We're getting so close to the end I'm actually sad. I guess I'm just very attached to Fairy Tail as a universe and can't get enough of it despite all the flaws. I love seeing the characters evolving but I miss the camp vibe of Fairy Tail before the 100 years quest. Mashima has worked very long on Fairy Tail and I'm truly happy about that. Therefore I hope we'll get a real great finale and close Fairy Tail in a beautiful way.
It was a really fun volume! It's mainly only action, as the battle against the Metal Dragon God begins and conclude. The action itself isn't groundbreaking this chapter, as Natsu alone does anything interesting in that fight. Though it was really fun to see him control his electricity alone! Natsu is my favorite character, and the fight is very entertaining, so of course I’m not complaining, but we’ve seen him deal the final touch times and times again. I would have loved something a little bit more original.
I feel like the pacing is getting faster and faster, and as we’re reaching the last dragon of the 100 years quest, I’m not really sure if I’m ready to say goodbye. I feel like the character development is over for most of them, as nothing truly makes them evolve anymore, like it still did at the beginning of 100 Years Quest. This story is truly reaching its natural end, and it breaks my heart.
3,5 I just can't get into this story like I did with the original Fairy Tail. The most of the (important) characters are here but I still miss the guild headquarters in Magnolia and the rest of it's occupants with their banter.

Honest gawds....Fairy Tail made me fall in love with mangas again. And if Fairy Tail could just....last 100 years it wouldn't be enough. I love everything about this world that Hiro has built. The characters and their relationships are literally the best.
