) statutory raping a 16 year old male student. She uses this as blackmail, taking videos and pictures of the two, and keeping them on her devices—which is possession of CSAM, if I’m not mistaken. By blackmailing Jackie, Briella can finally become a librarian

Only she still enjoys property surfing like an agent.

In Nimona, there’s this quote:

You want me to shift? You don’t want me to shift? PICK A LANE!
— So you’re a boy now?!
I am today~

That’s how I felt with Briella’s jobs.

Anyways, Briella has been eyefucking Jason, who is the friendly golden retriever who’s casually crazy. His friends, Trip and Grant, help him blackmail Briella with her crimes of blackmail, though, for some reason, they focus more that Briella ruined Jackie’s life rather than her being in possession of CSAM and not reporting that a minor was raped.

Cool 🥴

Briella, as standard, fucks around and finds out that, no, these boys, sorry, these men aren't just saying this; they'll go through with threats. Well, Grant will. Jason is all in. Trip is halfway. Grant is the stereotypical hold out.

Entire book is largely Briella doing dumb things and being Big Mad. She, of course, has a soft spot for the caretaking Jason. She enjoys Trip’s protectiveness. But she and Grant are always at odds as Grant is the head of the group and she doesn’t conform to his will.

Eventually, Grant’s bad decision in handcuffing Briella to a bed and leaving her in his shared flat with the other two comes back to bite him when Joey’s brother Danny assaults her, intends to rape her and murder her. She’s take to hospital, where she’s done with games, and goes to stay with Pianna for her recovery.

Pianna, who should be in a life debt to Briella for saving her from abuse, yet she easily sells out Briella to the same men who she does know has fucked around with Briella, toyed with her, and left her to nearly be raped and murdered.

Friendship is ✨non-existent.

Doesn’t matter. Briella chooses these men in the end because she’s horny.

But here’s the question: why did they choose Briella?

Well, Jason thought she was hot.

But Trip and Grant chose her because they likened her actions to the Big Bad of the story, Grant’s mafia-adjacent power-hungry father Garry. Which, honestly, if they wanted to toy with her because she was in possession of CSAM and then never reported it? Solid 👏🏾 Nope. Nah. None of that. Eventually, Trip and Grant realized she was like them, not Garry, so it all worked out I guess.

🫠

This was not dark or “bully”. This featured an incompetent FMC who was either Big Mad or Big Horny. There was a dubcon to noncon scene in these with forced orgasms via vibrator. And the blackmail did initiate the relationship. But…that doesn’t make this a dark bully romance.

I’d like to repeat that why dark fiction exists is because it gives a space for stories to tell an explicit, concentrated, and consistent deep dive into the depraved and disturbing aspects of the human psyche, how far we are willing to forsake basic ethics and morals.

Having to kneel on the floor and be hand fed isn’t that at all. Being horny all the time isn’t that all. The blackmail angle could’ve worked—but that only would’ve worked if we approached this about her storing CSAM on devices and her actually being competent and not just horny.

“Bullies” to me mean they’re actively ruining your life and you’re not enjoying it. You’re not getting horny to it. You’re fearful for your life and complying just to make it stop, not mouthing back and being snarky. And the bullies themselves can have an attraction to you, but they weaponize that.

Grant—I’ll give him that. I don’t know if I qualify him as THE bully, but he’s a bully kinda or a bully lite. But Trip is just Some Asshole®. Jason isn’t a bully at all.

So why state this is a dark bully romance. I expected all three MMCs to be bullies, not just one. And I was hopeful the dark part of this would be dark and not being too afraid to be dark.

Le sigh. Ah well. This was a freebie and it had a brown FMC, so 🤷🏾‍♀️

A RH book, where the FMC is a librarian, AND they have some fun in the library? Sign me the fuck up.

This was also my first "bully romance" and I was a little skeptical at first, but then I fell hard. This book had the perfect amount of smut to plot ration. The plot kept me intrigued, and the smut...well it was smut 😂🥵.

This one is definitely one of the hotter RH books that I have read, and I am here for it.

ARC Review— Overall I would say the story was decent. I couldn’t really connect and get immersed with it like I wanted to. I did enjoy the spice. It didn’t feel like too much or too forced within the story as a whole. For me, the story started off really good and then it kind of went stagnant until it picks up towards the end. I think I would have enjoyed the story more if it was multi pov. I feel like the story would’ve hit harder if we could see from the guys pov, especially when the relationship was starting to change for them.

dollface, dolly, doll... girl, if you don't stfu. i legit cannot with these cringe ass nicknames my god. every time i would read the d-word, i'd force my eyes to skip these letters. the last 60 pages i just couldn't bother finish reading, so technically it's a dnf.

usually i'm not above unhinged behavior in books but this was painfully cringe on so many levels. i just keep thinking back to the food scene, where she has to be on her knees and is being fed. the fact that she didn't just smash a bowl of food into one of their faces, truly astonishing... the fact that they were able to blackmail her with that one (!) small piece of information (am i stupid in thinking it's not that big of a deal what she did to get the job??)... all i'm saying is, i would have lost the plot a long time ago.

between 1 and 1,5 stars for me.

Another romance... are we surprised...

I picked this one up to satisfy a challenge to read a book where the protagonist had the same profession as myself. I also wanted to try out a 'bully romance' for fun.

Well, I enjoyed the profession part, not so much the bully romance. I think as a whole, the sub-genre is not for me. I enjoyed this enough outside of that aspect to finish it. I may even read the sequel at some point!

Things I liked:

-The FMC. I liked her character and how she had her own sort of 'dark side.' It wasn't just the male characters who did bad things. Briella had some semblance of a spine... lol

-The spice. There were some steamy scenes that were enjoyable! I didn't feel like anything was too repetitive or boring.

