This appears to be a pretty good introduction to economics. It's not easy and quickly gets into the jargon followed by acronyms and then puts those acronyms on graphs. But that's not the reason why I abandoned this book. I was just so bored and unengaged. I tried jumping to chapters that I thought would be of more interest, but I was still bored. I realised I can't consume content like this in written form. It just doesn't work.
This is a very clever book. Pithy explanations of economic concepts. Plenty of dad humour. Brilliantly written. Contemporary cases, and up to date with the latest literature as of the time of publication. 10/10 as a refresher text for folks who have studied economics and don't want to pick up a textbook.
It's exactly as the name implies, a no frills overview of Economics. Doesn't swing to hard new school or old school (but doesn't ignore either, as perhaps some Econ devotees may hope).
