I’m always falling for the wrong woman…and Sierra Winchester might be the worst one yet. There is a feud between my family and hers. She was born trouble. Her estranged husband is out to kill me. And, she’s as loony as her Maemaw.None of that matters. Because she’s the perfect woman for me—“Kid”—the black sheep of the MacMillans. Biker. Destroyer. A man who knows exactly how and where to hide the bodies she’ll leave in her path.
Calia Wilde believes the hero isn't always the good guy. She writes novels with highly-flawed, imperfect people to give HEA hope to readers who need it, or just want to imagine killing their tormentors.

This follows along the line of Romeo and Juliet’s story with feuding families and the pull Kid and Sierra have for one another not to let go. When Sierra is in trouble she runs to Kid and the rest of the brothers in the Destroyers MC. This book was definitely a page turner with the whole rollercoaster ride between Kid and Sierra.
I struggled with this book for days because it was very difficult for me to read.
I liked the description of the book, but when I started reading the story was cold and without any emotions, I could not connect with the characters from the book and I am very sorry that I gave such a low rating.

Take some Hatfield’s and McCoy’s, throw in some illegal moonshine, stir in some backwoods mountain people, domestic violence, a motorcycle club, and a crazy Meemaw and you have Dueling Flames. The author packs a lot into one book, which keeps you on your toes. You have to pay attention to all the various aspects of the story for it to make sense. I enjoyed the book enough that I read it in one sitting. I just wanted to keep turning the pages.
The book has a solid plot and great spice. The characters are complex, and the plot is filled with wounds from the past, estrangement, and false beliefs about what others think. The plot gives the characters the ability to overcome challenges and navigate their journey of self-discovery, healing, redemption and love. I liked the coupling of Billy and Sierra. They had some of the same background. They were both outcasts in their community. Both wanted love and a family, and they found that in each other. I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to fans of biker romance, forbidden love, strong alpha males, and stubborn mountain people romances.

This author is a new discovery for me and what a great discovery she is. Dueling Flames is a Hatfield and McCoy-esque story. The "dueling" families are the " law abiding" MacMillans and the "he*^ raising mountain family the Winchesters. This storyline and these characters are absolutely fantastic and there's absolutely no way readers won't fall in love with them. Billy Jacob "Kid" MacMillan, black sheep of the family and Sierra Winchester couldn't be more different yet more perfect for each other. Kid is a hard fall, hard fast kind of guy when it comes to women and it's always the wrong woman when he does fall.
"My heart needed an equal, not a doormat."
Sierra is in a bad marriage and when she needs help, the first person she goes to is a MacMillan. Kid to be exact and she's exactly what he needs. This girl is FIERCE! She's tough as nails and stands her ground and takes no prisoners. She's a perfect fit for nit only Kid but for the Destroyers as well. I absolutely LOVE this book. I can't wait to get into the others in this series!
Wow, I was not expecting the ride this book took me on. It seems like one thing happens and changes a ton of things later. I really enjoyed the story and I highly recommendit, even if you aren'tinto MC books. Kid and Sierra are drawn together like gas to a fire even though their families are rivals. You can't help cheering them on and hoping things work out. It all starts out when Sierra is running the family diner by herself and Kid stops by for some food. Next thing you know Kid is teasing her about kissing and then they are in the bathroom. Sierra's husband, who she hasn't lived with in two years, walks in and her life gets turned upside down. Now Sierra's living with a biker gang but her husband doesn't want a divorce and tracks her ddown. The ending is crazy but so good. The Romeo and Juliet of the Appalachian Mountains. Billy ‘Kid’ McMillen and Sierra Winchester’s families hate each other, Billy is estranged from his law enforcement family and joined a Motorcycle club who are a better family to him than blood. The Winchesters are a tight family but Sierra’s dad still encouraged her to marry a bully straight out of school, a bully with connections. Billy has a visit to his home town on an MC errand which leads to an ‘encounter’ with Sierra that leads to a confrontation from her estranged husband for her that starts a domino effect on her and Billy’s lives and those of his club and their families. This is a really good story but I found it hard to follow at times and know which character is speaking at that time.
Dueling Flames is Book 6 of Destroyers MC, I throughly enjoyed reading this book. I found it to be both suspenseful and a page-turner. I love how the author is able to bring the characters to life through her words and writing. I absolutely love Kid and Sierra, I found them both to be interesting and charismatic. I couldn’t even set my kindle down until I finished the whole book. I thought Dueling Flames to be amazingly well written. I’m not going to give out any details on the book because I don’t want to spoil it for others. However, I would highly recommend this book to others. Another amazing MC romance book!!!! I’m most definitely going to be checking out more books written by this author.

