Cute and some good concepts! Had never put a name on ‚bartering’! I honour the vulnerability Cat Lantigua approached this process with, but would have loved a deep-dive into comparative literature and concrete examples (to compare her own experience to). Basing a story on first-hand experience is great, but contextualising it is needed to avoid the narrative becoming too surface-level and one-sided.
