As stated in my review of the first book this is clearly AI driven writing and it is all more prominent in the second book. The story shows so much promise if only it were properly edited and tweaked. CHAPTER 8 is a perfect example.
You have people who are away one moment and back the next. An entire war scene where someone dies only to have a speaking role demanding retreat in the next page.....and then they go back to drindral as malekith calls a retreat on the request of the would be dead person. They chat with her and she is made to believe that she failed zaxos ....even though malekith hasn't talked to him.....them magically aric and malekith are fucking in a tent.....she was kneeling on the floor in the sentence just before and then malekith is touching aric all of a sudden. They fuck and then wake up to an empty tent and a messenger demon saying they are being summoned by zaxos ...... the AI writing is really aweful and looping alternate story versions . There are SO MANY inconsistencies it is hard to follow.
Chapter 9 is more of the same they are back in drindal one moment and then in the same page they are traveling and requiring rest before getting to drindal. They are being summoned again by zaxos to be punished? It is unclear how we got here when Vizra aka Vezara (another name anomaly) is the one who failed?? Also when did zaxos gwt to drindal he was at the ebon tower....and why are there magically human prisoners when there is and entire side quest for aric who frees them. Another inconsistency malekith stands before zaxos after being summoned but then zaxos says malekith requested an audience which is it??
And then there is the call back to the scrolls in the library that were never mentioned again. Aric is mentioned not seeing vizra since then but we just read chapters of him admiring her in battle. The "spy master" who chapters ago was just some old untrustworthy demon.

While a good continuation of the series, the book is rife with spelling and formatting error, large and unexpected leaps between not only chapters but between paragraphs that make the story quite difficult to follow. This is so bad that there are times it seems like you skipped two or three pages only to realize it was a very jarring change or omission by the author.