This was an engaging read for Sierra and Kid as these two opposites find a forever kind of love together. This is a Romeo and Juliet style story, so you know there's going to be drama and family troubles ;) Sierra was such a fierce gal and I loved her. Kid hasn't had much luck in love but couldn't get over how he felt such a strong pull to her. He knows he has to resist it...until he just can't. His MC brothers help him with her abusive ex and it was a crazy reading ride as they worked towards their HEA. I couldn't help but root for them to find happiness in amongst the action, danger and drama. Good fun!
This was so much fun to read. Kid and Sierra were a fantastic match they were lucky to be able to not only gloss over the family feud but to also be instrumental in getting it revoked. The families were so much alike just different sides of the same coin. I have a feeling that their families will be the ones to wind up naming the babies and that could result in some real tongue twisters. But when all is said and done there is do much love on both sides that the children will never lack for loving family to watch over them be it mountain folk or bikers those kids will be spoiled rotten.

This is a really good page turner. It weaves together a story that'll unfold a tale about two feuding families. There's the law, the MC, polar opposites, love, danger, and a looming fight. These are just a few things that I liked about this book. I also liked the interactions between the main characters, their banter, the way they are towards each other, like they're meant to be. But not without some complications along the way. Overall, it has an interesting storyline that keeps your interest in everything that's taking place and happening.
Billy Macmilan and Sierra Winchester’s family have been feuding for years, his are with law enforcement, hers from the Mountain, Billy known as the black sheep left his family and joined the Destroyers MC. On a trip into town he goes to the diner and runs into Sierra, they have a moment which has consequences when her abusive husband runs into her. She wants a divorce and is on the run, there’s only one person she can think of to protect her, even with the feud between their families.
"Kid" has a habit of falling for the wrong woman so when he runs into Sierra, he's sure she's the wrong woman too. Their families are feuding with each other. The attraction is strong so when Sierra needs help, she goes to Kid. Kid and his brothers in the MC club help Sierra and protect her. Good MC storyline with lots of action and romance. Likable characters. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Poor “Kid” has a habit of falling for the wrong women. He obviously has serious trust issues from this and then he runs into Sierra, a total spitfire, who has her own relationship drama. Together they are magic but constantly fighting their feelings because neither wants to be hurt again. Throw in family an MC drama and you are in for quite a ride with their story.

Kid has a tendency to always fall for the wrong woman, and assumes that Sierra is the wrong woman. She is still married and she is on the other side of their feuding families. Sierra leaves her hometown and runs to Kid for help.
While I enjoyed the book some of this was a little confusing, why some of the characters acted they way they did.

This action-packed story borders along the lines of Romeo and Juliet with two dueling families and two lovers determined to be together no matter the course which is what happens with Kid and Sierra who are totally opposites. This story is filled with antics and banter that kept me turning the pages and cheering on this couple to get their chance for happiness. This was a fantastic read. I absolutely loved Kid and Sierra’s story ❤️❤️❤️ nothing like a good ol’ family feud and a Romeo and Juliet story to keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I was thoroughly entertained throughout this book. Loved all the characters, Meemaw is a woman full of magic. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
OH WOW 😮 this book was a mind blowing steamy romance of a ride between them was like a rollercoaster ride and the physical attraction and the chemistry was absolutely spicy. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
I really enjoyed reading this book. The story flowed smoothly and was well written and worth the time. Lots of action and intrigue for readers. The couple had very romantic chemistry between them. I would recommend this book and author to others.

This book was interesting, to say the least. It's a bit hard to follow with the way it's written. It's not really my thing, but it could be someone else's. Just give it a chance and see for yourself. 2 on my spice scale ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶
Wow. I found this author by accident and am so thankful I did. I never read a book in the series but that really didn’t matter. I fell hard for these characters within pages. I couldn’t put it down. I am going right out to find the other books in the series. Absolutely epic.
This book was definitely a page turner with the whole rollercoaster ride full of action, backwoods mountain people, moonshine, domestic violence, and an MC. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough
This is a good read. Sierra and Kid are and a great couple. They go thru a lot but end up stronger as a couple. I like that this book is from a series. It’s always nice to see other characters.