-The pacing! I devoured this book very quickly. I kept reading to find out what was going to happen. There was enough tension and mystery to keep me engaged and focused!

Things I didn't like:

-The ages... I love an older female protagonist and I don't mind a younger MMC. But Briella, despite being in her 30s, felt immature at times. There was also a weird sort of power dynamic as Briella is an academic librarian and all three MMCs are older college students. This is the "forbidden" element of their relationship, but it fell flat for me.

-The job parts. I wish Briella had explore more on why she was a librarian. As one myself, I would've loved to read more about it. It seemed at times that she didn't want to be one at all. I imagine in the second book her job might not come up at all...

-no groveling!! Without giving too many spoilers, the MMCs don't really grovel at all towards the FMC. They are unapologetic. For me, if I'm going to read a book where the MMC is very rude and cruel to the FMC, I want there to be some payoff. Some reward. I want there to be a scene where the MMCs apologize or change their ways. A sort of 'mean to everyone else, but you' situation. This didn't really happen, which disappointed me.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and will definitely read the next book when it comes out. I have a love/hate relationship with bully romances; which I guess is how they are supposed to make you feel. The degradation in this book was a little too much for me, but I am not holding that against the author, because that's a personal thing for me. I very much enjoy reading about dom/sub relationships, but that's not how the majority of this book was. Just be prepared for that. Their humiliation of Briella was tough to read, but experiencing it with her really makes the reader understand her mixed emotions and confusion at her own reactions to what was happening to her. She felt like she was slowly losing herself (and possibly her mind) to the men, and I feel like the author did an excellent job of making you feel that with her...never knowing what or who to trust, especially with the one man she was initially attracted to from afar. It was an important and necessary part of the story and relationship progression. I have to say, I did not like these men in the beginning, but they sure did grow on me (again, much like they did with Briella)! The hot/cold mood swings of the men and the roller coaster of emotions kept me interested and made this one a page-turner for me. I couldn't wait to see what they all had in store for her next, especially once she started to be more on board and anxiously anticipating the excitement of it all. Since this is a "happy for now" ending, you can guess where the story is going next, and I am here for it! I am anxiously awaiting book two and the development of these characters' connection into a sustainable relationship with a (hopefully) HEA!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

“You’ve been eye-fucking my friend here from afar, Miss Wilson,” Grant starts softly. “And since you won’t make a move, we’re doing it for you. I think it’s safe to say we’ve finally found a way to give you what you want.”

This book got me hooked from the Prologue and I didn’t put it down until the very end.

Briella just wanted a fresh start at her new librarian position she got at Groveton College, but she didn’t obtain this job the old fashion way, which then is used against her by the Three college boys, Grant, Jason and Trip.

They have their own things going on in their life’s but they have found something to get their minds off of everything that isn’t going right in their life’s. So they got themselves their own personal sexy librarian, who’s on call for them whenever they want or else……

“So what’s the plan for tonight?” Jason appears just above me and stares down into my face. “Death by orgasm, dollie.”

Omg this part !!! They put tape on her 🌮 to keep the 🍆 toy inside of her for 32minutes because she didn’t answer any of the 16 text messages they had texted her 😳😅🫣. They weren’t playing about death by orgasm 😂

MT brought all the spice with this gem!!!

Ya’ll - I knew this was gonna be spicy when I read the dedication but I swear on my life, just do your panties a favor and throw them aside because MT brings it all plus some in this delicious tale.

Briella is a young woman who left her past behind to start new. She is sweet but has just the right amount of bad to add to her unstoppable determination. I love that she is a fighter but still is vulnerable.

Jason, Trip and Grant - this trio is something else. Even when they are being complete jerks, there is just something underneath to keep me under their spell.

MT blew me away with this - it’s the perfect level of dark mixed in with the suspense and steam. I love how this talented queen balanced the high level of spice with a well written plot that’s packed full of twists along with MMCs I despised to love but couldn’t stop myself from falling for. I could not put it down from the start and am ecstatic to dive into the next book.

Why do I do this to myself?

I found what I thought was a standalone book and it was so perfect. I love the plots I love the space.

The book understood the assignment that it was given having a reverse age gap why choose romance.

Then, am so happy everything is going great until the last few paragraphs!

It ends on a cliffhanger!!!! The next book won’t be out until August! Why, just why?

These boys knew what they wanted or I should say men knew what they wanted. And got it by any means necessary. I love their dynamic. I also love that this has swords crossing.

But now we have a bigger threat looming over in the shadows, and the spread has finally stepped to a plate. Now I need to figure out why this threat is actually a threat.

I will be buying a physical copy of this book, and I cannot wait until the next book!

Read from recommendation in reading contest I’m in.

More like a 2-2.5⭐️ because I wanted to keep reading to see how it played out. How was the author going to redeem our MMCs?

First and foremost: Read and take the TWs seriously.

Reverse age gap but didn’t really feel like it.

Bully romance that never really stopped bullying until the very end.

No real authentic apologies yet all is forgiven?

Didn’t feel connected to any of the characters really…

Lots of spice but meh… figured out bullying and degradation do nothing but piss me off. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Can’t hold it against the book & author though.

If you’re into bullying, degradation, cnc, dub-con you’d probably enjoy this more than I did.

Look i liked this book... but the nickname "Dolly, Doll, Dollface" just did not sit right.

To be honest, in my opinion, i completely forgot about the fact that she was a librarian. Like it didn't even refer back to her working in there. Sure it mentioned about how she was going to work but the boys, who are still in college mind you, always just show up and shit.

Was there actually even a plot during this whole story line?

I mean the smut was fucking incredible. Absolutely scrumptious.
